We called in for breakfast. It's quite good food, good sized portions, nice coffee. Service was friendly enough although felt a little rushed. There is live music sometimes - they were setting up as we finished.
All in all, a pretty good option if a little pricey.
Stopped in to grab a nightcap and I was having a serious dessert craving. The bar was only open at this point but I still inquired if they had any dessert. Kitchen was closed, but no bother. Chris the bartender went above and beyond and grabbed me a chocolate cake they serve himself. It was pretty delicious. His service was even better though.
Amazing whiskey selection here!
HUGE SHOUTOUT to the lovely ERIN JUPITER for the wonderful customer service and hospitality at Public Service! She truly went above and beyond during service and I could not thank her enough for my experience at the bar.
First impressions are important right? She excelled and delivered to a T and I will forever remain loyal to the NOPSI Hotel.
Thank you again Erin! You are the best
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
UNTIL THEN!! ^-^
We love Public Service! The best part is that if you’re staying at the hotel you don’t have to go far if you’re exhausted and just want delicious food.
Breakfast is just ok, it’s overpriced and limited but the food still tastes good. The breakfast potatoes are some of the best in the city. Their brunch menu is significantly better for variety.

Stellar meal and even better service!!! Lovely atmosphere, drinks were great, too! Generous portions. Highly recommend the meatloaf!
The food was delicious. My pork chop was cooked perfect and the sweet potatoes tasted great. My wife's steak was a little undercooked but still tasted good. Our server was polite but didn't seem to know much about the food being served and I found it odd that he asked how I wanted my pork cooked. Other than that our experience here was pleasant.
We ate here twice during our trip to New Orleans. The food was exceptionally good and reasonably priced. Grund beef Wellington, Chicken Quesedillas, BBQ Ribs were all tasty and amply portioned. Get the "Ooey Gooey" Cake for dessert. The Sazerac coctail was wonderful and unique.
I tried this place out for brunch and it was pretty tasty. I’m not sure if I would go here for “vibes” (brunch should be total vibes and there were none here) but the service was great and the food was standard. Worth a try!
Great bar staff. Good food. Prices are totally reasonable. And if you stay at the NOPSI connected to the restaurant, you’ll get complimentary drink tickets. A fantastic spot in a fantastic town.
Food was amazing. They brought food to us because we wanted to eat it in the patio since we had a dog. The ribs (special of the day), ceviche, and oysters on the half she'll were all great picks. Seems like you can't go wrong here. Chris, our server, and the whole staff was lovely and helpful as well. Would definitely recommend to others. Plus, it's in the NOPSI hotel which is a beautiful elegance on it's own.
Erin and Coey were exceptional bar keeps. Will recommend and return again on next trip to NOLA.
A romantic, quiet restaurant with a small menu that delivers on the taste. Drinks are very strong and have a botanical flavor. Great for a date night.
Came here to get a coffee and get work done out on the patio.. The customer service was elite. I felt taken care of, comfortable, and appreciated as a customer while also getting to enjoy a beautiful haven in the middle of downtown New Orleans... with fantastic wifi. Definitely stop by, whether its happy hour, morning coffee, or even for an overnight stay!
Great restaurant to stop by with getting into the crowds of the French quarter. If you're lucky enough to be served by Christian you will be extra lucky. She gave us recommendations on the city that paid off while directing us to the best items on the menu. Highly recommend the Backyard bird and the ooey gooey cake.
Great new restaurant in the CBD! Blue crab dip is to die for. I'm glad it's less than a block away because we are definitely going to come back to try the brunch.
We stumbled on Public Service late on a Sunday, when many other restaurants had closed.
First, we were taken by how incredibly *affordable* the prices were. Wow. It has 3 dollar signs, but we’re from a city where ..that means you’re paying $100+ a plate.
Second, the meatloaf Wellington was delicious - that gravy was incredible and just MADE the plate.
I had the Causeway Shrimp and I want to BATHE in that spicy creamy Cajun sauce. It was incredible.
The staff was kind and the wine was good.
All in all a true success.
