I stopped in here on a busy Sunday afternoon prior to seeing a show nearby. Although it was crowded, I immediately sat at the bar. Service was attentive. They gave me a plate of fresh bread with olive oil and olives. After reading another review on this site, I ordered the risotto, which was fabulous. A wonderful blend of cheese and mushrooms
One of the nicest restaurants in New York
We had a great dinner with 7 people at this lovely restaurant. The food was great and the service, of Susanna and Shalim, was excellent! I really recommend the risotto.
My friend recommended olio and BOY am i grategul he did everything was perfect my Server Ilir i believe was his name was perfect everything he recommended was espectacular I had the Carbonara and I reccomend this place to everyone.
We have been here in July 22 2018 Service was great, the dishes were above expectations and the desert was the best. Wonderful evening for date, special occasion or just night out.
I never wrote reviews but In this case I can just say perfect, perfect & once again perfect! Food is awesome, stuff is so nice and respectful! My server was Susana and she was really professional describing all courses one by one and make us really enjoy this dinner! Thanks once again Susana we will come back for sure!
Fabulous Find!
Stumbled upon this fabulous place only to be blown away by the delicious food and amazing service from Victoria! We enjoyed sitting outside on a beautiful evening. Highly recommend!

Lucky me, I again was invited with Olio e Più’s social media guru for brunch on a Sunday midday. We started with a classic brunch bloody Mary’s then moved on to their fairly new specialty cocktails. My friend had the Bergamotto martini with Italicus Rosolio, vodka, dry vermouth and cardamom ($15); I indulged in the fumo di morra ($15), a smoky blend of a single village mezcal, crème de Muré, lemon cordial and fresh basil. I recommend mine, especially if you’re a mezcal lover like me.
Had a lovely meal in the evening - four of us all together. The food was really good, nice oven-baked pizza. However, one of the waiters was a bit too keen to clear our plates without asking whether we had finished or not, so lost marks for that.
Came here by accident with my daughter on a cold March afternoon while in the West Village
Had the lunch special Margherita Pizza & Tomato bisque. Just what we needed.
Service was good and the venue very cosy.
Will return when in NY again.
A really nice place!. Simply, this restaurant is the only true gourmet oasis in the Village!
The tasteful selection of pizzas, pastas and brunch specials, combined with great wine list is perfectly tailored for every occasion and mood. Well decorated in "Old Tuscany House" style interior, 24/7 availability, reasonable prices and restaurants' impeccable, polite and extremely friendly stuff will make your day! It certainly made ours!
We highly recommend this beautiful place :)
Great pizza, quick and delicious. Late afternoon and starving. It looked a bit touristy but not so. Very good pizza, best margarita I have had for years. Thin crust, generous serving of mozzarella and basil. Yum. Great vibe due to the location, unfortunately the ice cream offered for dessert not really to our liking, not much imagination in the flavours on offer.
Average servive, great pizza! Had the trevigiana! Try it! Would come again.
Le pizze sono bravi, buoni e belli! As one of the latest entrants into NYC's pizza Napoletana race Olio e Piu does not get lost in the pack. Its beautifully constructed oven works in tandem with the well trained pizzaioli to put out some delicious, well thought out pies. There's an interesting mix of traditional pizze and some pretty creative ones that range from "glad they thought of that combo" to Really? The Mezzaluna pizza/calzone is a delicious party with guests smoked mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and arugula on the pizza side (which is 3/4 of the deal) and ricotta and salame in the calzone part. Then there's the Americana with hotdogs and fries? ?? I didn't sample it this time, but maybe at 2am I could overlook the high degree of blasphemy in the face of the pizza gods. But perhaps the most interesting feature of the place is the palpatations of the city's heartbeat that can be felt underfoot. Olio e Piu sits directly over a subway line which results in some rather surprising tremors while dining. So Olio e Piu might be under estimating themsleves as just "oil & more" as the name suggests because they are much, much more than olive oil.
A step above.... Despite mixed reviews, my experience at Olio was exceptionally delicious. The margherita extra pie had a brilliantly charred and fluffy crust that tore gently with each bite, cooked evenly from crust to tip, with bubbling mozzarella clouds floating on a sea of robust and tangy san marzano tomato sauce, glistening with drizzles of fresh olive oil with a kiss of sea salt and a slight whisper of oven-crunchy fresh basil. In my opinion, it was tastier, more fragrant, and more delicate than the pies of competitors like Keste & Motorino. Not to mention the fact that the menu is rounded out with several other options for entrees and antipasti (we loved both the savory tagliatelle in bolognese sauce with a dollop of ricotta, as well as the egglant rollantini--paper thin slivers of oven baked eggplant wrapped around columns of smoked mozzarella). Furthermore, unlike competitors, the dining room is spacious, with a rustic and welcoming ambiance. The only downside was the slowness of service. For a pizza that takes 90 seconds to bake, there's really no good reason why we waited over 45 minutes for our pies, regardless of how packed the dining room was... All things considered, however, if you want to savor authentic arisan pizza, yet in a proper restaurant that echoes the character of the village, then Olio would be tough to beat.
Do you ever get so behind a restaurant that you don't want to admit that anything else could possibly be as good? I spend a lot of time at Motorino, a pizza restaurant that is conveniently located next door to my current apartment in the East Village. The
We celebrated a friend's birthday here. it was great. The food was amazing and the service was great too. Gustavo was our server - Thank you for your hospitality. All the staff were great from the hosts down to server's assistants. Def recommended.
PS noise level is high but esp when it's packed but overall everything was good.
When you come, ask for Gabriel - he was the most helpful and genuine waiter. Went as far as recommending different pastas and appetizers. We came on a Wednesday night and it was PACKED so be sure to make recommendations beforehand.
This food was remarkable! New York Italian can be a hit or miss, but the homemade pasta was spectacular! Service was great! Davidson was attentive and offered fantastic suggestions. We went around 3 so not as bust as I'm sure lunch and dinner would be.
Our night at Olio was first a dinner, and then drinks with friends so I'll start with the first and then comment on the second.
The service throughout the night was really great. From the host, servers, bartenders, they all crushed it. The food itself was good but was missing that extra something. The pasta consistency was great but the flavors were just ok.
The drinks though, WOW. Cocktails, great. Wine, great. The Giardino, WOW. Between the six of us, we tried a bunch of stuff and every single thing was awesome.
Food looks beautiful and amazing. Too bad it lacked the flavor. It was very unfortunate. The carbonara lacked the flavor you’d expect from a traditional carbonara. It was Very bland. The other dish with the red sauce, that one was good, I cleaned the plate. The bread with the ricotta was delicious, nice crunchy outer layer with a fluffy inside. The pasta on both dishes were cooked to perfection.
The place is very nice, staff is very friendly and attentive. Our server provided recommendations and was very helpful.
I came here during restaurant week. The atmosphere was pretty nice, I love the decoration. The service was great, waiters and waitresses were attentive and prompt. For starters I ordered the ricotta toast, the bread was crunchy and just right. Next I ordered the Caesar salad, although the flavors were good I could tell the salad had been sitting for a while. Next up my partner ordered the carbonara; the pasta noodles were too Al dents for our liking and it tasted bland. As for me I ordered a chicken dish; the chicken was moist and cooked to perfection, however it was bland, there was only a light touch of salt on the skin and that was it. The vegetables that came with the chicken dish were probably my favorite thing.
THE BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO.... The restaurant gets the vibe of every guest from old to young people. The staff gave the best service, Jose explained all our menu question and the manager suzzana made sure that we experience the full service every guest wants. The food comes on time with the best quality of ingredients! It's my first time coming to olio e piu and definitely not my last.🥰
I was there a little over a week ago. Our server was Gabi S.(inside the main dining area) & Omar (at the bar) and they provided exceptional service. We ordered champagne, BURRATA MEDITERRANEO, SPAGHETTI CARBONARA, TROFIE AL PESTO, and EVERY Dessert on the menu. The Panna Cotta and Tiramisu were the best desserts. All the food was delicious. Pasta was perfectly cooked, and as authentic as you could get without being in Italy. The atmosphere was very quaint and inviting. We had multiple cocktails and they were all great. The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable experience. I believe the manager is Susan, and she was so kind and attentive to all the customers. Overall, 10/10. I’m looking forward to visiting again. One of the best things of my NYC visit.
We had Gokce as our server for my birthday dinner. She was so kind and caring for our table. Her service just added so much to the beautiful atmosphere of the restaurant it was such an amazing experience overall. We ordered bruschetta tricolor, fritto Primavera for our appetizers. The ricotta was unimaginably good. We also got carbonara and ricotta ravioli. The sage sauce was beyond greatness. They had Hugo spritz as cocktail of the week which was just beyond excitement and amaretto sour was one of the best ones I have ever had. We also got their Campagnolo Bianca pizza and the combination of prosciutto and Arugula on pizza is so delicious. Their tiramisu is one of the best tiramisus I have ever had. The service and the atmosphere was truly impeccable. Thank you Gokce!
This evening, my experience was nothing short of remarkable, thanks largely to our server, Gokce, from the moment we were seated, she provided top-notch service that was both professional and personable.
What really stood out was her attention to detail. She remembered each of our dietary preferences and made knowledgeable recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. Despite the busy atmosphere, (We could’ve been antsy but) she ensured our glasses were always full and pay attention to detail, and each course was served timely and with a warm smile.
Moreover, her ability to anticipate our needs without being intrusive added a layer of comfort to our meal. It was evident that Gokce not only has a passion for the culinary arts but also genuinely cares about my experience.
I had rare top notch experience and definitely come back for the food and service! Thanks to her<3 (Cocktail that she suggested was also really good❤️)
