Lovely cafe with hearty, tasty, non pretentious food. We were a large group including little kids and we had breakfast. Very kid friendly place. Service is excellent. Standard breakfast fare served quick and with a smile. Grit and biscuits were good, so were omelettes. Staff was accommodating of our requests. We liked it so much that we went back another time during our stay. Cant recommend enough! They open early (7 am).
Super cute little eatery. We basically had the place to ourselves. Staff was nice and food came out quickly. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We had to have some housemade beignets were yummy, hot, and fresh!
My concierge recommended this place to me. I really wanted to try some Cajun food staples being in New Orleans. I'm glad I came to this place, it wasn't the busy time for it, which was surprising to me because of the quality of the food here. It really was fantastic, and I was very satisfied. I ordered the Taste of New Orleans dish and that gave me the 3 staples: Gumbo, jumbalaya, and red beans and rice with a biscuit. I also ordered some beignets and for my first time having them, I was very happy with them. My servers name was Judith, and she was an absolute sweetheart. If I find myself here in town again, I will be coming back.
This is a small crowded diner. The food is great. The eggs Benedict were served with ham on a biscuit. The egg was slightly o er cooked. The hollandaise was perfect. The biscuit was typical breast for New Orleans. It was really delicious. The grits were PERFECT! Salted with a little cheese and butter. These were life affirming!!
DW got the beignets and bacon. She was pleased with her selection.
We both had cafe au lait. This was great here.
The service is very accomodating considering the crowd.
Quick food, excellent flavor, and well portioned. The Streetcar Cafe is well worth your time. Come in the evening for a quiet experience for you and your company.
Stopped here for lunch on the way to the French quarter. Nice small diner with a great menu that had lots of variety. Recommend the Bloody Mary but if you prefer non alcoholic the iced Vietnamese coffee is great. You should definitely get the blackened alligator bites appetizer. One of the best po boys in the area so definitely recommend the shoyster!
Streetcar Cafe has the best homemade beef burgers I’ve ever tasted! Simply delicious! The catfish platter was awesome too! The Paloma was so good! Our waiter, the guy with glasses, was AMAZING! It is a must have when visiting New Orleans.
The Crab Cake Benedict and Bloody Mary’s were spectacular! The prices were reasonable, the atmosphere fun! Tiffany was excellent and knowledgeable about food and NOLA and that was a huge plus! Very worth it vs making long touristy lines at Cafe’s in the area.
Went for brunch and had a great experience. The red beans and rice and jambalaya were great. We went back for dinner and somehow the service and food were worse. The fried oyster bites were mostly breading and the gumbo was just ok. Would recommend as a breakfast or lunch spot, but not for dinner.
The food at Street Cafe was delicious. The red fish in its special white sauce with mushrooms was very tasty. The potato salad was some of the best that I tasted, and the green beans were perfect. My husband enjoyed his meal too!
