Toups' Meatery - New Orleans - Photo album

Toups has become a must-go for us every time we visit NOLA. It’s on the more expensive side but definitely worth it. This was our second visit and, once again, were not disappointed. The food was delicious. Our waitress was very knowledgeable on the menu and made some excellent recommendations. The
Everything was good. Everything seemed homemade. I especially liked the cornbread. I can tell that the owner has a thing for sour taste, with lots of various pickles. We liked it. If I want to be picky, the chips were probably somewhat overcooked and there were lots of flavour powder on the crackli
Can’t missed: crab claws, cracklings, corn bread. Loved everything about the meal, we got small plates because we’re leaving town the next day and couldn’t take leftovers. Will definitely come back and when we do, we’re not sharing the crab craws, I want my own!
This was our first time eating here and i must say it was amazing! The place is cozy and comfortable. The staff is not only super friendly but very passionate about their work and it shows. Our server Maggie was amazing! Thanks to her we knew, even before we got our food and cocktails, that everythi
Beyond expectations. Great meal began with very happy wait staff and the food could not have been better. Great location and beat the grind of the Quarter. The Quarter has it's place, but Toups was a true Delite.
My shrimp and grits were amazing, full of cajun spice and flavor! So were the boudin balls and the S'mores brownie! The cornbread was the best I've ever had ... sweet! The restaurant is full of pictures of Isaac's cajun heritage. Oh, also an especially tasty Bloody Mary.
The lamb neck was fabulous. The Meatery board was delicious with so many things I never would have tried on my own. The Couvillion was also excellent. Would definitely go here again. And so convenient right off the trolley.
Quality restaurant owned by an internationally renowned chef, Isaac Toups. It's a down home Cajun restaurant that's unpretentious. Great food, very clean restaurant and they serve HUGE portions. You won't be disappointed with Toups Meatery.
Awesome going to a place where it was opened by someone that got 2nd in Top Chef. Food was delicious and would definitely come again when I head back down south. Great atmosphere and felt homey. Red Fish sandwich was off the hook
Amazing, amazing! Did we enjoy the atmospheres. cuisine, and service? And would we go again? Yes and Yes! Interesting and delicious dishes. So good! For entrees, we had the Wagyu Steak, Chicken. Seafood. and Venison -- all great!
Great place. We came to try out the Coolinary menu before the month ended. Everything was fantastic, especially the duck confir with lentils. Our server was great as well. Never a bad time at this place
What a meal! Very rich and hearty Cajun style cooking. I did not have a bad bite from any of the dishes I ordered off the menu. The Cracklins as others have mentioned are a stand out. However, to me the lamb neck was otherworldly. The meat was completely falling off the bone and melted away in my mo
Everything we tasted was astronomically delicious in our mouths. We had the unlimited mimosas and trust me they just kept coming, It was great!! Our waiter was very attentive and the atmosphere was on point. This place is very casual and laid back. Us girls from California and Utah loved you guys!
Best meal of the trip! Isaac Toups, you are the man. Seared duck breast was to die for. We had half the dinner menu, and it did not disappoint! If you had been there, I would have kissed you, brother!
I think maybe we might have just ordered the wrong things? The chicken sandwich was nothing to write home about. The collard greens didn’t add much to it and if anything took away from it. The bison was nice though. The table next to us was nice enough to let us try their turkey neck apps and they w
My wife and I had one of the best meals we’ve had in a while here. Beer, wine and cocktails were perfect, food was AMAZING and the entire staff was super helpful/friendly. We were also lucky enough to meet the owner (Issac). He was super humble and grateful that we were there. What are you waiting f
The place doesn't dissapoint if you eat meat. I live around the corner and am here about once a month. The redfish benny is a dream of a dish. Very, very creative and delicious, sometimes a lil salty and heavy but thats cajun cuisine.
