The food is the best part man it is so good at this black owned spot. I just wish it was a full service spot where a waiter came up to you and took the order. You gotta go up to the counter and order then have a seat and you gotta get everything yourself. But it is nice that they take stuff off the table as you are almost done.
The beignets are better than Cafe Du Monde. So delicious. I loved my shrimp and grits and the side of eggs.
Atmosphere was good overall but missing a lil something.
I highly recommend if you love good food to go here and support this black owned spot!
B Sweet Bistro is a local gem! This place was our introduction to the NOLA food scene. You know the food is really good when the locals eat there. We ordered the shrimp po boy, sampler gumbo, and sweet peach tea. We also ordered desserts, a slice of cake and apple cobbler... both were a bit overpriced. However, they were good!
This place is a true gem and a must try, you will go back. The food is very fresh and flavorful. I loved the bang shrimp, the red fish and the steawberry shortcake. Also you will leave full.
100% YES! The customer service was elite on my recent visit while I was in Nola! I checked this place out after seeing it on social media and I am so glad I did. We had the spinach dip, boudin balls, hot sausage lo boy (on a bun) with crawfish loaded fries, and peach cobbler with extra crust… TOP TIER! We were so full we could barely walk. lol bourbon street was a few blocks away so we went there after to walk off some of that deliciousness. Will definitely be returning on my next trip!
My husband and I were in New Orleans for a weekend trip. We found this locally owned gem and couldn’t be more happy about our choice. We visited on a busy Saturday morning and were happy that we were able to be seated immediately. The service was very good and our food came out promptly. We were excited that we got to meet the owner Ms. Brittany (sp). We were even more excited when we returned to our vacation property and chatted about our good visit to B Sweet Bistro with the person who recommended the place to us. (Her name is Brittany as well.) We found out that the owner of this restaurant is a true philanthropist, and gives back to the community in many many ways.
The food definitely was yummy. I had the chicken and waffles and my husband had a sandwich called the French Chic (French toast sandwich with cheese, eggs and chicken tenders-sprinkled with powdered sugar. We shared some beignets!
Definitely going back. I’m gonna try the gumbo when I do-I’ve heard stories!
I went here early to beat the crowd because of Tik Tok 🤣. We ordered the Fried Catfish and grits, French toast and a the sandwich was a sausage patty but with a creole flavor🤯 eggs and cheese on French bread. 🔥🔥🔥. I almost order another sandwich to-go because it’s that good. Everything was seasoned to perfection, they don’t skimp on portion sizes, the staff was friendly and the environment was clean and vibrant. We tried to go back for dessert later in the day but they were closed😭. Definitely will go back!!
Let me start by saying the owner and her staff are SO sweet and welcoming! I ordered for Thanksgiving and when I say those were the best sweet potato pies I've ever had!!! And don't get me started on that cookies and cream slice. I will be back, and you should definitely visit!
Great food full of flavor. Friendly staff. You have to stop here while in NOLA! Had the seafood gumbo, shrimp and grits, and strawberry stuffed cheesecake. Absolutely fantastic!
The B Sweet Bistro & bakery is a very attractive spot with a stylish interior. The pastry we have had is very good and they have a wide variety of treats. The service is a bit slow and unconcerned which is a shame in an otherwise really neat place. Overall it is worth a visit even if you need to stand in line.
The things I've heard about this place are one million percent true!! The Redfish Rampart was delicious and had the right amount of kick! I can't wait to get home and try the Praline & Cream Extreme dessert. It was the last slice left, so I KNOW it's going to be good.
The owner is a sweetheart, don't pass this gem of a restaurant by...
This was a TikTok find. Absolutely loved this place. We were greeted by Brittney before we even got into the door. Absolutely love the atmosphere. Such a cute and girly vibe. BEST GUMBO I have ever had. The Po’Boys are were super fresh & great, and the wings were huge, crunchy & juicy. I definitely give the food a 10/10. It’s a bit small on the inside, but that doesn’t matter when the food is that good. The people there were super sweet, especially the owner. She took the time to come over to our table to ask us about our experience. Will definitely be back.
Ms. Brittany treated us like royalty! The food and service were 5 star! Support local business owners. This was a wonderful experience. Will definitely be back for more.
Wow. Where can I begin? This was my first time visiting New Orleans and my best friends grandmother (a local) recommended that we try B Sweet because I was determined not to leave without gumbo. Out of all the various places I ate and drank this was the best! I had the gumbo and it was superb. Excellent presentation. I also tried the fried fish (seasoned to perfection! No sauce needed). My friends enjoyed the cobbler so much that before we headed back to Texas, we came back just to get another cobbler. And to top it off, when I returned they remembered my name. I will certainly be back! I’m looking forward to visiting this special place again.
This Food was Incredible! B was a very good host! I can’t wait to go back! That Redfish W/Crawfish Pasta AMAZING!!! Gumbo on point
My gf and I were in N.O. For Pride this past weekend, and while sightseeing we walked past this place. We had just eaten, so we said we would come back next day. I’m so glad we made our way back. The seating is cozy, and they were packed with a wedding party, but the staff acknowledged us right away and made room for us. We ordered shrimp & grits, crawfish queso, and red fish & grits. All three dishes were amazing! The owner took our order to get it started even before we ordered and the food was hot and ready by the time we were seated. We will definitely return the next time we’re in town.
The food, the laughter, the fun!!! This place is a hidden gem! My sister and I went today and had a BLAST! The owner is sooooo much fun and so welcoming. Her staff is very kind and attentive. AND THE FOOD!!! Every bite was sooooo delicious. I have been eating gumbo 42 years, and the gumbo here by far leads the pack! I am so glad we found this spot. We will definitely be back!
Visited New Orleans for the first time because of my curiosity about the food/culture. Popped in here by chance the last day of my visit- and it made a lot more sense when I had their Gumbo that THIS is the gumbo people sing about! I had ordered it elsewhere and was content with the experience...but having the Gumbo at this restaurant told me I was now having the authentic thing! Many thanks to the owner & Chef.
Great food and service! Fried wings and catfish, fries, and seafood gumbo! The owner is very personable! The peach cobbler with extra crust is AMAZING!
I pass this place everyday and decided to stop by today. Locally owned spot in the city! I ordered gumbo + wedding cake. My gumbo was great— definitely real New Orleans style and not the fake, touristy gumbo you find around the city. The cake was pretty good— feel if I would’ve gotten a fresher piece it would have been better, however still super tasty. Service was great! No complaints.
