My mother visited me for the weekend and we tried to get into several other steak houses, but no luck. We accidentally walked into Deacons as it was not packed- and the service was phenomenal- not only did they accommodate me in the comfiest chair to help my recent back injury but our waiter was so amazing, told us some history of the building and the food - O M G BECKY! The steak selection was amazing and by far the steak I’ve ever had in my life! As a tourist in Nashville- it was overwhelming to try an get into steak houses that are completely packed- Deacons will be your saving grace to skip the line as they are a hidden gem- and you will not regret it!!!

The quality & flavor of the food was excellent. The service we received was top notch. I’m impressed by the attention to detail from food prep, to the etching on the steak knives and wine carafes. It’s a beautiful restaurant.

We drove into downtown Nashville from downtown Franklin to Deacon’s New South restaurant to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary. The beautiful restaurant has an upscale casual feel and staffed by professionals. The steakhouse with a “New South” menu was exceptional. It was the perfect place to celebrate! I highly recommend it!

Jen the manager is amazing. She goes above and beyond to make sure everyone has the best dining experience every time. The entire staff is amazing and very observant of the needs of the guests. Deacons South is the only restaurants in the southeast that ages their own beef. Try it and take the tour!! They will not disappoint! The bar staff is experienced in all of our favs and has amazing signature cocktails.

Phenomenal! Loved Deacons New South. We had the duck breast, which is braised in bourbon and red wine along with the risotto. Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. Can't wait to go back and enjoy the tomahawk steak! Service and atmosphere were extraordinary as well.

Reservations were full but the bartender on the upper level made room for us. The kitchen was a bit behind with our meals but they made up for it with some extra drinks. Our bartender was awesome, it was a relaxing atmosphere and the burgers are the best ever!

We made a reservation for brunch at 10a. We were seated immediately. The server (Alyson) was fantastic! A beautiful place on a Sunday morning in downtown... perfect! I ordered the fried pork shoulder. Holy smokes! Be prepared for a nap afterwards. It was soooo good! We will be back for dinner soon! Thanks for the hospitality!

Started with valet parking for only $5. Skillet biscuits were great. Best steak and scallops we have found in Nashville. Well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Scallops did not taste fishy. The cauliflower puree was excellent with a good blend of salt and sweet with the green olives. Too stuffed for dessert, but will be back.

An outstanding meal with service that was second to none. It wasn’t a meal, it was a exquisitely decadent experience. Thank you to the Wonderful Kitchen & Staff at this wonderous gem.

We were in town over the weekend with some friends. We tried for dinner on Friday night as it was across from our hotel. My husband and I split the short ribs and our friends split the duck, both were delicious. We all liked it so much that we had dinner here again on our last night. Again we had the duck, the meatloaf and the filet mignon. All were better than our expectations. Our waiter Devin was the icing on the cake of the evening. He was so pleasant and had us laughing the entire night. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the restaurant and even gave us a tour of the place. We will definitely be back!

Would have given 5/5 except it was too warm in the place, at least where we were seated about 100 feet from the front reception area, and lemonade wasn't freshly made. Dry aged bone in Kansas city strip was 20 Oz huge portion and cooked as I requested, medium. Good dry aged flavor. 36oz whiskey aged ribeye was a bit undercooked for our medium request, but still was good. Not an overwhelming whiskey flavor which wound up good, but was a bit pricey at $180, listed as mkt price on menu. Cheddar biscuits were great, apple butter tasty. Side order of carrots was good as well. Adult drinks were tasty, although lemonade didn't taste freshly made, maybe powder? Dessert ice cream was good, but relatively small 3 scoops. Our server was attentive and great overall!

I loooovvveeeed our waitress!!!! I think her name was Ally! With the Staten Island and home town accent! She knows who she is!!!!! Beautiful spirit and a true passion for customer service ! It has been a couple of weeks since my party of 8 visited. But it was delightful! The waitress was THE BEST ! She provided suggestions with everything! She was courteous, professional, attentive , intentional, and even went as far as to provide a history lesson on the building the restaurant was in! The food was phenomenal ! I had a NY Strip steak and it was seasoned to perfection! The sides were delicious…. Greens, carrots, mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and Mac n cheese! Now, the hot lemon and ginger tea to cap my meal was glorious… absolute sin! The entire evening, from the scenery to the over all ambiance could not have been any better! Deacon’s Thank you!

We were only in Nashville for one night and happened to look for a nearby restaurant from our hotel when we walked by Deacon’s and saw that it was packed so we went inside for a table and it was the best decision of the night. While we awaited our table, we were given a tour and education of their dry aged meats fridge by our server and that’s when the fun began. The entire experience was amazing and not a single dish disappointed. We shared 4 types of steaks, bone marrow as an app and a few sides along with drinks of course and it left a good enough imprint that we will def return again when back in town. Thanks!

Made reservations and had an early dinner. Food was amazing! Everything we ordered was wonderful! Fried green tomatoes were delicious! For the main course we chose noodles and crawfish and added scallops - scrumptious! We learned that the pasta is homemade by “Aaron” (great job!!). Our waiter was welcoming, very friendly and gave us ideas about things to do in the city. He was pretty awesome!

A very good experience! Food was very good, and being a steak house, the steak was excellent. Be prepared to spend some money though, as this restaurant is pricey. Four stars instead of five as we felt the side dishes could have been a better portion for the amount they charged. Great food and service overall, we would recommend!

Visiting from out of town and wanted a great place to eat! After reading the reviews here decided this is the spot we wanted to try. We had a late reservation and literally had our suitcases in hand because we didn’t have time to go check our bags, but the hostess let us leave our bags in the front. She was a little hesitant, but kind enough to let us do so. For our appetizer we had the cornbread, but they overcooked it and it tasted burned. We didn’t want to send it back since we had a 9:00 reservation. I do hate that because the waiter recommended it and we were looking forward to trying it. Next, we tried the Charcuterie board with our wine and it was just okay. Nothing too impressive, but was descent. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad though and it was very tasty! The steak was good, and for a side we ordered the cauliflower and Yukon potatoes. The cauliflower needed a flavor of seasoning or something because it was very bland. Overall, the service and the atmosphere was nice. I just think it was just an off night for the food. Would I try it again? Probably .

We ate here last October (2022) and I am still thinking about how amazing this place is. We got a 9oz aged filet to share in addition to our meals, and I can say without a doubt that it is the best steak I've ever had EVER. We also had roast chicken, the pork chop, brussel sprouts, potatoes aligot, blackened gulf fish AND cake bc it was my son's birthday. If we are in Nashville, we will certainly be back.

2 for dinner Good atmosphere...attentive service 6oz filet was perfectly prepared and served with fresh horseradish. 5 of 5 Fingerling potatoes dusted with parmeson cheese 🧀 were on the dry side....3 of 5 Eggplant dish with risotto was 6 of 5. Yes. 6 of 5- clear winner for tastiest entree over the delicious steak. Side of carrots were cooked with an Asian pepper sauce producing a heat that hits your soul. 6 of 5... @#$% potatoes. Why did I order potatoes?

The food is spectacular. This was my first time having the roasted broccolini, and it was to die for. We also had the Tomahawk Steak with scallops added o top,it did take quite some time for them to cook it, and the waiter compensated our wait with a complimentary salad for the table. This steak is humongous, and it was delicious. For the amount of food that we had, it was definitely worth the price.

While vacationing in Nashville we decided to try this place based on our uber drivers recommendation. Our server was friendly and recommended what we ordered. We ordered the muscles, the fish, the porterhouse and a side of Brussel sprouts. The muscles were very different than I am used to with sausage but they were surprisingly very good except there were a few that had a very "ocean-y" taste that both my husband and I got a little concerned about. Our main course came out and my fish was tasty for the first few bites but then I realized when I was 3 bites in that just the outside was seared and the rest of the fish was completely raw. We brought it to our servers attention and she said she would have another made immediately. She ended up coming back very quickly with a new one because she said there was another one up for a table so she just grabbed that one for me. The steak was pretty good flavor wise but was a bit undercooked. The steak did have an aged taste which I haven't had before even with previously aged steaks. The Brussel sprouts were the best part of the meal. They were very good. I don't think that I would return here if we came to visit Nashville again.

Second time in Nashville and always looking for new restaurants to visit. We came across with Deacon’s and it was a great choice. Everything delicious! Specifically the duck drumettes and the catch of the day which was a Halibut 👌🏾

We went here for our anniversary dinner and everything was great. All the food we tried was absolutely delicious and our steaks were cooked perfectly and delicious. Highly recommend trying the roasted bone marrow as a starter and the succotash was my favorite side that we shared.
