It was my first time at Bria Bistro and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is small and cozy with the kitchen in a corner where you can watch the flames jump. The staff is friendly and genuine. The server offered a menu explanation with just enough humor and true appreciation of the food. The food came out quickly and we were lost in the taste. I mean, I knew it was going to be amazing because the moment I walked in the place the smells had me drooling. I ordered the Picatta and it was divine. The tang of the capers against the flavor of the tomatoes was perfect wrapped around pasta and artichoke hearts. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan and the sauce was everything a marinara should be. We also enjoyed the bruschetta which, wait for it, was served with herbed goat cheese! This may have been my first time here, but it certainly won't be my last. Well done, Bria!
Enjoyed an evening with the family here. We were there shortly after the doors opened and got seated immediately. The server was friendly and pretty attentive. They had music playing somewhat loudly over in the bar and cook area. It wasn’t to loud at least not for us because we were at the other end of the room but it brought out a nice vibe and for me made it more enjoyable. At one point I think the chef started singing along, he must have been having a good time over there. Lol
So we had an assortment of food. We started with the calamari. It was good but it is not the kind of calamari I prefer. This is a heavier breaded and more like French fry shaped. I personally prefer the lightly breaded with lots of tentacles style but hey, they didn’t build this restaurant for me! Lol. Either way, it was good to eat and we ate it all. 2 of my kids got the White Clam pasta and the third got the Alfredo with chicken. My wife got the Chicken Parmesan and I ordered the pork chop with polenta fries. Oh and my wife got the wedding soup and it was super tasty!
The pastas were all good. Nothing that wasn’t tasty. I like a little more flavor and thickness to my pastas and these were mild flavor and the sauces were somewhat thin. My wife’s Chicken Parmesan was really good. The chicken was fantastic and the sauce was good. Just a bit more mild flavored and thinner than I like.
Now for the pork chop. Holy cow this was the crown jewel!! This was one of the best pork chops I’ve ever had and I’ve never had one quite like this. It was a bone in pork chop smothered in a thick white sauce that was just bursting with flavor! I’ve never had polenta fries but I almost had to lick the plate! It was amazing and I will be going back to have this again.
Lastly I would say we enjoyed our time there and the food was good but this was a very expensive meal, especially for pasta dishes and a pork chop. It was $215 for 5 people plus tip and that’s an expensive night. My pork chop was worth every penny but The other dishes are in my opinion over priced. Not what I expected going in there. Now given our current situation with COVID, I get it if restaurants are raising prices to make ends meet. They have to in order to survive I would imagine.
Overall the place is a 4.4 star to me. I will go back for that pork chop and maybe try some other things as well.
Food was good but not as good as in the past. We loved the chocolate chip cherry gelato and my husband loved the lasagna. My gnocchi was just okay. It needed more sauce and none of the crunchy things they placed on top.
This place had a rough time through the pandemic, but has bounced back. The food is really good here. The lasagna was the only thing that wasn't crazy good...and it was good. Just not crazy good. A little pricey but really no more than the usual Italian restaurant. I'll be back!
A couple of us had a bunch of small plates. Each one absolutely delicious! Casa Salad, Oysters (raw & baked!) Clam Chowder, Margarita Flatbread & Meatball Appetizer. We sat at the bar & had a great time, with great service. I love to watch them in the kitchen through the glass!
We were 5 and the first table seated after they opened. Service was good and no service glitches. I enjoyed my spaghetti with meatballs. Table also enjoyed the bottle of Justin cabernet. Ample parking.
Went around 6:30pm and had a reservation (for 5 adults), but didn’t need one. The food was mind blowing. I’ve rarely had better authentic Italian food. The wine was good and the service was excellent. If you’re looking for bigger than standard restaurant portions, amazing food, great service and adorable decor then you should come here.
This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The service was quick. The food was a roller coaster of flavor. You can tell the work that is put into the food. I recommend this place highly and it is our new favorite spot.
We stumbled across this Italian restaurant one night and ended up having the best meal! We started with the mozzarella sticks which the mozzarella is homemade at the restaurant and they are absolutely delicious. For entrees we got the Alfredo and Chicken Parmesan which the portions are twice what you would expect and were some of the best we have had ever. Lastly we finished with the creme brûlée which has homemade jam with it and again it was one of the best we have ever had. The staff was incredible and the food was delicious. We will for sure be back! It has got to be hands down one of the best Italian restaurants in all of the Nashville area!
Taylor at the bar took excellent care of me. The chef is AMAZING, stuffed portabella mushroom is a light meal in itself. Wonderful experience and worth the extra 5 minutes to get off the beaten path.
Great local Italian! Our server was super helpful and enthusiastic about the offerings. Everything was so good we all had to share bites. We will definitely be back.
My girlfriend hadn't been to Bria in 8 years and she picked where to have dinner. We were greeted by the cherry and charming Anthony. They were short-staffed and he suggested we sit at the bar as they were about an hour and a half from closing. It was us and another couple already eating at the bar.
From the moment we sat down everything was superb. The warm bread and olive oil was delightful and since we both knew we wanted spaghetti & meatballs - it was ready in a flash. The sauce and meatballs were exquisite and the pasta was amazing.
Anthony tended to our every need and regaled us with stories as we ate. He gave my gf some free Häagen-Dazs® and refilled my cokes whenever it got to half a glass.
Anthony informed us he recently returned to work here after some time away. It was a truly great experience in every way and we'll definitely be back. Anthony and his kitchen mates should be commended. 5 stars.
Great food in a laidback setting. Can’t wait to come back when I’m hungry and have more time. The bread is fantastic and the best beet and goat cheese salad I’ve had anywhere!
Great food great service, be patient with wait staff
