Waitress and staff was friendly. Food was served hot and correct. I ordered the egg and meat breakfast. It was by far the best breakfast I have had in the this town in decades. I'm so glad Hazel's has survived all these years. I knew they awesome lunches but never had a chance to grab breakfast until now. Definitely looking forward to my breakfast at Hazel's.

Hazel's is a one and only type of place. The owner is usually working right in the kitchen. The food is delicious and very cheap and affordable. The coffee is perfect as well. The waitresses are always sweet and helpful and always bring my daughter crayons and coloring pages. This restaurant is a winner, over and over again.

Cozy. Nice and cozy. The food is more like home made, and portions were large. They are fairly priced meals and the waitress was a total sweetheart, unfortunately I don't remember her name but I will make sure to get it next time we go. It's sad that Hazel's is literally hidden in the center if a dead city.

What I ordered wasn't bad. I wasn't so impressed with the service, but they were busy so maybe that's not normal. All around not a bad place, but be aware that they bring your bill to the table, then you pay up front. I definitely sat around longer then I would have like a waiting for them to take my card.

The food is so good and the waitresses are so nice. Leave the workers a generous tip they make sure your cup is always full.

Food is always amazing!! We don’t come in for lunch often, recently I had stopped in with the my daughter and grandchildren. Our waitress was not friendly at all, she had reddish short haircut and absolutely no personality. She seemed pretty annoyed that we came around 2pm and we felt rushed. I missed the morning waitress always so friendly, we will stick with breakfast! Still our favorite place to eat in New Castle.

Hazel’s is a good ol’ sit-down diner in the heart of downtown. Unpretentious, down-to-earth, and good food that’ll fill you up. I’ve never had City Chicken before. Hazel’s specializes in this dish, which was sooooo delicious. Their menu variety is plentiful. It’s great to see local institutions like this still going strong and getting much needed support to keep going.

It was nice, the food was nice, service was nice, you do pay extra for the dressing on the salad which was interesting but, I guess it's due to it being homemade! A cheap nice place to bring a family for a quick bite!
