I knew it would be good when there was 2 NOPD patrol cars out front.
Stumbled on Dixie completely by accident. Tucked in a neighborhood just off Canal Blvd, the restaurant isn’t big, but their food was exceptional. It is a small place, not too many tables and there was one wait staff. She never stoo
Simple but excellent menu with Italian, chicken & seafood. The fried chicken was amazing and will get us back frequently.
Food was excellent, service was great even though Ms. Sandy was the only FOH when we were there. She was a rockstar with the to go orders and service. I had the Monday special which was red or white (I chose white) beans, salad and either sausage or pork chop. The only reason I’m giving them 4-stars
The barbecue chicken and ribs where to die for. The potato salad was great and the barbecue beans were great second only to Big Mike's in Hammond.
BEST FRIED CHICKEN!! Mild and fresh!! Great plate lunch. Even has paneed pork chop!
I come here all the time with my partner. We love Sandy. We love this restaurant. I often bring out of town friends to Dixie for the BEST fried chicken in the city. Yes, I've tried all the usual NOLA fried chicken, and trust me, I know good fried chicken, and Dixie is the best. I abhor when people t
I like the food very much the food is prepared per order I go often and will continue to there
This place was suggested by my girlfriend and I'm so glad she did. I see why chicken is in the name of the restaurant. Hot, juicy and well seasoned. I have had great chicken in my time and this ranks right up there as one of the best. Small, quaint and a friendly staff made for a great eating exper
1st time. Chicken was hot and tasty. Server was friendly and polite
Great local diner. The white beans and rice were on point. Friendly staff. Casual dining.
Try the Dixie special. Ham, roast beef and Swiss. Very messy but so tasty. Everything here is great and the staff is all very friendly. Highly recommended.
Great food and service, Vincent was our waiter, he was great!
One of my favorite places to pop in for a delicious bite and a local Dixie Beer or 9. Oddly not many places carry Dixie anymore but Dixie's never lets me down!
I went there looking for fried chicken and let me tell you that tasting just like Willie May's scotch House is a huge compliment. And the waitress suggested the ribs and chicken combo and let me tell you I wasn't disappointed at all. I was so happy to find this restaurant. I live in Madisonville an
I ordered the Chicken and Ribs w/ cabbage and corn on the cob. The ribs and cabbage was delicious. The chicken is cooked to order so it comes out hot; could use a bit more seasoning but good. Fast and friendly service. I would definitely recommend this place.
