Really delicious focaccia bread! The winter salad and chicken schnitzel were prepared perfectly. We also tried the pasta which was more a mushroom dish than pasta but flavors were still good. Wait staff were not very attentive but the overall experience was good.

Hathorne is an amazing fine dining restaurant in West Nashville. The entire staff provides excellent service. Every item on the menu is prepared with perfection. The goat cheese collaborates with a symphony of fennel and radish relish, herbs and fermented honey. As a southern girl who loves okra, it was a must to go in on the tempura okra. The okra was perfectly coated with flavor, texture and crunch. The American Waygu Steak was tender, juicy and bursting with flavor. I could go on, but I do not want you wasting time reading my review when you should be headed over to Hawthorne. John, Josh, Hayley, Chastity and the crew are waiting to welcome you.

We started with the tempura okra and the house made focaccia both were delectable. My wife had the chicken schnitzel and I had the snapper both were incredible and surprisingly large portions. Our waiters was very knowledgeable and attentive. We don’t drink but the selection seemed to be very adequate and the mocktail list was pretty tempting as well. Over all we had a great experience and we’ll be back.

Came here on a Tuesday wanting to try out the popular burger night. We sat and the bar and loved the ambiance of the place. Our bartender Chassidy was super friendly throughout our meal! We got the tempura okra and summer salad to start! Both were super flavorful and delicious! One of the best salads I’ve ever had. Frites were really good as well but a bit too salty for our liking. Ended up opting for the chicken schnitzel which was basically a big tasty chicken nugget. Paired with mashed sweet potatoes and a small lemon dressed salad on the side. Huge portion for it as well, definitely recommend, although the sweet potato mash wasn’t my favorite. For dessert, Chassidy recommended the ice cream cake so we had to try it out. Omg super decadent and literally tasted like nutella! Deft try it out if you have a sweet tooth! Overall, would like to come back! Highly recommend for a great Charlotte ave restaurant!

Hathorne’s is a lovely tucked away gem with industrial-church vibe decor that has you feeling #blessed! The menu was clean and simple, but food was heavenly and divine! We drooled over the house focaccia bread and apricot jam, juicy chicken a la schnitzel and the most seductive summer squash ravioli I've ever sliced. The Eden (purple) & Gene (orange) cocktails were the perfect splash of color to our pairings. Staff was friendly and welcoming, well-priced for the quality, free street parking around the block! Will be returning for more!

Amazing food and lovely environment; a place where you can really relax, enjoy and converse w others. My golden beets were perfectly flavored. My daughters burger, which is her fav, was the best ever!!! I could tell the ingredients were top notch and put together by a chef who knows their flavors. Simple and yet original….exactly what we needed for a birthday dinner.

If you’re wondering how a restaurant should be - this is it. Everything was perfect from the moment we walked through the door and were greeted by the most wonderful gentleman to the MOST EXCELLENT bartender/angel. We sat at the bar and ordered 4 small plates. The beet salad was amazing only topped by the sweet potato pancakes. If you’re looking for a relaxed fine dining type atmosphere this is it.

Sat at the bar with a friend. Ate like half the menu, drank a lovely old fashioned. The ribs were my favorite thing. That is not to discredit the amazing wagyu burger. 🤌🤌 Would definitely go back with another group to try the stuff we didn't have! The bathrooms were very well kept and cool. Overall a great time with a great staff.

I just finished Saturday Brunch with dear friends at Hathorne. The restaurant is gorgeous: unique, intimate, but also spacious. There is plenty of room between tables. The noise level is perfect - we easily carried on a conversation without straining to hear across the table. The brunch menu has a great mix of small and larger plates, sweet and savory plates, and non- and alcoholic drinks. The service is EXCEPTIONAL! I cannot stress this enough. Every time I go to Hathorne, the waitstaff is attentive, but not pushy at all. They are all fantastic at explaining the dishes and offering suggestions. I love celebrating milestones there because each meal is special and I feel well-tended! I highly recommend for any meal. Also check out the special events hosted at Hathorne occasionally!

Amazing experience! Our waiter was super attentive and gave us the best recommendations. Everything was incredible, but we especially loved the redfish tartare and the focaccia with the trio of spreads (the ricotta is sooo yummy). ambience is so cute too, we sat on their patio and it was just perfect. We’ll definitely be back. +1000/10

Beautiful, delicious food, with a warm, trendy, but classic atmosphere! I had the house focaccia, the American wagyu, and their tiramisu. Taylor was our server, and he did a fabulous job. Lovely experience.

Went there for brunch with my family (including little ones) and it’s the perfect atmosphere for that. However, there were no kids items on the menu and we weren’t allowed to do any modifications. I’m trying to chock that up to brunch being new. There’s lots of space, the portions are big and the food was pretty incredible. The only other thing that wasn’t great was the service. We were one of the only a few tables and the servers weren’t very attentive. When we’d ask for something, it would take quite some time to get it, if at all. When we did ask about things again, we got a bit of short reply. I am hoping that is just because we had a big table. That was our only complaint. The brunch burger was delicious (and huge). The fries are amazing. The golden beets and the jammy sandwich. So so good. You can’t go wrong.

Stopped by for brunch, and everything was amazing!! I had the grit and hominy frico with fried catfish (which was very flavorful and filling), and you have to try the brioche donuts! Our server, Emily, was so kind to my wife and I, and she gave really good recommendations. We will definitely be back to try more brunch/dinner options.

This was my first visit, and I will definitely be back. The food was outstanding, as was the service. We were there over an hour and a half and never felt rushed. I can’t say enough great things!

We had a party in their private space, and we loved it so much we've put this location at the top of the list! Spectacular food, amazing space (very quite with a door), and wonderful staff. We loved it!

Hathorne is hands down my favorite restaurant in Nashville! I love supporting John -a local former chef who I've known for years in Nashville. His restaurant is the perfect blend of elegant and casual with patio options which I love. The indoor vibe is perfect and also a good blend of intimate without feeling too secluded. I almost always see someone I know while dining which adds to the cozy neighborhood vibe. Can't wait to try brunch sometime soon!

Fantastic and creative food in an inviting, beautiful atmosphere. Excellent service and all the appetizers and entrees were delicious. We greatly appreciated the variety of gluten free options - this is one of the few restaurants in Nashville that actually delivers on keeping meals safe for those of us who are gluten intolerant. Definitely going back as soon as possible! Thank you to the Hathorne chef and staff for the fantastic experience!!

Great food and drinks. Tonight I tried the gnocchi with venison, pomegranate, potato cream Gabriel drink... Angels envy bourbon, port demetara, cherry tobacco bitters. If you pop in, tell Hayley hello for me 😁

Hathorne has superior service, a lovely ambience, great food, and obscenely good cocktails. My mother and I split 4 small plates and 1 large and had leftovers. We are used to tapas-like places being stingy, but this is not the case at Hathorne! The bread, made in-house, was one of the stars. But everything was good; the small plates are generous and thoughtfully crafted. Our large plate was a redfish with sunchoke, and it was spiced very creatively. Everything we had was very interesting and unique, which I think Nashville dining really struggles with. Not Hathorne - they take risks with their food but aren't too weird to eat. All of their stuff is very calculated; it pays off. We didn't have dessert, but we each had a dessert cocktail. That said: DO NOT miss the Amelie for dessert as long as it is on the menu. It's listed with cocktails, but it's an absolute treat and is a great compromise if you're full from dinner.
