We ordered picnic lunches a day prior. The lunches were hearty and had a nice variety of food. It's NOT inexpensive but there aren't many choices in the area. Friendly staff.
I love this place!!! Family owned and operated with pride and passion, everything is homemade and explodes with flavor. This has quickly become a favorite stop for me.
The photo is of a half veggie tuna on homemade oatmeal with a side of their take on coleslaw(an old family recipe without mayo), which was out of this world.
Fantastic! Simply fantastic! We came in for breakfast and got the Greek breakfast sandwich. The flavors in the sandwich were so fresh and tasted great! We were told that the sticky buns and cinnamon buns were the highlight of this place, but they were out. The lady running the place apologized and stated that they are usually gone by 8am!
So, the next morning we came out just before 8 to find a line of people waiting for these famous buns! So we got in line and... man oh man! We got a chance to experience them! Get here early and get the buns!
Best cinnamon rolls on the planet! (Sticky pecan buns too!!) Huge and oh so delicious!! You could not ask for sweeter people either- so friendly and just delightful!!
I came here for cinnamon buns years ago while on vacation and they were the best cinnamon buns I had ever tasted. They are handmade, warm, moist, and have rich delicious icing. The only issue with this place is that their cinnamon buns are actually too good. I have not been able to eat a cinnamon bun anywhere else since then without nostalgically comparing it to the buns at the Cupboard Cafe. Nothing else ever comes close. I recommend going here for these fresh treats, the best you will ever eat.
Excellent cinnamon rolls, but be sure to arrive early. They sell out in the first hour! We also had their Greek egg sandwich and Belgian waffle, and they were both amazing. The staff is friendly and attentive!
What a gem!!! This place has the most amazing breakfast. Everything was fresh and made to order. My husband and I stumbled upon it during a visit to the Tide pools. My husband had the veggie deluxe sandwich, a side of hash and fresh squeezed OJ. I ordered the Irish sandwich (hash), a cinnamon bun and iced coffee. Everything was delicious. The veggies were so fresh, the baked goods (included the bread) took the prize. Mary Dee the owner was lovely to chat with.
Took home a slice of lemon cake, a cookie and have a sheet pan of cinnamon rolls.
Definitely worth the visit. Go early before she sells out of buns. We missed out on the sticky buns but gives us a reason to go back!!!
Absolutely love this place. It's a must every time we come to Maine! Cinnamon rolls and sticky buns, cream puffs are the best you will ever eat... Along with just about anything else on the menu. In 20 year we have never had a bad meal there
Updated Review: Visited again and, although they were not fully open (due to COVID) they were still selling Buns from 8:00 am until they sold out. We got there around 8:10 and ordered a bunch. The owner was super friendly and helpful and made the trip well worth it. We'll be back again next time (hopefully life will be back to normal by then).
Original Review: Food was amazing - felt like a home-cooked meal. The staff was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back again. Irish Eggs Benedict with corned beef was incredible.
This place makes great cinnamon buns, as well as fantastic pizza and an amazing triple berry pie! Can't wait to try more of their cooking! A great family run business with exceptional work staff, especially Mike.
This place is the best!! Cinnamon rolls and breakfast sandwiches were so divine we ordered picnic baskets to go for lunch and returned for breakfast again the next day! The staff was so friendly and the place is spotless. Best sandwich shop ever! You really must go and try the buns!
Ordered the Dagwood on oatmeal bread. It was fresh, fantastic, and big enough for two to share.
Love this joint. It's super cute and the food is very good and fairly priced. Breakfast sandwiches are very tasty. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. It does get quite crowded so don't be surprised if there is a wait to get your food.
Very cute place with friendly staff and great sandwiches. We picked up a couple in our way to Pemaquid Point. The chicken club is excellent and their homemade breads are fantastic.
The best breakfast sandwich i've ever had. And i'm talking better than A Brooklyn bagel bacon egg and cheese good. I had The Irish and added tomatoes. The homemade bread is a game changer. Great coffee and even better vibes
So very clean The food was unique. The Fluorine Deluxe was delicious. My husband had the corn beef hash with two poached eggs and it also was great. The sticky buns and cinnamon rolls looked great but not on our diet.
This place is a true gem! We were stayin in New Harbor for a couple nights while on a road trip and ended up eating here twice! The food is truly awesome and the owner is lovely. She was happy to talk with us for a while and give us pointers of the area. I have had day dreams of the smoked salmon breakfast sandwich and cinnamon rolls ever since, lol.
Absolutely love this place!! Best haddock chowder you will ever have hands down!! Food is homemade and always fresh, and the desserts are out of this world!! You will always be welcomed with a smile. I recommend the Cupboard to everyone.
great place for breakfast! yummy treats, not a huge menu but enough to please everyone. omelet was very good, stuffed to the max. my husband enjoyed the breakfast quesadillas. fresh oatmeal bread was delicious with refills of coffee. would reccomend to anyone passing through or staying close.
