Great music and really good food! I’m a vegan and really enjoyed my veggie burger!

Had the BEST time! Left and went to pay for more parking so we could continue to hang out. Staff super friendly! Total honky tonk dive bar that is super fun!
Very nice atmosphere. The crowd was pumped and the music was engaging but not over done. The restroom attendant was super nice and pleasant. The only complaint I would say is that it is not fair that a great performer on stage shouldn’t have to grovel with a bucket in between sets just to make a living. Very awkward and demeaning.
We had so much fun all the way from Louisiana ... great place !
Such a fun place to come to we will definitely be coming back
How can you not stop by this historic spot while visiting Nashville? We did have to stand in line, but it wasn’t for too terribly long and it was definitely worth it. Personally my favorite part was looking around and seeing all the legends on their walls and knowing I was walking where they walked. All that aside, still great entertainment, drinks, and atmosphere!
I had a fantastic time at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge on Broadway in Nashville. With its three floors, including a rooftop option, each featuring its own live music act, the energy was infectious. It's truly a must-visit when you're in Nashville. This historic bar, with almost 60 years of history, offers a fun and lively atmosphere, perfect for enjoying great music and unwinding. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
Excellent multi-level restaurant and bar. The top level has a nice rooftop service area where you can enjoy a nice breeze in the city on those hot days. The food was really well priced for that particular area and the portions were large as well. Alcohol on the other hand was a bit overpriced and I wouldn't have ordered any but they happened to have an IPA I'd never tried. Overall a cool spot. Did not like the band coming around and asking for donations though. That's unbelievably tacky. Have tip jars or some type of area where people can tip if they want. I was there for the rooftop and view of the city, not the band.
Tootsies is one of the most historic bars you can go to in all of Nashville. If you are going to Broadway, you must come here. The iconic purple building sticks out (in a good way) when you are walking up to it. Of course, it is nice to go to some of the newer bars, but Tootsies just has a classic feel that can’t be bought. You feel like you are right on top of the music whatever level you are on. It is a great feeling. I will definitely come back soon so I can experience it again. It is a lot of fun!
We didn’t eat here, but just had drinks and listened to the music. This place is a Nashville staple. Many floors with different bands playing.
If you go to one honky tonk on Broadway, make it Tootsie's, simply because it's so historic--many stars came over here from the Ryman after their shows. There are 3 levels, each with a different live band. Someone on the 1st floor explained this to us, encouraged us to explore all 3 levels (and bands), gave us menus, and advised us to order at a bar. The tables are mostly large--you'll be sharing with someone else. Food and service were fine, though our food was slow to arrive and was nothing special. We were surprised that the band on our level really wasn't that good. We keep hearing about how hard it is to make it in Nashville, and we couldn't figure out how this band got a spot at Tootsie's. But still a really fun experience overall.
This was our first stop on Nashville broadway and it was the best. Loved the entertainment on all 3 levels. We stayed on 2nd sat at bar listened to mostly rock and enjoyed it. Then went up to the 3rd floor and it was country and we loved it.
The original World Famous Tootsies. The purple palace. Opened in 1960 and still lives today! The anchor of Broadway. Come during the day. See the history on the walls. Stay till the night. Hear great music all day long. 10am till 2:30am. Eat the Phillly cheese steak or the nachos loaded. Full of energy and hospitality. Come in the historic back door from the alley the way all the old country music stars came in. There’s a neon sign over the back door and usually no waiting. Come in the front door and walk all 3 floors to see the original front and back room where Tootsie Bess served the likes of Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and many more. Take in the historic building. Leave a piece of yourself here. Sign our walls. There’s also a huge 3rd floor “rooftop” with an open air patio. When the weather is great the view is too.
4/19/2023: Iconic bar with great nostalgia everywhere! This was one of my favorite spots on Broadway. The first level is very thin and hard to find a seat, but it’s a lot of fun! They have multiple levels with multiple live bands, like most of the Broadway bars, so there’s always a spot somewhere. You just have to walk around a little to find a place. I love the bright purple and the iconic photos. The service is good. Don’t miss this place on your outing.
I had a great time and the food was really good. The chicken quesadillas were delicious as were the Boom Boom shrimp, which had just the right kick. I don't like spicy food, but I handled these easily, and they were reasonably priced at $14 each with generous helpings. Delish. The bartenders were surprisingly friendly and attentive considering how busy the place gets. I've been to other places where sometimes the female bartenders aren't generally as friendly to women, but the two girls working the second floor bar on Fri were super. The band was awesome and engaging, and the patrons were friendly.
Must stop for bar crawl. Stopped and listened to the three bands playing one on each floor. Had a few beers, too. Good vibes and great atmosphere.
Bands on every level. Roof top had great views at night and the bartender up top was quick and friendly. We stopped in on a Thursday evening and had a great time. All the bands sounded good and had good vibes. Not too crowded.
Don't leave Nashville without visiting Tootsies. I went off peak hours on a Thursday, and the line was short. A fabulous ambiance as you step in will welcome you. Fast counter service and friendly bartenders do a great job. Don't feel bad for overpriced beer! In other not so marvelous bars, you probably paid a cover-charge. But, here is where you will enjoy authentic honky-tonk. Feel lucky when you find a table or stand near one of the bands playing simultaneously in this orchid jewel. Bring your ID for admission.
This place was really cool. It is small but exactly what you would expect from a bar in Nashville. We went during CMAfest. Had a blast bought the tee shirt too! Band was really good! I don’t think there is a time where you could go in there and not have a good time. Ordering drinks was quick even though they were packed. Restrooms were right there and weren’t in bad shape at all. From what I’m told Tooties is one of the oldest bars in Nashville. A must visit when your in town. We will be back for sure. The upstairs balcony was very nice and wasn’t crowded at all like some of the others. You can smoke on the balcony as well.
Really cool bar on the strip that’s full of history. Was a great place to stop in quickly to get a beer and enjoy some live music. The walls are adorned with photographs and memorabilia, and the entire place has a real rustic, authentic vibe. The performers were great.
The only reason it got 4 instead of 5 was the drink pricing. I get it’s a tourist trap, on the main strip, but $10 for a bottle of beer is ludicrous 😂 would’ve been nicer to stay and enjoy a few without breaking the bank.
Had such a good time listening to live music there. Ground floor was fun and friendly but a little loud and crowded for us. 2nd floor was less crowded in long rectangular room with bar and band playing at back. Also good. Mix of covers with occasional original song. Third floor was best in our view. Great band, super friendly musicians mixing with crowd between songs while friends played other songs. Good mix of covers and originals. Felt authentic and the musicians were so committed and passionate about the music that it felt special to be there, almost like a private party. Third floor extends to open roof for some fresh air and quieter environment for conversation. Bar staff was attentive and friendly and drinks were good. It was lots of fun.
Great music, cold drinks, good service. Spent most of our time in the top floor.
Best spot in Nashville on Broadway!
Band was the best we heard, drinks were outstanding, service was on point, and the atmosphere screamed Nashville!
