Fricano's was the perfect end to a long day. Taking myself on a solo dinner date after finishing work ended up being the best decision I could have made. When arriving at Fricano's I was a little hesitant to go in due to the fact that they closed in an hour and I didn't see very many cars in the parking lot. I was a little nervous that the servers might be off put to somebody coming in an hour till close when they weren't very busy.
But this was not the case
Walking into Fricano's I was greeted by the most upbeat friendly bartender I've seen in a long time. I think the bartender's last name was Lawton, I'm not a hundred percent sure.
This was a very friendly young man and he was honest about his drink making skills, 😉 which were just fine may I add.
I sat at the bar ordered a pizza and a rum runner I specifically think it was called a red-white-and-blue rum runner but I could be wrong on that. I did not feel rushed nor did I feel out of place. The bartender offered friendly conversation but was not overly talkative.
The pizza was absolutely 😋 delicious 🤤 I had been craving a Fricano's Pizza for about a month and sure did hit the spot. If you like pizza that's thin-crust you will enjoy this pizza. Has your basic toppings that you can add to the pizza. They do not have parmesan cheese for the pizza so do not ask or make sure you bring your own. You can dine in or you can get takeout. The atmosphere is laid-back but not raggedy. You can dine in this restaurant in many different forms you can use it for a fancy party or you can come in after a football game it can lean left or it can lean right either way you'll fit in. It's a very chill atmosphere overlooking the water quite relaxing. It is wheelchair accessible there is a large parking lot outside. Fricano's is delicious and always clean you must dine here.
Good old Fricanos! I enjoy the pizzas there, but I wish they had more craft beer options.
Great family dinner tonight! Tried the new cheese breadsticks, very good! Ted (the owner) treated us to his new Greek pizza which also was very good. Thank you, see you soon!
Great dining experience, the pizza was delicious. We got our food pretty quickly after ordering. I highly recommend the cheesy bread sticks. If you have a sweet tooth, Fricano's Sweet Shoppe on the bottom floor is the perfect place to stop at. They have a wide variety of flavors and some adult milkshakes as well!
Had the wonderful Greek Pizza. Kalamata olives, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, peperchini, feta cheese, but instead of bacon I had Mushrooms. So good I ate the whole pizza. Wife had pepperoni & sausage. We love sitting and eating with the Great view of lake on top of it all. Ted Frinaco even brought out our pizza to see how we liked the Greek pizza. This is simply our family's favorite pizza. And it just got even better!
I've been going to the Summer Cruise there at Fraconos pizza this summer on wensday night and eat there . The food is marvelous and they have a awesome ice cream parlor to boot. Definitely enjoy eating there
First time ever having their pizza today.. Not sure how I felt about it. It was good but me personally, nothing to flip out about. It didn't have much flavor and the lack of choice in toppings kinda sucked but their Spin/Art dip.. TO DIE FOR!!❤🤘.. And I was super stoked to find out that they do have a Gluten Free option, so I was able to eat with my family. So that's a bonus! If asked if I was gonna come back,... Yeah, I'll give them another shot.
Delicious pizza & great service! If you're lucky you can get a table with a lake view!
I've been a customer of Fricanos since the late 70s. This was at their original location in Grand Haven. I've enjoyed their pizza every time I've had it. Make sure, if you like a crispy crust, to order it well done.
Great thin, thin crust pizza. Had a group of 18 & they were able to sit us all together with a 10 minute arrival time.
I love thin crust pies but their "wafer crust" set a new standard of tasty for me. The pepperoni, mushroom & green pepper was good but the anchovy & double cheese was the best anchovy pie I've ever had!
Only reason I am giving them 4 ⭐️ is because if they have an event going on they don’t offer salads or breadsticks. If it’s on the menu you should offer it.
They only serve one size pie and the only toppings are pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage and anchovy. It’s perfect. I’ve read plenty of reviews complaining that they don’t have pineapple or ham, neither of which belong on a pizza. Both Fricanos, GR and Muskegon, are great!
This is not NY Style and they don’t pretend to be. The crust is super thin, the sauce is tangy and the cheese is just as it should be, gooey.
