Apparently Sunday afternoon when they're doing construction nearby is a pretty quiet time at Urban Cookhouse. I was the only customer there! Staff was super welcoming and friendly, though. I had the Urban Cowboy, which was perfect! The mac and cheese was just OK, but I'm not. Mac and cheese fan and should have known better. More people arrived by the time I left, which felt less awkward. Overall, great food, decent atmosphere. I'll swing by again next time I'm in town.
Stopped by for a late Sunday lunch. I was a little worried as there was only 1 other party there, but it was an odd time. Walked in and was immediately and warmly greeted. She explained their menu and made some recommendations. I liked the salad and sandwich options as they had the same ingredients, just in another form.
Ordered the Local Mix salad and the Berry Good wrap. Salad came out after about 5 minutes, but the wrap took about 20 minutes. It wasn't crowded, so I think they forgot, but it was an honest mistake as overall service was great. To make up for the wait, the server brought out a little brownie which was a good gesture for the wait. Both the wrap and salad were really good. They were put together well and full of fresh & local ingredients. Great way to support the local farmers.

Came from Ontario, Canada to Nashville and was looking for some healthy alternatives. This place had such great options and the portions were great! 10/10 recommend!
This was my first time visiting in Nashville, the hotel I was a guest in was not providing room service and the restaurant was closed. I asked around for suggestions, but decided to order in. I was intrigued by the great reviews. Let me tell you…exceeded my expectations! Everything was fresh, presentation was pristine, and everything tasted wonderful! I was really starving so didn’t get any photos😂 but I had the shrimp kabobs, side of pasta salad, small pepper patch and berry salad👌🏾 Generous portions…I couldn’t even eat half of it😂 Worth every penny! Oh yeah and your delivery guy forgot the water🤷🏾♀️ but the food far outweighed the missing water😉
100% Delicious! Been here a few times now and never fails to be amazing. Good menu with super fresh ingredients, the staff is always friendly and great serving size for the price. You can't go wrong with the Berry Salad or the Turkey Crunch Sandwich. They even have a Grilled Peanut Butter Fluff Sandwich (Fluffernutter).
Decided to give Urban Cookhouse a try on our way to the beach. Hubby had crunchy roast chicken with apple slaw, roasted vegetables on the side. I had the BLT and tomato basil soup. Everything was so delicious, homemade, a special treat. great menu variety. I'm so glad we stopped here. Friendly place, great staff. Hubby could not wait for me to take the picture. We got there late, amazingly clean, floors, tables, and restrooms even after a whole day!
Quick order breakfast. Food was delicious. I had the avacado toast sandwich and my husband had breakfast BBQ tacos. Both were delicious. Staff is great and Larry sat and talked with us. Would go again!
Good vegan options, I really liked the tomato soup and wrap! Came here for a lunch and we all left satisfied, great variety of food.
The berry wrap was delicious! I may try it as a salad next time, but it was definitely fulfilling. The meal also comes with a side so you will be full for sure for the price. The service wasn’t too good, but I’ll assume he was having an off day. Otherwise, I thought this was a great lunch spot.
For lunch, it was quiet. Music was good in the background. Food was just enough for you to go back to work or play and not fall asleep. Overall, nice spot. They do have alcoholic beverages available if you should need.
Customer service and food are both top notch! Door dash was delayed for my order, the owner text me that she was bringing me the order herself. Amazing service and the food is great quality and a great selection.
Stopped in for dinner with my family. We had never been here so we weren’t sure what to expect! The sandwiches were amazing! Definitely glad we stopped in!
Fresh and tasty! There’s no picture of the Buffalo chicken wraps but they were also fantastic! Would recommend if you’re in the area.
Steak and egg burrito was very tasty. Make sure to get some orange rolls too, and have them heat them up for an added bonus. Would recommend this place for some healthier, unfried food.
Big fan of their Berry Good salad. Absolutely love their house made citrus vinaigrette dressing that comes with it, adds a burst of flavor to an already awesome salad. Also comes with a warm orange roll which is okay-ish. If you’re watching your carbs, be sure to customize this as I’ve read somewhere this salad is around 600 calories.
A diamond in the rough, this barely year-old establishment has skipped the crawling stage and is off and running! Good locally sourced eats are the foundation of the menu with plenty of personal flare.
The grilled chicken was the tendered and juiciest I've ever come across. I thought I'd disappointed by the toasted white bread it was served on, but was surprised by the balance of flavor. The house made BBQ sauce was a tad thin for me but still so flavorful and complimented the sandwich well.
The owner/manager was conducting business with her staff when I walked in, yet still made time to add a personal touch to the service.
Food here is usually quick and really good and they’re never too crowded. Sometimes service can be a bit slow but it’s a solid option in midtown with free parking
It was so cold out (below freezing) and we were so hungry-looked up a high rated place....that’s how we found Urban. Wow!! The tomato soup-perfect. The two sandwiches (Balt and I had a chicken sandwich) were excellent. I would absolutely return if I lived in town!!
