We're here in NoLa to get married this week and my new wife and I just love this place. Travis the bartender is awesome, great personality and energy, plus he makes amazing drinks. Bamboulas is also one of the only place that serves real Hurricanes with real fruit juices, not that fake sugary crap. Now the music, that is the best part tbh. They have daily live music at all hours, and the talent that comes in here is just amazing...deffenitly a must on everyone's list in our opinion

Great food and service. G and the New Orleans Swinging Gypsies were phenomenal. Great music, great atmosphere, tasty food food and drink options. Exactly what you want on Frenchman Street.

Some of the best wings we've eaten!! All the food was great. And the music provided live by Damn Gina made our time there very enjoyable!

Loved the music and the crowd. A lot more space than other venues, and a little dance floor to help with connections.

Stop in on our last night in NOLA for drinks and to listen to music. They had a cool brass band playing, called the Sunshine Brass Band. They put a jazzy kick on old & current songs. Our waiter did an excellent job!

Nice hole in the wall bar with two stages for performances. The jazz band was excellent. Beers are good. Ordered chips and salsa which were good. Also ordered fried green tomatoes and they were extremely greasy. I'd go back here for drinks as long as I have a full belly.

I can't believe only 4 people have liked this place. The wings are amazing, so crispy. And the music is even better.!

Good bar. Grade: B

A nice little club on Frenchmen Street, Bamboula’s made some nice drinks at the bar, but the special of grilled cheese & chicken noodle soup for $6.50 was a brilliant idea.

It's new, it's clean, it's got plenty of space. The live music was ok. The server at the food counter was great. The shrimp po-boy and cole slaw and fries were all great!

This bar is a great experience away from the sometimes overbearing bourbon st. Listened to two bands that were very good. The lady behind the bar was so helpful. She made cocktails to suit our tastes. The giant pretzel with crab dip was delicious.

This is one of the coolest clubs on Frenchman Street! No cover…lots of space to dance if you choose! Staff is friendly…good size bar food! If you come to Frenchman St…Atop in before you go to the other spots…it will get you hyped for the day/night—whenever you visit! This space had great vibes!

We (husband and 5 month old baby) visited Saturday at 4 p.m. The live music lured us in (walk-ins) and we had a great time. We stayed for two hours and really enjoyed ourselves. The catfish po boy was excellent and served hot. We also ordered the hurricane and blonde Nola ale. We would return again.

Amazing restaurant & Bar day and night. Featuring local talent all day and night. This is what New Orleans is. Staff are kind and efficient, burgers are juicy, fried pickles are served cold and are delicious and crunchy. A/C is kicking full for those hot humid days and atmosphere is historic and fun. This is a must visit on Frenchman's Street! Reminder, there is no cover so please show your appreciation for the artists ($). Most places charge five to ten dollars per person to enter wherever live music is played.

Good food, GREAT environment, service not the best. They don't mind spilling your drink on the table or bring the food cold/half warm. God forbid you need more dressing or spices. There also was a leak right above our table, and WE had to move the table so it wouldn't get in our food and drinks.

An absolute must do while in New Orleans. You have not done New Orleans until you've been to Bamboulas! Very welcoming, friendly, helpful and happy staff. Yes the fried pickles are fantastic as was the burgers and drinks. The building ambiance and bands they book are top notch day and night. Great A/C as well.

We were greeted with welcoming service, all the waiters were friendly. We weren't sure what to expect either the live band, but we were not disappointed. This was the best night we had in our 5 day stay in NOLA. We will for sure be back. The drinks were well done and the food was pretty good. Wish the serving size was a bit more. Overall a great time.

A great all-ages venue. They book great acts, and there is no cover with just a one-drink minimum per set. My niece and I enjoyed the music while eating fries, big pretzels and jambalaya and sipping on ginger ales. The wait staff, shout out to April and Margo, were lovely and helpful. I have been several times and will certainly be back!

This was a great place for live music. The energy was high and the band was amazing. I would highly recommend stopping in if you are near Frenchman Street or if you want to get away from the debauchery of Bourbon Street.

Was exactly what I was looking for for the New Orleans experience. Food was great and the band tonight was amazing. Service was a bit slow but the poor waitress was overworked and still provided amazing service. Love that it wasn’t near Bourbon Street with all the disgusting people and felt very safe here. Would highly recommend.

We were searching for food and live music and this was the spot! We lucked out and while the menu was simple it was really well done local dishes with no complaints. The live band was also well put together and tight. Enjoyed our time.

Chilled out jazz vibes, 4pm on a Thursday afternoon this was the place to be as most other bars don't open till much later. Decent happy hour offers like 5$ sangria.

So, Saturday afternoon, great weather. The band is exceptional with tons of energy. The food was really tasty. However, beware, $8.50 for a small plastic cup of beer and charging $1.25 for a tiny cup of remoulade sauce without notice was surprising. No beer prices on the beer list. So, go for the music... The service was ok, but I had to chase down the wait staff for the check. Visited the table twice...for the order and to bring the check.
