Our first time here in south Carolina. It was an amazing experience, I was there with my wife and 2 daughters. We were all stuffed when we were done. We got 4 main dishes, 4 sides and a dessert each. They kept bringing mains and sides until we stopped. We got ribs, beef pot roast w/ rice, chicken and dumplings and pork chops. Mac and cheese, green beans, mashed potatoes and candied yams. Finished with apple cobbler. Food was delicious and very filling. We will def be back. 😁👍🏼👍🏼
When we first arrived here, we knew it was gonna be good. The building is a 2-story restaurant with a shop on the first floor and a restaurant being on the second. When we entered the building we were greeted in kindly, the lady told us where to go without any confusion. When we got to the top of the escalator, we were sat immediately. Once we were seated, a very kind waitress served us, and she did with a positive attitude that seemed like she cared about her work, which made the experience already positive. The food here is very delicious although ordering the food works in a odd manner. To order here you must order for the entire table 2 meals and 4 sides. However, they are bottomless, so you can eat as much of the meal as you want. We ordered the pot roast and spare ribs for the main portion. The sides were mac and cheese, potatoes, green beans, and cream of corn. Finally, the atmosphere at this place was fantastic. Clean tables, quiet restaurant, great view of the jet boats next door on a lake. Very good restaurant would definitely revisit, and it's all at a good price.
Our server Keith was so friendly and took great care of us! If you're looking for southern comfort food, this is the place to go. Every time we eat here the food is quality and delicious! There is a cute little shop below the restaurant as well!
The cheese biscuit appetizer was very good but try not to eat too much because you'll want to leave room for the actual meal. We ordered the fried chicken, shrimp and grits, beef pot roast, and chicken & dumplings. All of them were cooked well. The shrimp and grits was perhaps a bit too rich and buttery but still delicious. Sides were pretty standard: corn on the cob, green beans, coleslaw, and buttered rice.
Dessert was banana pudding which was great, peach cobbler, and ooey gooey butter cake. The peach cobbler's dough was a bit tough. Could be a bit better. Filling tasted like canned. The oooey gooey butter cake was not to my liking. It was like you took a cake recipe and reduced the flour by a lot. The result was like a flat, crispy, very sweet, and greasy brownie.
All of the food was unlimited. You can ask for more of everything, including the desserts. All in all I liked the food. The entrees are definitely the star here.
I just love the family style portions. Your table orders either 2 or 3 of the meats, then orders the 4 sides. Then it's all you can eat. You get dessert too. It's totally worth the price. You will be so full eating home cooked meals. The shop they have inside is great with all kind s of stuff that are priced pretty cheap....I thought. You got to go.
First time at Paula Deen's restaurant and it was delicious! Awesome customer service and the food was top notch. Chicken and dumplings, chicken fried pork chops, green beans, cream corn, cream potatoes, bake Mac and cheese was crazy good! Paid $24.99 per person but it was bottom less amount. Ask for more when you run out at no additional charge. No to go plates available but you will leave with a full stomach. Will definitely eat here again! Check out gift shop afterwards!
The southern fried chicken was amazing. The chicken and dumplings were good, but not enough dumplings. The candied yams were absolutely amazing. What a fantastic place to eat! Our waitress was so kind and served us very well. The price was not bad considering the amount of food you get. Too bad you can't get two servings and then you could take some home. But people would abuse it. So overall the food and experience was amazing.
Our first family style served restaurant. Fried Chicken, Broccoli Casserole, Pot Roast, Creamed Potatoes, Mac & Cheese, Poppy Seed Salad we’re what we chose. Oh and p.s….biscuits are amazing! Don’t get me started on dessert! We tried 4 different ones and loved them all! Our server was sweet and attentive. View is gorgeous and store had some fun finds! Don’t forget a selfie with Paula 😉 Will be back!
So much great food! Love the family style and how yummy it all was. With 9 of us, this was the perfect choice for dinner.
Remember that you can't take home leftovers. But you can take home dessert.
Absolutely what you'd expect for quality! Every dish was delicious and flavorful, served family style.
We chose the 3 mains and 4 sides. We ordered pot roast, pork chops, and shrimp n grits as the mains; green beans, creamed potatoes, creamed corn, and mac n cheese as the sides. Not a single bite disappointed! We were all stuffed when we left. Dessert is included, and you can pick your own option from seasonal cobbler (I had the peach cobbler), banana pudding, or butter cake which comes in chocolate and vanilla (traditional). I tried a bite of the chocolate, and it is sinfully good.
NOT a diet restaurant, but you'll love every bite.
Nice Paula Deen store in Broadway at the Beach. They have a restaurant in the 2nd floor. They have a lot of merchandise for cooking and baking for sale.
The food is delicious and served family style. Recommended.
AYYYYYYYEEEEEE YOOOOO!!!!! GO. GO RIGHT NOW.🤣Amazing views & atmosphere. Service was impeccable!! Love that the restaurant is at the top, while shopping is below.👩🏾🦽 friendly (There is an elevator)But let's get to this food....When I say that muthableeping fried chicken was soooo crispy & perfectly seasoned!!! The Mac & cheese was creamy, the greens were slightly spicy & the biscuits were light, fluffy & OHHHH so good!! Now the creamed corn (to me)...Nope. Our meal came with dessert & I chose Chocolate butter cake (which I had never even heard of😂) & that was a perfect cap to this meal. The food was SOOOO good I didn't even get pics,ya'll🤣I was too busy eating!!GOOO.GOOOO RIGHT NOW.
The food was ok. Strange that the chicken and dumplings had no dumplings in it and very little chicken. It was more like a gravy. Fried chicken was nothing special. The porkchops were good. The shrimp and grits were IK. The yams were great. Their biscuits were also great. Pour the chicken and dumpling gravy on them. Nice view out the window.
One of the best family style restaurants I have been to! We were visiting Myrtle Beach on vacation and came across this restaurant while walking on Broadway. Our waitress Kelsey was so sweet and attentive. It is a pricier option, but definitely worth the price. If you are eating, then they will keep bringing more. We did the Georgia option that came with 4 entrees and 4 sides. Dessert is also included for each person. The catfish and sweet potatoes would be my top two picks and I would recommend the banana pudding for dessert with the chocolate butter cake in very close second choice.
Family style meals delicious. On a Girl's Trip 2023 and food was seasoned just right. Atmosphere was great. Our waitress was awesome. Must visit when you can.
