This place is the bomb. The best Mexican restaurant I have ever been ever in my life. Fresh salsa and chips also I like to take advantage of happy hour for margaritas only four dollars. This place is the place to be when it comes after work and revibe.

We had the Brisket, Shrimp, Pork, and Carne Asada tacos which were outstanding. Drinks (Champagne Sangria, Simple Mojito) were fantastic although the mojito was a touch sweet. The desert of chocolate churras, with vanilla ice cream, cinnamon, and caramel was divine. Great relaxed atmosphere - you can actually have a conversation at dinner.

I love the vibe at this place. We sat outside, loved the trees and music playing. We had margaritas, chips and guacamole were yummy and all of us loved our small tacos. I would definitely come back!

It’s all about fresh! Can’t wait to go back and try more items and some of the infused alcohols. This was a great find for us.

Tacos were amazing the combinations they use were unusual but really worked well together. The pork and sweet potato quesadilla was out of this world 😊

My wife and I are staying in an AirBNB nearby and wanted a quick dinner. We began dinner with guacamole, queso, and chips (happy hour specials). All of this was delicious. The guacamole was also properly salted and was my personal favorite of the two. Our tacos were delicious. My wife had the banh mi, tempura mushroom and the brisket tacos. I had the pork, fried queso fresco, and brisket tacos. All were dressed as per the menu. The pork was tender and juicy and delicious. The slaw on top was good but lacked some sort of acid to balance out the richness of the pork. The fried queso fresco was tasteless. The cheese added texture, but it amounted to a pico and avocado taco. The brisket taco was fantastic. The ancho chiles gave a sweet heat to the juicy, slightly smoky brisket. My wife enjoyed her banh mi taco but there was a bit too much of the diced jalapeno (with seeds). She tolerates spice well, but it was a bit much for her. The tempura mushroom taco was her favorite. The mushrooms were crispy and meat and she mentioned the sauce being delicious. The sides we tried - elotes (amazing, highly recommended), roasted squash, side salad, and cucumber salad were all good. The elotes and side salad were the standouts. The elotes was perfect, but suggest serving with lime wedges. The side salad was well-dressed and the charred red peppers were a nice touch. The roasted squash and cucumber salad were both good, but needed more salt and acid and something to punch up the flavor. They were both sort of one-note and flat. All said and done, we'd both definitely eat here again. We both enjoyed our meal and service quite well.

The food was outstanding. We started with a basic queso dip and an amazibg salsa. I had a brisket street taco and a carnitas street taco with a cucumber salad as a side. My companion had the Chipotle Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. The food was delicious, the restaurant was neat and clean, and the server was knowledgeable and professional.

Amazing tacos! Very tasty and plenty of meat inside. They do not skimp on the ingredients. I had the Brisket (el fuego) and the Fried Cheese (queso fresco) tacos! They were very well done. Must come back to try the other tacos they have.

Tacos are life! This place was a treat to visit. Their atmosphere was warm and inviting, their staff welcoming and kind, and their tacos were delicious! Make sure to get the Elote! Oh, and you can't go wrong with the Pineapple Cilantro margarita! We'll be back!

Go during the happy hour and get their $2 tacos; two tacos plus an order of chips/queso is a great meal for a bargain. The carnitas tacos are particularly good.

Nice menu selection plus the option to create your own meal. The tequila selection is worth another trip and review...

We stumbled on this place while wandering on Oak Street. As someone who spends a great deal of time in San Francisco, Mexican food wasn’t topping my list of food priorities in New Orleans, but we were so glad to have happened upon La Casita. The food was very good, the drinks were delicious, and our server was great. Fun to talk to and pleasant. Overall a good dining experience.

Great atmosphere, great choice between traditional and more creative offerings. They have real barbacoa, which I've been looking for since moving here from San Antonio. The happy hour has good prices for the standard tacos. Even though we came in when shifts were changing, they gave us good service.

Simple Tacos + Margarita Happy Hour was legit. Meat was flavorful, well cooked/seasoned and tender. Great portion size, lots of meat. Now my favorite new taco place in town. Veggie taco was delicious as well.
