Food was pretty good. Located in a strip mall. Don’t let the location put you off. Food is pretty good. We went for lunch. They offer a variety of lunch specials and a full menu. Plenty of options got everyone. Unsweetened tea was pretty good too. Would recommend if you are craving Japanese food.
Finally! Best sushi so far of all the ones I'd been to in New Bern. Ordered a shrimp tempura roll, a spicy California roll, and veggie tempura. The sushi rice was prepared correctly. The tempura batter is light as it should be.
Will try the hibachi the next time.
If I could give this establishment more than five stars for service I would! Our wonderful server Amanda was beyond amazing! She was so personable and just all around great at what she does.
The food was great! We ordered 6 different rolls and all of them were delicious! The “mango love” roll was so fresh and refreshing however was slightly disappointed that it was only 3 pieces.
I will definitely be returning to try some of the other specialty rolls as everything we had was delicious and the services was perfect!
Visiting New Bern for the first time and craving sushi, we Googled hoping to find a sushi place that didn't disappoint. Ginza Japan popped up as one of the top rated ones. So we gave it a shot. Amanda quickly guided us through the menu and gave us suggestions on what to get. The first day we visited during lunch time and it wasn't that crowded but dinner time is a totally different story! The place is small but can get really busy.
The food tastes fresh. The sushi is spot on. Great flavor and reasonably prices. I personally loved spicy girl roll, lover roll and the angel roll. My partner got spring rolls and thw rock and roll sushi roll, he also got sushi mi and sushi. Their miso soup is fire too. We ended up going 4 times in 1 week!! Just give it a call to check how busy it is, so you don't have to wait.... Highly recommend!

the waitress was such a lovely soul. she reccomended things to me and added spicy mayo to the thing I wanted, no problem. my food was so yummy, and I highly reccomend them. it was a very relaxing place to eat. I have no doubt in my mind that any of their sushi would be phenomenal. also! I'm not usually a fan of ginger but their ginger dressing for the salad changed my mind. not to mention they have fair prices!!
Nice place, they have a large selection of sushi. I ordered the bunto dinner box with an angry dragon roll. They taste great together. The dragon roll says spicy but it's not bad, the spicy tuna had more kick. The interior makes Me feel like I Might actually be inside a diner in Japan.(not that I actually know). Definitely worth stopping by. The prices are comparable to similar restaurants.
Lived here for a year and a half and never really payed attention or knew about this place. Stumbled upon it searching “sushi” on google and this place did not disappoint!! The filet hibachi was amazing quality and the crab soup was yummy. Service was fast and friendly
Sashimi was delicious! All very fresh and was impressed by the presentation with just a "deluxe" order. Rolls were good, only complaint is that seaweed wasn't cut all the way thru on the Hurricane Roll. Soup & salad were good, tempura was light & crispy. They sent out ebi instead of amaebi but let us keep it...ebi was awfully dry, amaebi was good but head was too think or not crispy enough (usually my favorite part). Service was slow but they were very busy during lunch time with just one waitress.
Outstanding lunch - service was prompt and kind! We ordered Fire Dragon and Philadelphia roll sushi - the Fire Dragon is to die for! We also got peppered steak hibachi, which was delicious and cooked perfectly (medium rare). Miso soup was fantastic and even the ginger and ranch dressings for their salads were superb. We will be anytime we come into town!!!

I live on the other side of the state but would gladly drive back to have this place again! I’m a truck driver and just delivered a load to the Walmart next door. I was out of drive time and was starving so I looked around and found what appeared to be a hole in the wall place and I found a goldmine!! I got there a little under an hour before close and was treated so wonderfully! The young lady was very patient with me and gave me some great recommendations on what to order. I ended up getting the sushi bento box, a smoked salmon sushi roll, and some fried calamari for an appetizer. Starting with the calamari, it was super fresh, crispy, and absolutely delicious. The sweet chili sauce was the perfect complement to the dish. The sushi roll was also super fresh, and the presentation was absolutely beautiful! I could tell the fish used was fresh and the texture and taste was perfect. The bento box came with soup, salad, rice, gyoza, and a California roll alongside the 6 pieces of sushi. The miso soup was the perfect temperature, not cold at all. Didn’t seem that it had been sitting all day. It was great. The salad was a basic iceberg salad with ginger dressing but the dressing made it wonderful. The gyoza was soaked in a sauce that was a perfect combination of sweet and savory. The rice was not dry, overcooked, or bland. It had a great texture as well as flavor. The California roll was your basic California roll but was good nonetheless. The sushi…..was…..AMAZING!! Salmon was perfect! The tuna was perfect! Crab was out of this world! The server was wonderful, very polite, and didn’t rush me at all. She was quick to make sure I had everything I needed and wasn’t overbearing at all! This is the epitome of great service!!
To conclude, if I could give this place more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! The food was 10/10 A+++, service was 10/10 A+++, even the atmosphere! It was very clean. Restrooms were clean as well! If you’re ever in New Bern, NC and want to try a new place, it’s definitely worth the drive!

This place is awesome!! If you like sushi this is the place to go. I have had food from here several times and would recomend this place 10 out of 10. I wish i had taken more pictures. The sushi boat i got was not only delicious it was a work of art!
I'm really picky about sushi but this hit the spot. You can get two rolls and a super salad for $7.99 on their lunch special. Loved it
