Really wonderful Chinese American Fast food. Their direct competitor is Panda and I find this much better. I got the combo plate with sweet and sour pork, orange chicken, veggie chow mein, and fried rice. That plus a medium fountain soda brought the total to $17.18
I would personally suggest going full chow mein. The "fried" rice isn't bad but it seems to be more of a flavored sticky rice as far as texture goes. The chow mein is a delicious thick noodle type.
The orange chicken is very delicious. It's thinly battered and thinly sauced,so you get wonderful large pieces of chicken with a nice slightly subtle orange flavor while still having a bit of crispness from being fried
The sweet and sour pork stood out less to me, I just was trying to avoid two chicken entrees. Next time I'm here Im going to try the teriyaki chicken as I got here 30 min after opening and it was already an empty pan, so it seems to be very popular
Way better than Panda Express at Panda Express the noodles are thin and weirdly crispy for some reason but this place the noodles are smooth long and thick perfect plus one of the ladies there gives us extra chicken so there's a plus
They really know how to pack the food into the container. Nice fast service always fresh food being brought out.
This is my go to spot for Chinese food .
Being single & a lazy cook, I rely much on reasonably priced, pre-made, takeout food. One of my weekly go-to takeout places is Hop Hing's Kitchen for Chinese food. My normal order is teriyaki chicken (medium), chow mein (large), & plain white rice (medium). The total cost for my order is under $25 & is enough for 2-3 meals. HHK is not just for takeout. If you desire, there are tables/chairs available if you want to eat your food there. If I go to a typical Napa Chinese restaurant, a similar HHK type order would cost me approx $35+ (with tip), $10, or about 40% more. HHK's food can easily hold up to these FULL SERVICE, Chinese restaurants, despite its smaller size menu selection. HHK satisfies MY OWN personal needs. HHK is a place to consider if you want fast, cafeteria style, simple/limited menu Chinese food at a reasonable price.
Ya know what Napa is missing? Good American Chinese food with no frills. Well guess what this place is: exactly that. This is NOT a place you’d want to dine in, nor does this place even look very nice in general, also this food is not that healthy, but not necessarily unhealthy.
This is your local version of Panda Express, but better! For one, this place has some solid flavor, definitely more tasty than what you’d find at panda. Second, this is locally run so it’s nice to support the little guy, just beware this comes with little guy prices (about $1 or more compared to panda). Lastly, very generous serving sizes; much larger portions compared to panda.
Is this food gonna win awards? Absolutely not. Does it scratch that American Chinese food itch? 110%. Is it healthy? It American Chinese food. Would I recommend this place?
If you like Panda Express, this exactly that but better. The place itself isn’t very appealing, so I recommend grabbing it to-go and eating outside (they have outdoor tables). I’ll definitely be coming back.
My only desire is that they could be open on weekends. The food is just as good (or better) than any sit-down chinese place in napa. What they lack in options they make up for in lightning-fast service and good prices. The ladies working there are super nice and will pile up your box full of food.
It's surprising how much food they can fit into such a small container! It isn't fancy but that doesn't mean it's lacking. All of the food is handmade in the kitchen behind the counter. Relatively good price but wouldn't recommend as a daily thing. Also, your farts will smell like pot stickers for awhile :)
Been coming here for years and they have stayed consistent with quality and service. Wonderful people making great food. Beats the snot out of Panda.
This place is incredible. The food is super good, and the prices are extremely fair. If I didn't have Hop Hing's Kitchen, I'd probably throw myself off a bridge. 5 stars.
Great food at a good price - I come here frequently for lunch, and an occasional dinner. Unlike many other places that have food ready to go, the food is fresh and tasty - not oily or pasty (inadvertent rhyme!).
You can grab a meal to go or eat in, and they also have an expanded menu you can order from if what you see ready doesn't tickle your fancy.
been going to this place for a long time and I am in LOVE with the chow mein. It’s so delicately delicious and one of my favorite meals from here. I always look forward to coming here.
Great place for fast Chinese food. Much better than any grocery store kiosk-type place. It's even better than a few of the traditional Chinese restaurants in town!
We love this place. Definitely as good as any Chinese place in Napa and beyond.
Thank you so much for the great lunch today ladies. My chow mein, sweet and sour pork, orange chicken and egg rolls were all great.
Wish they didn't have so many chicken dishes.
The dishes they have tasts good.
Quality food and healthier than the famous franchise restaurants.
