As always, the food and service was great! Well worth the 50+ mile drive!

Unique, authentic, and incredibly delicious. I got the spicy jerk chicken plate which comes with rice, fried plantains, cabbage and a side salad (which is a spring baby mix of greens an cucumber and tomato). The spicy jerk chicken wrap is insane as well. They also sell spices and random other things. The people are super friendly. Definitely going back, like this week. Highly recommend.
This is my favorite place to eat in the city. Everything is delicious!
This place is all heart and soul. Amazing food. Lovely gorgeous krewe. Beautiful decor. Safe, happy place. :)
The food was fresh and delicious. I had the pleasure of enjoying the Salmon Salad..next time I'm gonna try it spicy
I absolutely adored this food!! The food AND Atmosphere are authentic!!! If and when you go try the All natural cane juice.. Phenomenal!!!! thank you for sharing a little piece of Jamaica with me! ♥️
Superb Caribbean Cuisine! The owner is amazing! Genuine hospitality and relaxing atmosphere! Definitely worth a visit if you're in New Orleans!
family service and I love it, every time I come to New Orleans I stop by the COCO HUT.
I love this place always reminds me of the island.
The best Jamaican/Caribbean you'll get in New Orleans
The food is awesome. The service is sassy and sweet. I can't wait to go back!!!

Coco Hut is real deal authentic Caribbean food. I had the Jerk Salmon and it was the best… It was full of flavor and just the right amount of heat. My husband and son ordered the jerk chicken and it was so good. The heat is real if your one who likes it spicy (My husband) he was sweating while eating it and loved it. Their sides were so good. I love the greens, the flavor was lovely, and the homemade dressings for the salads were amazing. They also do in house teas…. So good. I can’t wait to go back to New Orleans to visit this place. Put this restaurant on you “ To do list.”
On my recent trip to NOLA we accidentally stumbled on to this restaurant dragging our many bags of luggage around killing time before our AirBnB was ready several blocks away. We ordered the Jerk Shrimp Wrap. Talk about absolutely amazing!!! ❤️ This will be my first stop when I go back to NOLA for lunch! Loved the heat and spice! These gals got it going on for sure! 🙌🍤🌶🍽
Presentation was on point, very colorful food and flavors meshed well together. A friend bought it for me because as always, he was bragging on the food. From my understanding, it’s a healthy spin on the food but the rice and shrimp weren’t as flavorful without the spicy sauce. The salad was plentiful and really good..I could taste the freshness. I drizzled ranch on the food and it gave it life, no lie. I’ll definitely return and try something else. I recommend!
EVERYTHING was so delicious!! I ordered the salmon jerk plate, hibiscus tea and sweet potato pie. That food was so damn good! Everything was well seasoned and flavorful. Will definitely order from there again!
I was beyond thrilled to find a halal eatery which was also such a great experience! The menu changes every day but they have some staples like the jerk chicken and the wraps. You can sit inside and enjoy the funky Caribbean ambience complete with flags from the world over, photos of Bob Marley and reggae music or you can sit outside and enjoy the neighborhood sights.
The food was delicious and well spiced - we got the chicken jerky with rice and salad and the chicken wrap. We asked for the extra spicy version. It was prepared right in front of us and was fresh. To say that this meal was delicious would be an understatement. So lost were we in the delicious food that for a couple of minutes, we just sat quietly, eating and enjoying our meal. We also got the sugarcane juice to which they added mint and lemon - a nice touch for that humid day.
However the best thing about this place is the owner - her name is Mother Nature and she is a real gem of a person - warm and friendly. She is from the Caribbean and was delighted to learn about my Indian background - she said her grandma was from India and taught her a lot of the cooking techniques from the region - I was super impressed 😊
Totally recommend this place - affordable, great service, great portion size and a very friendly, laid back atmosphere.
The staff is very sweet and attentive. The prices are decent. We had two jerk chicken plates and two drinks it was about 35 bucks. The chicken was flavorful but soooooooo spicy even my rice! Slightly overwhelming but it could have been just one of them days. More bones than chicken too but can't win them all. But overall a place I would say check out!
So delicious. I'm looking forward to being a regular. Try the cane juice, it's amazing. I ordred the whole red snapper meal and Jerk mussels. The plantains were some of the best I've ever had. For more reviews follow my IG @krystles.kitchen
Pearl in New Orleans!! Coco hut is must eat if you are in New Orleans. Food is delicious and filling. The menu has some of the traditional Jamaican dishes you get but they bring a great seafood flair. The seafood is delicious fresh and fun. The staff is welcoming friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is amazing! It’s a place you have to put on repeat list it’s just that great!
The food is always great and there are a number of good vegetarian options on the menu.
I'm telling you this a hidden gem in New Orleans! I has Red Snapper w/yellow rice, steam veggies, and plantains! It was soooo delicious!!! The bathroom doesn't match the food so 4 stars. They need to seriously think about upgrading the bathroom;!
Great food! Try the Jerk Shrimp & Whole Red Snapper. I recommend the cane juice as well, it's refreshing!!
Delicious Caribbean food and big portions. The menu is very different than what is posted on Google. Mainly jerk chicken, shrimp ,or fish; while snapper, fish, or a special. We had a jerk shrimp wrap and jerk chicken wrap at mild spice. There is just mild and hot, no medium so don't ask. The mild still has some heat to it, so if you don't like any spicy foods, this probably isn't the place for you. The food was super flavorful. We also had a mix of the hibiscus and cane juices, they called it and "Aretha Franklin". This was also super good and unique. Minimal seating, just 2 tables outside the shop. You order at the doorway, and sit outside.
“Muva” is always a joy at the restaurant. When I walk in, I feel like I’m at home in my family’s kitchen enjoying a home cooked meal. I had the Jerk Fish Burger. There wasn’t a part of the burger that didn’t have any seasoning. I’ll revisit every time I come to New Orleans.
Absolutely loved this restaurant!! The owner and staff are super welcoming and had an amazing time interacting with them. Halal friendly! Vegetarian options are available as well. Specifically came here for the jerk chicken. It was incredibly delicious. Served with rice and greens. Portion sizes are large. Spice levels vary.. the medium spice was quite spicy for me. Highly recommend coming here not only for the food but the energy of the staff is awesome!!
Staff is attentive. Portion sizes are good. They also have vegetarian options.
Fried plantains were made to order, affordable, and delicious.
Delicious, spicy, fresh. Small hole in the wall with owners from NYC. It's the real deal. The portions were great, beans and rice very tasty, the jerk was so freaking good.
I am from a city where we do Carribean food, and let me tell you, the sister cooking at Coco Hut knows what tf she is doing. 13 Parishes cannot touch this food
