My family and I moved to New Orleans from Mexico in the late 90’s. We had given up on finding authentic Mexican food in the area until we stumbled upon this place today. Taqueria Guerrero’s food feels straight from my mother’s kitchen. My parents tend to be harsh critics of anything that labels themselves Mexican and they LOVED everything they were served. My dad joked that he was going to steal the green salsa off the table. We tried 3 different types of caldos (pozole, caldo de res, menudo) that were delicious. We tried the street style tacos and they were delicious and filling. The server recommended the churros and it was a great idea. Amazing service and recommendations! We were immediately served chips and salsa upon being seated. My family agreed that we will be making this a regular place for us!

Love how friendly and comfy this restaurant is. The food itself was just okay, but the waiter brought this spicy avocado salsa and it legit upgraded it! Prices were great, and the staff was very attentive! Definitely worth the stop

Pozole was so good! The salsa matcha is spicy! Probably should try like a quarter spoonful at a time. Other hitters include the lengua and baleada

This place is a gem!! Easy to get to, the food is authentic and delicious (and comes out nice and hot), the service was quick, and our waiter was awesome. The meat was so tender and flavorful for each of the 3 mains we ordered, and the lime that came with the tacos was huge and juicy. Guacamole had actual chunks of avocado. Highly recommend.

After searching far and wide for Menudo/Pozole, we asked one of the workers at another Mexican restaurant and he pointed us to Taqueria Guerrero!! it did not disappoint at all. We love that they have Jamaica (Hibiscus tea), Horchata and so much more stuff than the Tex-Mex restaurants in New Orleans. I ordered the Menudo and it was just as I remembered. Hominy, Tripe, and red chili; so much flavor! We're excited to go back to get the Pozole next @phidingthefam

Pretty good. The breakfast is rich but not exceptional. The interior is filled with Mexican knick-knacks and mexican nostalgia. The menu is bountiful but nothing profound really stands out. The staff is friendly and the area is one of the liveliest in the city

I have been searching for an authentic Mexican food since I moved to New Orleans and i was out of luck and i had given up... until I was walking by with my partner in Carrollton and i cannot i have been driving by this place all along. This place actually has the best pozole in the City. It was so delicious. This is going to be my new spot for my partner and I every Sunday.

Taqueria Guerrero Mexico Inc. sold these AMAZING ground beef tacos! The cashier was super warm and kind. The interior is open to dine-in and is very festive looking, which is wonderful for a business to represent its culture. It is rare to find a spot that serves ground beef tacos. These were the best I've ever eaten. The ground beef was seasoned to perfect with a hint of spice. The chicken was tender and had salt, but could use some other herbs or sauce marinade. I will be returning and do recommend Taqueria Guerrero Mexico.

geographically wise, it’s in a convenient spot. however, there is little to no parking on Carrollton so you will most likely have to park along the nearby side streets. besides that, it is a very welcoming space and the food is super delicious & authentic. it’s a nice choice for a quick lunch or a casual date night.

I was pleasantly surprised with this unassuming but authentic Mexican restaurant. They have a menu offering a good variety of authentic Mexican dishes and even had chili relleno, which is hard to find here. Our server was cute but a little shy, however she was attentive and did a great job. I had three tacos al pastor, which is pork cooked with pineapple. This pork might be the best in town and believe me i know my tacos. The pork was cut like carnitas, but much more taste and tenderness. Three most excellent tacos for $10...phenomenal price. My friend had two humongous tamales with rice and beans. She could only eat one, but left no doubt that she too loved Tacquerita Guerrero' s food. Tacqueria Guerro is a well-kept secret tucked away on N. Carrollton down from Venezia. Do your taste buds a favor and check out this authentic Mexican restaurant. 10 *s.

The food was more authentic than most Tex-Mex fair that is found in New Orleans. I had the carne asada and my kid had the tamales. The tamales were huge and the carne asada was seasoned well. The service was quick and friendly. Definitely going back.
