I would drive over 65 miles (from lower Delaware) without popping in just for the greatest place , food and the people that work there....The best sandwiches ever !!
This Capriotti's is by far the best around. Staff is always on point and they make the best subs of any Capriotti's around.

Just had the best cheese steak ive ever had from any Capriotti Location! I usually go to Hockessin. Basin road blew them away. Staff is so friendly, mature, and very seasoned.

Great sub. Came in from out of town and arrived 30 minutes before close and they only had small sub rolls left (good sign); locals kept pouring in and they ran out of rolls. I’ll be back in a month & will stop in for another delicious sub!
The Capriotti's on Basin Road makes great sandwiches. From the chicken cheesesteaks to Cole Turkey's to 3 cheese hoagies, they do a great job. We go there 5-6 x per month. Well worth the visit. Please the people behind the counter are very friendly. That's just a cherry on top.

A Delaware Institution. One of the best sandwich shops Delaware has to offer. A piece of the states history that i was more then happy to see on my trip to Vegas. I grew up on these sandwiches that at times can seem pricey but are worth it
didnt like the capastrami growing up but now love it. The bobby can sometimes be dry s make sure you tell them not to skip on the cranberry sauce and mayo or oil

I ordered a tuna sub sandwich that came loaded with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, and seasonings. The tuna was basically prepared - no added onions, nor pickles. It tasted fresh and was very satisfying. Keith ordered two sandwiches - one to eat now and one to save for later. He ate the hot Cheese Steak first that was stuffed with premium grilled steak, onions, and melted white American cheese.
I live in downtown Wilmington I go out my way to go to the Capriotti's on Basin Road. The food is great the service is wonderful the people are like family it's clean and they treat you so nice they're amazing
Friendly staff and quick service. Great sandwiches from the meats to the rolls. That's always a good reason to come back.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was having difficulty with the rewards on the app but the staff was helpful and I was able to receive the Tuesday voting Bobbie submarine special. I will definitely return for the excellent service
This place is the original Capriotti's and its the bomb! We drive about an hour to get there (even though we have a franchise "Caps"within a 20 minute drive) and they never disappoint. They are a small shop and have a great crew working the place. If you plan on a friday or Saturday trip get in early as they may run out of rolls, yes they are that good! I first visited this place about 20/25 yrs ago while in the area doing some work and now that I live back in the area, well you know the rest of the story. 😁

I always love my sandwiches from here when they are made correctly. When the person on the phone, taking the order, is talking over top of you and making suggestions as to what you want on your sandwich the order inevitably ends up incorrect. She should let the customer place the entire order, slow down her speech and repeat the order for accuracy. Thank you for excellent sandwiches for over 20 years!
