We didn’t order food but we did get drinks! This is such a fun bar, but to get a seat at the carousel, you need to be lucky! It was very busy and every seat was taken on a Sunday! If you don’t mind sitting in the “normal” part of the bar, then there is ample lounge style seating. We were okay with scoring a table and a few couches! They have live music periodically with a stage. Drinks were great and the staff was attentive. They seemed very busy.

What a tremendously fun and essential New Orleans experience. From the spinning bar to the live music, this place is classy, unique, charming and comforting. Just make sure you get there early or expect to stand for most of the night. Lovely place and would recommend if just for one drink.

Arrived about 45 minutes before doors opened and we were front of the line, by about 5 minutes. Great selection of cocktails and other drinks on the menu, but the bar staff can mix most drinks. We had a Sazerac and a couple of Mudslides. Excellent ambiance. What a fabulous experience.

Very delicious cocktails. We didn't get the seats at Rotating Bar because everyone wanted to sit there, but seriously it no point in sitting there. We found better seats in the next room more comfortable. Cocktails are a little more expensive than most cocktails bar because of nonsense gimmick rotating bar. We got amazing services for young ladies.

Been here several times to SEE the revolving bar but this was the first time I sat down and placed an order. Stays busy so to get a seat, gotta keep your eye open. May have to even follow the bar around lol. Drinks were good and strong. A little pricey, but you're there for the experience! Bartenders are pleasant and attentive. Had good convo with strangers on both sides of me. Didn't purchase food. We got the Plantation Rum old fashioned and a lemon drop martini. We timed it, it takes about 15min for the bar to make one complete circle. Drinks up!

I had stayed at the Monteleone Hotel years ago with my parents. I remember seeing the Carousel Bar and thinking it was amazing. I was underage at the time, so I couldnt sit up to it for a drink. Now, years later, I returned to New Orleans, and I was finally able to enjoy a drink sitting up at the bar! It was a neat experience. The service was great! The bar is beautiful designed and has been serving and entertaining people for a long time. I was so happy I finally got to experience it!

The Carousel Bar at Hotel Monteleone is pure enchantment. The revolving bar, classic cocktails, and live jazz create a timeless atmosphere. The bartenders are master mixologists. It's a must-visit for a taste of New Orleans history and a memorable night out. A solid 5-star choice for a truly unique experience!

This is a must-see in NOLA! While it was very busy, we did manage to snag some seats on the actual carousel bar itself. It was also one of the best G&T’s I’ve ever had as well. Highly recommend to anyone visiting New Orleans, especially for the first time!

We didn't have food, but we did have drinks, and they were fantastic. Once you step on the Carousel and start to spin around, you won't want to leave. We had the famous Vieux Carré (picture included). They are strong! But they are so we'll balanced they go down easy. Speaking of balance, be careful getting off the Carousel after a few! The staff was so friendly, and it was entertaining watching them work with a moving bar. The atmosphere is like a big party, everyone is there to make friends. Go early to avoid a long wait to get to the bar.

Great little bar inside of the Hotel Monteleon. We stopped in on Halloween afternoon. It was busy, but we still got great seats next to the rotating carousel bar. Stiff drinks and great staff. Can't wait to visit again soon!

Whomever is booking for them is very consistent at bringing in great bands. The bar is always a great respite from the heat and hustle, the service gracious and as fast as possible when it's packed, and the drinks are well deserving of the term "crafted". I always go back because it's one of the best ways to see live jazz while relaxing in the city.

The Carousel Bar is unique bar! The atmosphere was great, the service was top notch, and the drinks were delicious! Highly recommended for a stop in during the day so you can get a seat at the bar. Very slowly revolves around the bartenders and the mirrors all around make for some fun pictures! Didn't get a bite to eat, but the food looked great!

In The Monteleone hotel. Amazing one of a kind rotating bar. Great food and drink menus with impeccable service. The Vieux Carre is perfectly rendered version of the NOLA staple drink. Truffle fries are delicious with a perfect crust leading to a tender interior. Can’t miss with the Grilled White BBQ Shrimp. Deviled eggs are also a good choice with a trio variety served. Love the crispy Pancetta variant. Oyster Rockefeller was good.

Drinks were phenomenal of course. That old fashioned and vieux carre were top notch. Wife got the pimm’s cup and really enjoyed it. The live music was awesome. Didn’t get to sit at the rotating bar because it was full but still a cool sight. Would return!

Rely fun for a drink. Its going to be packed, just anticipate a croud. We waited patiently until some seats opend up and we took our chance. You have to be fast. Speeking of fast the bar staff are slinging drinks like crazy. The drinks are not cheep but they are delicious.

Adorable bar. It was the busiest bar around 7.30pm compared to what was on Bourbon. The concept is very cute there wasn't any live music the night I was there. Drinks were pretty expensive. Staff was very nice and accommodating.

We stopped in for a couple drinks, I had the Plantation Old Fashioned which was absolutely amazing and my wife had a Hurricane which was as good as it gets! This is a great place to get classic New Orleans cocktails.
