Veggie Village visited the Bridgestone Fooda cafeteria today. I was initially reluctant because I am not a huge veggie lover. I was presented with a spoonful of their "Sloppy Joe", which to my surprise was the best I have ever tasted a sloppy Joe. It was so flavorful, and it was entirely veggie. I paired it up with some rice and peas which was a good compliment to the flavor of the sandwich. I am going to visit this restaurant with my wife, even though it is a little bit of a drive from where I live. I was pleasantly surprised by the food and the servers were very friendly.

This place is phenomenal. The best vegetarian food I’ve ever had. Will be going back a lot of times. Chef Troy is ridiculous in the kitchen. The service is awesome. An awesome art gallery meets fine cuisine. I’m hooked.

Always fresh- like the chef just made your meal when you ordered fresh. Highly customizable to taste preference. I had a graduation dinner here- service was prompt and friendly for a group of about 20, we were able to being our own beer and soft drinks (small cork fee), and there was no room charge- just let them know in advance. Atmosphere is beautiful. It worked well for my large group, and works easily as well for a romantic venue. Make sure you have time to sit and enjoy.

I stopped at the Veggie Village and l liked the serves. The food was fresh and tasty. They can only serve 20 people. I was there 15 minutes before they opened and had a room all to myself. My suggestion would be to make the tea and chill it hot tea melted ice mad tea warm. Great concept. ....Hope they can generate enough business to survive.

Now friends, this food is the REAL DEAL! I felt so at home as soon as I walked in. Hostess was so welcoming, they tell you what’s on the menu when you come in & show you around. You pick where you wit choosing from 3 (maybe 4) dining rooms & she takes your order. From there the chef comes in to inquire about your spice preferences & food allergens before you food is made to order. I’m not vegan nor vegetarian but I knew this place would be legit. I had the vegan curried chicken, green beans & cabbage and kale and I have NEVER been more impressed by vegetables in my life, lol. I’ll be back & will be bringing all my friends.

The aroma from Veggie Village stopped me in my tracks!!! Not even the Monsoon of Last Weekend Could Keep Me Away!!! I am not a vegetarian...more importantly I haven't eaten pork or beef for more than 20 years! The perfectly seasoned curried chicken was fall off the bone good, but I asked Chef Troy to fix me whatever he'd like for me to try and it was phenomenal!!! Vegetarian pork, rice and peas and a medley of grilled veggies and cabbage and kale plus GF hot water cornbead landed me in foodie heaven!!! I plan to go back ASAP!!! I Love This Place and So Will YOU!!! Ms. Gloria and Chef Troy Are The Best!!!

SOO YUM. They were so kind to accommodate my walk-in, to-go order so quickly. First thing she asked was if I was vegetarian or vegan. Lots of options for both. I am vegan and went with the vegetable plate. Cabbage, yams+plantains, & some amazing rice! The only issue was...I wanted a second serving! Pure comfort food! I WILL be back! Thanks guys:)

The best restaurant! The food quality, the flavor are just the best I've ever had! And I've traveled over 40 countries. Try their fish sandwich on Friday, it is SO GOOD! I go there almost every Friday, but the fish sandwich just never get old. Every time I'm still impressed! :)

We had a phenomenal lunch at the Veggie Village in Germantown today! Not only was the food on another level of amazing, but the chef (Chef Delicious)and owner (Gail) came out and talked to us for most of our lunch. If you haven't been here yet, you are missing out! Great food, great service, beautiful atmosphere. You can also rent the space out for private parties! It's a really cool atmosphere with several different, beautifully decorated rooms. Also, feel free to bring your own beer, wine or liquor for a small corking fee.

This place is absolutely delicious. I murdered my whole plate! They have vegan and non-vegan options. I had the jerk chicken, smoked portabello, spiced smoked cabbage and hot water cornbread. It was all amazing. The cabbage is definitely spicy! Please visit Veggie Village if you want a delicious meal, great/friendly, personal service in an eclectic and artistic atmosphere.

Tucked just off of Rosa L. Parks Blvd is a quaint house that has been turned into a Caribbean restaurant. Upon walking in the door you are approached by odd sensation as it feels as if you have unknowingly walked into someone else's house, but moments later all becomes well as one of the owners come and greets you. With a smile she gives you a run down of the restaurant that she and her husband have created. The restaurant utilizes the rooms to allow for 3 different atmospheres, and the freedom to sear yourself allows you to explore before choosing which you will dine in. The restaurant is farm to table, so the menu changes daily to accompany the vegetables that they are able to obtain from the market. We went on a Friday for which the theme was Fish. The chef, Chef Ridiculous, grew up perfecting the taste texture of vegan/vegetarian meat substitutes. The food is made to order and the chef visits the table to meet who he is cooking for and to gauge how spicy he needs to make it. We ordered the jerk "chicken" and vegan fish sandwich with the jamican rice and peas, and the mecca greens as sides. The Jerk chicken was wonderfully complex while still keeping that heat to let you know where it came from. The fish sandwich was bright and clean, with a texture and flavour that was scary close to the real thing. The star of the show were the mecca greens had a sweet, bitter, and tangy flavour that made me take the portion from my partner. The atmosphere and the owners are one of a kind and worth spending an hour or so with as you taste the craft that they have been honing for years.

Veggie, vegan, meat-eater friendly! Helmed by chef Ridiculous, the for was just that, ridiculously good. The menu changes daily, and the recommendation was too go with the v2 burger. It's a housemade veggie patty that was crisp on the outside, and soft in the inside like a black bean burger, topped with diced tomatoes and pickles, sprouts and cheese. The fries are spicy in a subtle till it's not way. I also had the ginger cinnamon tea. Yum!

This place is amazing. The owners make it their personal goal to serve you while you are there to give you a personal experience. The chef cooks food better than I’ve tasted in Nashville. He also comes to the table to make sure you enjoy it. Lunch is perfect, but that’s not even the best part. You have to reserve dinner a day before, but if you are looking for the best three course dining experience you’ve ever had then I suggest you do it. It’s BYOB and the chef takes request for what you want to eat hours before you come. You also have the option of letting the chef surprise you with a 3 course meal. They are always respectful of your own personal diet. The chef sometimes cooks your food for 4-6hours at a time, having it ready by the time you get there. Authentic Jamaican food available if you are up for the spice. Overall the best dining experience I’ve had in a while. Gail and “chef ridiculous” are great people and love making their customers happy.

My parents and I just loved our experience at Veggie village! The vegan jerk chicken was awesome as were all the vegetable sides we tried and the cornbread was perfect (especially for a gluten free gal like me). Gail and Chef Ridiculous welcomed us with true southern hospitality and made us feel like we were the only guests there. The food was prepared with such love and care, with generous portions. As a nutritionist, I love that they source superior food from local farms- igniting your taste buds with quality ingredients and spices. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian or just a food lover I highly recommend you stop by Veggie Village!
