I come here for the ceviche. It's fresh, succulent, and just the right amount of citrus. I only wish it had more calamari and less Drum. They also make the BEST Margaritas! The secret is a splash of 1/2 & 1/2, as it cuts down the acidity & creates a delicious froth.
Stopped here for a bite. Service was great. Food was very good!! I will be back.
Gluten Intolerant -- this is Paradise. Avid traveler who enjoys eating out just like others when traveling BUT, often difficult when GF! People this place is for us--even have GF corn chips for dipping! My traveling companion is vegetarian and both of us were able to have many options for authentic homemade food. Prices were reasonable--check them out when in NOLA you will NOT be disappointed.
Very Impressed!!!. I had lunch today at Santa Fe and was really blown away! The staff was friendly and gave us great service.
Everyone who loves Mexican food will tell you, not just any ol' salsa will do, but their salsa is EXCELLENT.
Someone else in my party had a house margarita that I tried a sip of. It was stiff with plenty of fresh lime juice, just the way I like it.
Mexican is my favorite food, but I was especially impressed with the oyster tacos. And I hadn't even had more than two sips of alcohol! Imagine that! There were two house sauces that came with it that were very unique and I'll be remembering for a long time.
I live on the Northshore these days, but I will make time to stop in at Santa Fe soon! Perhaps I'll just stop in for a drink at the bar after work before my commute, but how will I resist staying to eat?
Don't understand the 60% rating. We ate here last night and the food was excellent. We had the calamari and cerviche that were both excellent. Also had three fish entree's that were all very good. The service was good and all the food came out hot and well presented. Also the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. Would be much more expensive at other places. Overall very satisfied and plan to go back
Awesome!. We go to Santa Fe at least twice a week - we live nearby so it is very convenient but we love the food - calamari, ceviche, grilled fish taco's, watermelon margarita's, and the specials are over the top! The staff is friendly and the owners make the place very special as they are always accomodating. I think it had a rough start a few years back with different owners and chefs - but go back! You won't be disappointed - Thursday nights live music!
Love the atmosphere at Santa Fe! The empanadas were okay. Chicken fajitas were enough for two people and very good. Good service at lunch!
Simply Fantastic. I cannot speak better of this restaurant. For starters, the character of this place is wonderful. The atmosphere is comfortable, relaxed, and friendly.
A friend and I had dinner here over the weekend. The server was very kind and knowledgeable; the bartender charismatic and professional.
As for the food, it was just awesome. My friend had a salad topped with seared tuna , and I just had to try a piece. The tuna was fresh and cooked perfectly. Now, I usually try not to order chicken very often (i find it can be dry and usually boring) but when I read the description of the Chicken Maximilian, I almost had no choice. The combination of flavors was outstanding.
To wash it all down, we had a liter of their "perfect" margaritas. They had to be the best margaritas I've had in a very long time. I don't know what they put in there, but that stuff is good.
All in all, I would suggest this restaurant to friends, family, and anyone looking for a great time. I look forward to returning for years to come.
Fun, friends, and and an enchanting atmosphere!. I'm a regular at Santa Fe. This restaurant's awesome! An amazing happy hour, free live music twice a week, friendly owners, and delicious food. What more can you ask for? The salmon with sun-dried tomato beurre blanc is easily the best salmon dish I've tasted in the city, and the margaritas are so delicious. The food always comes out quickly and no matter what I order it's great. It's a small place that can get very loud and very lively - especially when the musicians play. It's my favorite place to come have fun with my girlfriends or to go on a fun, romantic date.
Had a great lunch. Seafood quesadilla and chicken taco. Quite good. Margarita very good.
We LOVE coming here! The food is always good - especially the scallops and the oyster tacos! The margarittas are PERFECT!! The staff is fantastic!! Highly recommend and always bring out of town guests here!!
Great for kids, great margaritas for parents.... The owners are very warm and welcoming, and there are great kids' specials, for example, a kids' size burrito with rice and beans and a cup of ice cream for dessert, for just $5! There's also a great outdoor patio with ceiling fans and a little fountain at one end, which the kids absolutely love. After they finish eating, rather than getting restless, they go to the fountain and seem to be endlessly happy putting their hands in and playing while mama and papa sip the delicious Santa Fe margaritas, which by themselves make this restaurant worth visiting! There's a playground right down the street, too, which can also be helpful for luring the kids & persuading them to let you enjoy a lunch out...
Nice Find. I've noticed this lil place months ago! I gave it a try and cannot complian! The food was fresh and very good! I will be back!! Drinks are good and strong too!
From Frenchmen Street to Esplanade. Thanks to an overflow situation across the street, I stumbled upon this place. The friendly waitress confirmed that this was formerly in the Marigny Triangle. The thick and mildly spicy lentil soup was good but needed more salt. My two generous chunks of escolar was cooked and seasoned reasonably well. However, the two large tasteless prawns were quite useless. That was soon forgotten after the hazelnut cappuccino cheesecake. The overall nice dish presentations need to be acknowledged. All of this while soothing instrumental Spanish music serenaded in the background.

Funky, good food, inexpensive. We’ve been here many times. Our friends Brent, John B., Mark et al have long played a regular music gig there on Thursday nights outside.
Fantastic and large staff. Funky, creative decor, on a great spot on Esplanade.
The Santa Fe Combo was a tasty sample and huge for just $14 at dinner. They served good table nachos and salsa. Just $40 for dinner for two adults, two kids with tax and tip last time. The fish taco was very good, as was my ceviche and the huge pork and cheese tamale.
Great margaritas and food. Very good atmosphere
Loved Caesar salad and seafood pasta. Liked veggie nachos. Queso was thick and not really warm. Service was awesome.
The crawfish and shrimp fajitas were perfectly seasoned, not too spicy, but super flavorful! The servers were kind to my kid, and helpful to my parents.
Overall, a great experience.
Seems to be a popular location. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Street parking. Location is very close to City Park. Pricing is reasonable. Portion sizes are also reasonable. They also have a happy hour for specific drinks (margaritas, wine and sangrias).
Could have been a bit more aware of their plating. Not a thoughtful delivery. Otherwise food was good. Our pitcher of margaritas was good. Server was nice and food came out quickly. We went the night before jazz fest first weekend. I hope they did well during the event!

I have been eyeing this place for quite sometime so after having tried it out I am really glad we made it. Ended up coming for bunch on a Sunday and everything we ordered was well made and tasted amazing. The food is all southwestern style, and the restaurant theme matches. Mostly everyone wanted to sit outside since it was beautiful out, but having taken a peek inside it is very cute and well decorated indoors as well. They had a small duo singing outside and even though we where further away we could still hear them. We met the restaurant owner he was very sweet and friendly. We started with the complimentary honey glazed jalepeño corn muffins. They are delicious but yes, the jalepeño are cooked in so be carful if you are sensitive to jalepeño spices bc they do have a light kick. I had the Rueda de huevo and I would order it again if it weren’t the fact that I would feel to need to try something new since most of the menu looks so tasty. We had a small child with us and they did have high chairs available as well as child friendly options from the menu. There where quite a few families with kids as well as other groups or couples of people, so a good option for anyone. Even though we cleaned our plates, we did managed to get talked into dessert since they had so many great options. The cheesecake is one of the best I have ever had in NOLA. Also, the Sunday drink specials might have you tipsy as they are a great deal!
I love this place! The food, atmosphere, and the people are all amazing. It’s probably one of the most truly dog friendly restaurants in the city (water bowls, puppy pork). See if Brandon is working and ask for his section he’s one of the nicest guys, always amazing to my dogs and just an all around great server (also very funny).
It’s just a great place to eat, drink and hang out. The sangria is so good, the fried green tomatoes are gorgeous and delicious, and the Gypsy fajitas I love. So good.
We arrived at 12:30 and it was very busy. Regardless, our hostess sat us quickly and our waitress took our order within 5 minutes. We were out of there a little after 1:00. I was very impressed with how speedy they were.
Not to mention the food was delicious. I had the southwestern biscuits with pulled pork and chorizo. My wife had the shrimp and grits and a couple mimosas for $1 each! We left only paying $40 after tax and tip. Very affordable!
Location is great. Parking not so much. The food is good but a bit pricy for what it is. I had to return to the hostess because no server came to me in over 25 minutes. I was literally seated near the most busy area.
I had their beef empanadas for my appetizer and they were very flavorful. My main dish was the chicken burrito and it was also really good. The restaurant is hard to spot because of the trees in front but the food is good.
We dined in right when they switched from the brunch to dinner menu and were able to get a breakfast burrito and a burger; both were delicious! The seating is also all outside so you don't need to be indoors at any point unless you need to use the bathroom. The staff was excellent (and all wore masks) and the food was just as good. I'll definitely be back!
All the food here is amazing . Full of flavor and great portions! The service is always quick and super friendly. Phil took care of us today and was on point the entire time. Even told us about the specials. The prices are decent for the area and I love the low key feel of the place.
I had the flounder, which I was surprised to find in New Orleans. It was cooked perfectly. It can with grilled vegetables, rice and a sauce. I wasn't to pleased with the sauce but that was just me. The food just didn't have enough flavor for me. Again, just personal choice because it was cooked perfectly. Unlike a lot of restaurants here that over cook fish. The atmosphere was great. There was a small band playing quietly. The staff was attentive and friendly.
The food here is delicious!! The beet salad is to die for with the goat cheese. I also got the chicken enchiladas. The bean dip is just queso and beans, but it’s the best thing you will ever eat! 🤩 We come here every other year when we’re in town for Thanksgiving. I highly suggest!
Recommended for its Chef Morris and his food.
SO THRILLED with it all-the outdoor seating and live music, the service, and THE FOOD!! Every bite was fresh, delicious, and unique.
As visitors to New Orleans, along with a regular on business trips, we will definitely eat here every time and recommend it highly.
Thank you for a wonderful experience in every way!
I’ve been here probably about 10 times now, the food is definitely not worth the price, and I’m sure I just caught the bartender on a bad day but they seem completely on organized and had no idea how to make a Moscow mule the right way. Or Anyway you would take a Moscow Mule, bitters or no bitters… would highly not recommend
