I discovered this place last spring when I went to watch an Arsenal match. Great place! The beer and other drinks are great, the food is good, and the staff are good, and add a lot of character to the place. My favorite watering hole.
This place has been on my list of place to try since starting my job downtown. Was extremely impressed and really enjoyed the food, especially the lunch menu! Will be on one of my regular haunts and will recommend/take friends and family!
Who would've thought you could find an authentic English pub right on Printers Alley in Nashville TN?!! You can spot the pub by a familiar red, white and blue sign most recognizable for the London Underground. Follow the steps down one flight and you will enter a cozy, friendly pub full of English memorabilia including soccer leagues scarves everywhere. With wonderful pub food, including fantastic fish (pollock) and chips, and great affordable drinks, you cannot go wrong! Especially if you having a longing to experience a friendly English pub!!
We go here a lot after getting off work at TPAC. Great place! Awesome food! Low key bar, not especially noisy. Great wait staff (when there are enough of them), especially Hunter. He is the best!
I was in Nashville for the night and found this bar ! Had a great time n the food was absolutely amazing ! The wings n deviled eggs for apps was fillin by it self but I got the fish n chips n it was the best fish I've ever had !! Plus the mushy peas was great ! Hats off to chef Elvis Hillard !!
Loved everything about that place
The atmosphere , the crowd the place !!!
What a great place.. This was our home base in Nashville.. We made all our plans sitting at the bar.. The staff is great and so hospitible. So lucky to find this place on the first day here and have been back multiple times in our 5 day stay.. Outstanding Food and drinks!!!!!
I forgot the waitress name but she was really great and on point. The beer was great , the food was really good and the prices were amazing compared to what I'm used to in LA. Would totally go back next time in Nadhville!
Great food and a legit pub experience. Fun environment and friendly staff. Immerse yourself and order at the bar like you would in the UK!
I love the atmosphere and the wonderful fish and chips! I recently visited England, and this place brought back the wonderful memories and taste of England!
Awesome location that you enter through the alley way and go down into the pub from street level. Had an awesome burger and potatoes. Great selection of craft beer as well. Friendly staff and fair prices.
If you like the UK, this is a nice place to get fish and chips plus other British inspired food.
P.s: the place needs to differentiate between Shepherd's and Cottage pies!
We stumbled upon this place while in the Printers Alley music neighborhood in Nashville, TN Sun Sep 24 2023. We were exploring different music venues nearby when we spotted this place. A British style pub in Nashville? Surprised us for sure.
It was authentic in atmosphere, food, drink, & recorded music. Also has satellite feed for UK & Euro league soccer which draws early morning crowds at 9:00am b/c of the 6 hour time difference .
The friendly bartender Chelsey K was quite helpful and gracefully answered the usual tourist questions. A great selection of UK draft beers ($7) served in an Imperial measure glass (20 oz US). Very good Picadilly fish (cod) & chips w/ malt vinegar ($15) and my bride had the beef sliders special ($12). Many good menu choices including Arsenal breakfast: Classic full English breakfast with two eggs, bacon, banger, baked beans, charred tomato, toast, and orange marmalade - all day ($14).
Fun place for a pint, meal, & a football (soccer) match.
Thank you to the Chelsey & the staff.

Great food beer was amazing good atmosphere and affordable food highly recommend
Stopped in for a quick drink before heading to Broadway, ended up having a delicious Bread Pudding. Split between the 2 of us was just right. The atmosphere was English Pub and played great music. Staff was friendly and attentive. Will be another must stop when we visit again.
After meandering up and down Broadway, we decided we needed a bite to eat. Hit up Printers Alley to check things out and found Fleet Street. We were intrigued, so we stopped in. It is a very dark and dungeoning feeling inside but we were kinda digging the vibe and the laid-back kind of atmosphere. I started with the Vesper martini, really yummy. Ordered the chips that came with a French onion dip. Very good. It looked like the chips might have been overcooked, but they were not. Bonus: They weren't greasy either! For dinner, we chose to split the lamb sliders. They came with scalloped potato slices and a salad. Everything was really good, except it could have used more sauce! So why the four stars and not 5!? After waiting a long time for sliders, we had to inquire; it turns out our plate was served to another table. We ended up having to wait about 20 minutes more for them. Not great communication; however, we will be back next time in Nashville. It was an awesome reprieve from the crazy crowds of Broadway and set us up nicely for the rest of the evening:)
Cool little pub underground in Printers Alley with a British Flair.
Went here for a beer before dinner with my cousin and I loved it.
Cool atmosphere, speckled hen on tap and great music on the sound system.
Good, attentive service and fun decor.
Here’s the breakdown:
Old Speckled Hen on tap, cool vibe and a place to hang with family before dinner +5 stars.
They’ve got food here but we had reservations elsewhere. I’d come back to try food too!
This was an awesome spot to stop in getting away from the Broadway St crowd. The bartenders, David and Liz were friendly and really great. Especially for how busy they were. Masters of their craft. Both in knowledge for suggestions and stellar service. They worked like a well oiled machine together. Great experience. We'll visit again our next time in the area
Fleet Street pub is a really neat place to go if you’re close or in downtown Nashville. It has a true UK vibe that you will not find it most places. Solid fish and chips and Brussel sprouts. That will knock your socks off.
I've eaten here many times in the past. It appears that it's under new management. The decor is a bit different as it was mostly of European bands and music. Now it's of American bands and music. There is much less to choose from on the beer menu. They used to have a huge and very good selection of craft beers. Now it's pretty much that same stuff everyone else has. My son had their Stout and it was more like a watered-down Guinness. Oh well, the food is still good.
