Break the tourist trap cycle and skip the long wait at Cafe Dumonde. You can get far better beignets with friendlier service here. They also have a seafood stuffed beignet swimming in seafood sauce served on a bed of rice. Peach stuffed beignets and grits with sausage. Everything is delicious. I wish I had had known 20 years ago and I could have been having better food without the hour long waits. Better late than never. 2 trips in a row, this place has knocked it out of the park.

First time here. I was told this place has the best Beignets in town, and they are very hot, fresh and delicious. The service was fast and very friendly too. I know I will come back again.

Don't stand in line for Cafe du Monde. The varieties here are excellent!! Some of the best beignets I've ever eaten!!!!

The beignets were so much lighter and tastier than the ones from Cafe du Monde's. I highly recommend you avoid the line and disappointment at Cafe du Monde's and eat here!

Better than Cafe du Monde. Peach stuffed beignets to die for. You can get regular coffee and put your own milk in.

Best beignet in New Orleans. Each order made fresh. On the same street as cafe du monde, but better. Locals will tell you. A foodie experience. You have to try both the plain and the peach - to die for.

Amazing food. The people who work there have a great attitude and friendly personality. I'm visiting from AZ and I wish I had a place like this around the corner from me.

Yes, this isn't Cafe du Monde. It is a half block to the west of it and it was an AMAZING experience! Sure, the original beignets are great (3 for $5), but do yourself a favor and try a pig-nay ( a beignets wrapped around a serious chunk of mild sausage, $5), the seafood stuffed beignet (atop a generous pile of dirty rice, stuffed with shrimp, crawfish, and sausage and topped with a creole cream sauce).

Great location! Less than a 10 minute walk from the Ferry, no more than a 5 minute wait, and have plenty of seating! The Beignets were delicious! Light and flakey with a soft sweet center! They also offer local artists paintings.

This is the best beignet in New Orleans, and likely the country, by far! The more known and popular Cafe du Monde across the way is the wrong choice. Come here for delicate, soft, delicious beignets (try the seafood version also!!), and better coffee as well.

Okay food. Long lines. Limited options. Beignets were good but the Pig-Nay was better.

Best beignets in NOLA. No lines like at Cafe de Monde. Try their seafood beignets!

We were planning to go Cafe Du Monde until we saw the line (probably a two hour wait). Walked a block further and found this place which our hotel clerk already told us she liked the best. They take cash only, no problem, two people ahead of us when we arrived. Fresh, hot beignets in about 10 minutes. Lovely court yard for eating outside if you wanted. Big pretty fountain there too. Shady spot. Great prices. Had the pignay, the peach filled, and the regular. Sitting here tonight trying to figure out how to do it again tomorrow morning. They were that good!

I stumbled upon this spot after seeing the short crazy line at the other beignet shop. I figured it was worth a try and I might find something delicious. Totally worth the gamble! Frozen Cafe Au Lait was so tasty and different. The Beignets were really good and hot and fresh. Bravo The one issue was the wait for my order to arrive. I'm thinking that with just a few items on the menu it should be an in and out experience. But back to the awesome frozen drink!

Just as good as Cafe Du Monde, but not as long of a wait. The beignets were light & fluffy - a little less doughy than Cafe Du Monde's. The service was very nice & friendly. The stuffed beignets looked very intriguing so I'm going to have to try them next time.

I totally would take New Orleans Beignets any day over any other. The taste is on point. There always made fresh. Only down fall is they close early sometimes. I've missed out past 2 trips!!
