Loved this place. Not too many tourists and a non fancy place but the service and the Sushi were top class. Highly recommend you try this place if you like good fresh sushi.
Great Sushi. This place is in a food court so the atmosphere is not swanky. However the sushi is not food court sushi. It is very fresh and delicious. Prices are very reasonable.
Best Sushi in the French Quarter.
Good food first time ever having sushi cause I used to work there
Best sushi in downtown New Orleans. Even though it is located in a food court the sushi is really good. I come here every week. I recommend the noodle salad, the rock and roll, and the Nola roll.
Spicy crunchy was awesome, we got creative with a California dragon and he did not even flintch. Not bad for a chef from Burma.
Delish!. I go here about once a week since it's the only sushi within walking distance of my house. The same guy is always working here, I should know his name by now...
The sushi is delicious, you would never think you were in a food court. He makes it right in front of you and since the place is so small you can ask him to make it however you would like. There's only one two-person table and a small sushi bar, but you can order to-go and sit in the food court. Very reasonably priced - highly recommend!
Yummy. I have been here several times and eveytime I have had a really good experience. The sushi is very good too!

Good sushi for being in a food court. The fried salmon roll is delish.
Decent for a food court. Food court, 2nd fl. Jax building 600 Decatur. Under staffed. Nice view of river. snow crab, crunchy snow crab, rock n roll all decent. OK sushi for a food court. Have to pay for your water (bottled only for $2) but smaller tip. 9/09.
This is a small cut out at the food court by the pier. I reccomend parking in paid parking, going right, and the straight until you hit the rail tracks. Don't cross! Go up the stairs to your left. It's located in the "Jax Brewery" .
Single employee working and just has the service of any food court.
Rolls are $8-$15. Cheapest roll I could find was $7.99.
Poke bowls are $12 and there are just a handful of options.
I read there was a lunch special, that is not true. Or at least I couldn't find it anywhere, and the employee said the prices are the same all day.
I got the grill fish for $7.99
Bourbon street for $8.50
And Rainbow roll for $11.99
Plenty of seating and no line when I was there. (Tuesday at 2pm) Food took about 15 minutes.
I did not see a wheel chair/stroller friendly entrance anywhere.
Rolls were a little sloppy, not tight. The rainbow roll and grilled fish roll had too much sauce/soy sauce.
Overall very yummy and I would come again
Accessibility ♿️: 0/5
Kid friendly: 1/5 lots of room for them to run around, but there were a lot of stairs, no high chairs, not good changing area, no kids menu.
Even just a side of rice was like $5
Love that the owner is also the chef. Great poke bowl. Always a good sign when you see the ingredients being prepared in front of you specifically for your bowl.
Delicious fresh sushi. The lady there can make some dang good rolls! On top of all that, it’s affordable. There are some items not on the menu but if you voice what you want to the chef, she will happily oblige. Great service as well. I’d highly recommend if you are in/around New Orleans!
I got the lunch special with a veggie roll and a spicy salmon roll which was $13.99. The cucumber salad was around $6 I think. Definitely reasonably priced and the quality was better than expected. It did take a while for the food to come out but seems like there was only one worker there and we weren't in a rush.
Great portion sizes and the person working was super nice. Sushi tasted great as well. Wish we had found the place earlier in our visit since other sushi around New Orleans was pretty disappointing.
Fresh & Delicious! Lah provides great service and makes this crazy good Jazz Roll. I "mmmm'd" out loud it was so tasty. In a food court setting Jazz Sushi Bar ranks best.
Got the NOLA roll, crab roll and shrimp ramen. Kids loved the ramen, they split it three ways. Quite tasty, decent speediness, price was good for a food plaza place. Only one lady working the place, still got things done.
The sushi and ramen were great and very reasonably priced compared to other options in the area. You can walk out on the balcony and see the riverboat as well.
Really good for the price! They have some more local rolls like the crawfish roll or BBQ eel as well as traditional rolls.
Do not sleep on this place. It’s excellent! I eat sushi all over the country. I am glad I stopped here! Top notch. The rolls were huge!
