Super cozy Italian restaurant. It was good food, many kinds of pizzas. The pizzas were baked in a real pizza oven. The pizza crust was on the thin side. Definitely recommended.

What a taste of Italy. The pizza is athletic and the Italian Beer selection is amazing. They serve it correctly. I will definitely be back. Give it a try. They have inside and outside seating.

Best pizza in NY! The marguerita is very tasty and the pizza alla Nutella is the perfect dessert. Besides that the place is cozy and as informal as it should be.

We went there for our son birthday. He is the one who picks this place. He loves all the pizzas, tiramisu, chocolate tratufo. Desserts itself are great. Don't forget their cappucino is excellent.

Sottocasa is one of the best pizza places in all of NY. If you’re worried that a trip to Harlem is “too far” you should reconsider. It doesn’t matter what pizza you order, you will enjoy it. Everything is delicious! The staff are friendly, the vibe is lovely, and the food is delicious! They have an extensive craft beer list and the beer bottle come out in a bucket of ice. Overall it’s an incredible place and needs to be highlighted because it’s too good not to share with others! Will be back 100%

This is the best TRULY ITALIAN pizza in NYC. It is no different than if you ate it in Napoli. I have had it in Napoli and had it here & it is the exact same. It’s also undeniably the best gluten free pizza in NYC. What a gem! The staff are warm, welcoming & attentive. The vibe of the restaurant is perfect. The wine is great. We are so lucky this is in our neighborhood! And a great back room for small private parties. I am dairy free too & waiting for the day they offer a dairy free mozzarella! ;)

Pro: Authentic Italian pizza (a little soggy in the center) but i love it, crust filled with airpockets and thin. They use reL mozzarella and fresh products Con: They only sell by pie no slices. They serve wine, cocktails and sangria but no open bar I recommend others to try you might fail in love

I rarely review restaurants, as I’m rarely impressed by the food I eat in restaurants. Sottocasa deserves to be known by all foodies out there, so I really hope after reading this you settle on Sottocasa. All my friends (even the difficult ones) and I were all pleasantly impressed by the wood fired pizza. I personally had the Reginella pizza with a Rughetta salad, and I melted down after every single bite. From the dough to the mozzarella, every single ingredient exploded with flavor. There is no doubt the chefs uses the best ingredients they can find in New York! My feelings while eating are just indescribable! The last time I felt this while eating a pizza, I was visiting my family in Napoli. This is a must-try little gem! The atmosphere feels warm and cozy from the moment you walk down the stairs. The staff is welcoming and very friendly. They also have an impressive selection of imported Italian beers. The Nazionale was delicious! Please go; you won’t regret the trip to South Harlem!

Best Naples style pizza you can have in the city! Reminds me of the award-winning pizza I had in Italy. The dough is perfectly fluffy and crispy at the same time. But when the pizza comes out of the oven, have it immediately, every second it cools down, the tip of each slice gets a bit more soggy from the delicious sauce of the toppings. The Laura is our new favorite! But everything we have tried is divine.
