We went for a birthday. There was five of us. We decided to try as many things as possible, so we shared several dishes. I did not see the Korean influence in the dishes but most dishes were delicious and southern although not your typical southern flavor. Service was great. The ambiance and environment were on point. Would definitely recommend.
Huge fan of Edward Lee's southern/ Korean fusion take. Place is a bit dark though fun. I enjoyed everything they served. I recommend the shrimp and grits and the beef short rib. This place is much cheaper than his high end restaurant but still in the $30 dish. But you do get a lot for what you pay for. The bacon jam deviled eggs is to die for.
Came to Succotash at National Harbor for dinner on a Sunday night. It was quite crowded but nevertheless had a delightful experience. We ordered hush puppies, deviled eggs,. Fried green tomatoes salad, Fries chicken and waffles, Cauliflower soup, and Cast iron trout filet. Hush puppies were delicious with the green tomato jam but were a bit more dense than I am used to. Chicken and Waffles were awesome; a must try. The portions are generous and the staff is friendly.
We had dinner on 3/25 & breakfast on 3/26. Excellent service all around. Jose was attentive, professional, really set the tone for a lovely evening. Kay who was warm, bright, attentive, and ensured our morning started off great. There was another woman who came by periodically to ensure our table was clean and she was very hospitable. We loved the decor and it really enhances the experience. The food was AMAZING & EXCEPTIONAL. We loved ever single item that came to our table.

Surprisingly the best fries I had ever had at a restaurant. They were perfectly salty and hot and fresh. The Pimento Cheese Burger also was cooked well and you could taste the flavors of the cheese and bacon jam, the latter of which was excellent. Waiter was pleasant, informative, and attentive. Atmosphere was calm and decor matched the menu. All together a fantastic experience.
This place was amazing!! My friends and I got the taste the south and all the food was A++. Also the staff and manager was incredibly friendly. Can't wait to come back.
