Really cool spot. The food was delicious. Nice place to chill with a small or large group. Our wait staff was very friendly. The fresh bread??? Drooling. It was gone before I could even get a picture. Will definitely come by again on my next visit to Nashville!

Decent spot on 4th. Google maps won't take you right to it! Food is decent I'd say it's a little pricey for the quality. The atmosphere and staff were super. It got busy fast! We enjoyed their fried chicken. The steak was ok. Tomato bisque was pretty average, as was the vegetarian pasta. The brussel sprouts were awesome- I recommend! Everything was clean. Their ceiling is filled with interesting quotes and the bar has some unique mixers. I would go back. Thanks for a nice evening!

I kept joking that I wanted to lick every plate, but here's the thing...I wasn't joking! We were able to secure reservations, and based on the crowd, I would recommend reservations for every visit for dinner. The restaurant isn't well-marked so we walked by it twice. We were promptly seated. The bar and restaurant are very attractively decorated. The ceiling is covered in quotes, which was cool. Our table had a good amount of room to maneuver, even though it was in a line of tables...I never felt cramped like in some restaurants where you can tell they want to maximize tabletops, and that breathing room added to the ambiance. Our server (Kyara) was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and guided us through every selection. She was very patient with questions and was extremely familiar with the items on the menu, which is one mark of a good restaurant and a good server. They serve complimentary still water, which was reliably and regularly refilled. We had two specialty cocktails - a Barbie themed drink and an Oppenheimer themed drink. Both were excellent. We also had the Evolution red wine, which was both flavorful and well-priced. We started with hot focaccia bread with an excellent dipping oil that has almonds and basil. Delicious! We had two first courses - the Nashville Hot Fried Green Tomatoes and some sort of French onion ravioli. See above comments about licking the plates! For our main courses, we enjoyed the Gnocchi and the Japanese Fried Chicken. Both were yummy, but the Gnocchi takes the prize. We passed on dessert, but the table next to us got the Tennessee dessert and it looked amazing. Our bill was brought to us tucked within the pages of a book (Civil Disobedience), which we thought was a fun touch. The restrooms were more ordinary than the rest of the restaurant decor (I always love a fun bathroom) but it was well cared for. I do not know the parking situation, as we walked (it was very conveniently located to the Ryman and other downtown venues). We highly recommend a visit to this restaurant!

A great experience! We came to Church and Union for a late night dinner on a Saturday, and the food and service were great. Our server Dayana was friendly and incredible knowledgeable about the menu and made amazing recommendations. She was attentive to our table even though we were the only ones in our section. The beef tartare and Nola shrimp were definitely highlights of the meal. If you get dessert, the chocolate gateau is a must. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because my entree was slightly burnt. Overall, a great restaurant

Excellent quality food, especially delicious sauces. Great specials. Beautiful ambiance. Attractive large bar and several areas of elegant quiet seating. Stylish and interesting painting sayings and words as art on ceilings and some walls. Unique and very satisfying restaurant. Only knocks are that food is heavily salted and sign out front does not match name of restaurant. But it’s worth finding. All diners in our group loved it.

We had a group of 14 for my 40th birthday. Everything was beyond my expectations. Everyone loved their meals and the service was great! I will always stop here every time I’m in town.

Great little spot. Apps were plentiful. We started with soft warm bread and a pesto vinegarett dip. Had the seafood tower. Filets, seafood, salads, French onion soup, drinks and desserts. Everything was delectable. Would highly recommend for a fun relaxing evening or a date!

Church and Union was a very cool place. It was kinda hard to find, the only signage was a small "CU" logo on either side of the door. Very dark atmosphere with some cool lettering all across the ceiling. The first thing you will notice is the giant bar with bottles lined up for miles. It sounded like there was live music, but I couldn't tell where it was coming from. It wasn't too loud, so it was nice catching up with family. Our server was very good and explained the menu and drinks well. My only complaint is that I felt like they were "trying too hard to be different". Like the Japanese Fried Chicken, our server told us all about this unique cooking process that sounded really interesting, but in the end, it was fried chicken. Don't get me wrong, we had some good dishes...NOLA shrimp and a gnocchi that was a play on French Onion soup, both were good, but the menu listed the gnocchi as F***** O**** Agnolotti and the reason they didn't print French Onion is because they didn't want to give the idea that they serve soup. The Prawns and Pork Belly was good curry dish, and the Ricotta Gnocchi were good too. Baked Tennessee for dessert was a beautifully done White chocolate, banana pudding with toasted marshmallow topping. Overall, it was a nice experience, but I feel like it was a little overpriced for the offering.

Church and Union Nashville exceeded my expectations. Was a great vibe and loved the decor. I’m a huge fan of the pre-fix menu. Beef tartare was delicious, scallops spectacular and Hot Chocolate Gateau amazing. Also what made the experience even better was our server Ben J. I definitely gravitated toward his personality. It was a pleasure meeting him.

My husband took me to “Church and Union” for Mother’s Day Brunch. When I walked in I was amazed how beautiful and unique it was. The ceiling was stunning with all the writing. The brunch food was excellent and was filled often. I can’t say enough about the place. I wanted to mention how extremely nice our server Erin was. Also Cory was so kind. He came over and saw my dessert plate, asked where the Cinnamon Roll was, said they were amazing that I had to have one. 5 stars for the restaurant, and to Erin & Cory too!

Where do I begin. The flavor profiles are so complex, I found myself trying to figure out what went into making every dish. They do offer a $51 Prix-fixe menu. Might I suggest you start off with the Nola Shrimp. Save some of the fresh bread served with the olive oil to dip in the leftover sauce from the Nola Shrimp. The Seared Scallops are perfectly seared served over a melody of veggies and grilled scallion sauce. The Anolini is a great bursting with flavor and the minced chicken sausage adds the perfect texture. Joseph was our excellent server and he knows the menu well. I am getting full just writing this review. I dare you to save room for dessert. Hot Chocolate Gateau is all I will say. Plenty of parking at Premier Parking 4th and Church entry, right beside the restaurant.

First time going here. Went for thanksgiving dinner. They had a set meal for us with some options for each course. Was a 3 course meal with an option of adding wine for each course as well. Nice lighting. Polite staff. Our reservation was at 7:45pm I don’t think we got seated until about maybe 8:30 pm? But considering it was fully packed and it was a holiday I understand. The location was convent as well. There is underground parking right by the restaurant and street parking available. I will say the food was delicious. So props to the chefs. I can’t really say to much bad about the place honestly.. oh the bathrooms very nice and big as well. The story of the writing on the ceiling is kind of interesting as well. I forgot his name but he personally came in and wrote that took about 2 months they said. Overall. A good place with a good environment in atmosphere. I ended up going with my dad but it was more of a candlelight dinner so they call it haha so maybe bring your significant other than a parent.

Love Church & Union. Food is excellent and their “Economy Gastronomy” menu is such a steal, I think it’s like $51 for an app, main, and dessert. Can’t beat it! Highly recommend.

One of the best ribeyes we ever had. 30 Oz ribeye is awesome to split. Must order!!! Asparagus is phenomenal. The atmosphere in the restaurant is so inviting. Music is great on the background. If you look up you would see painted a book on the entire ceiling by one person. He did the job in 2 month. This is incredible! Our waiter was absolutely great!
