Without a doubt, this is the best bagel I've ever tasted! Crafted from scratch, these bagels achieve perfection. The variety of options, both in terms of bagel selection and spreads, is extensive. Although it did take nearly 45 minutes to navigate the line, the wait was more than justified. The staff's excellence is truly commendable – they handle the bustling atmosphere with remarkable ease and ever-present smiles. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!
Probably one of the best bagels I have ever had .. we got here around 8 and just missed a long line. Quick service though .. has the lox bagel with everything bagel and fig and honey cream cheese on the pumpernickel bagel ….. and oh wow the coffee was surprisingly so good !!! I wish we had time to come back for more !!! It was so delicious - they give a good amount of cream cheese to bagel 🥯

If you are thinking of getting some bagels for breakfast or lunch on a Saturday morning, Tompkins Square bagels has you covered. They serve breakfast all day, have some limited seating, and Tompkins Square Park is right across the street. They are a classic bagel establishment with lots of bagel and cream cheese options (including some vegetarian ones). Do not be deterred by long lines as it moves surprisingly quick. Overall, I would recommend this spot if you are in the neighborhood.
Delicious bagels. We ordered “off menu” and just got a bagel with 2 eggs, bacon (or sausage) and cheese. We liked the Everything bagel a lot. We liked the bacon sandwich better than the sausage.
They have tons of cream cheese choices and lots of vegan options.
At 7:20, it was not super busy, but waited around 10 minutes for the bagel to be ready.
Ordered an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, untoasted. the bagels are top-notch...nice crust/exterior and firm chewy inside that is easy to bite through...there is nothing like the variety of flavors on the outside of an Everything bagel that gets punched up with some creamy scallion cream cheese! There’s a ton of seating here but be patient bc most times there's always a line. Always super friendly service. If bagels and cream cheese aren’t your thing, there are plenty of savory bagel sandwich options from the grill as well as baked items.

I got a "Murray the Cop" bagel. They have a huge list of sandwiches. It was hard to pick. The line didn't look big on Friday, but there were still about 20 people in front of me inside the shop. The bagels themselves are made by hand in the shop. They are worth the wait. We picked up some extras to take home.

Delicious bagel place! Line was out the door but it moved fast. Worth the wait. My bagel was perfect! Could tell they make them fresh everyday. Only downside is they took my order before I got to the specialty cream cheese display. Might have tried the espresso or birthday cake flavor.
Never a bad time at Tompkins Square Bagels! Always freshly baked and delicious bagels. Tons of spreads and toppings. Creative preparations as well! Highly recommend to check out!
Delicious bagels! I had the bacon, egg, and cheese with avocado on an everything bagel and it was amazing. I think the picture really speaks for itself! Will definitely come back next time I am in NYC!
This place is amazing! Not sure if I would wait in crazy long lines for these bagels, there are plenty in NYC, but I got lucky and with almost no line at weekday 10am got mine.
Tofu cream cheese selection is great. I got tofu sun dried tomato cream cheese and it was awesome. With coffee and small bw cookie payed $13.
Would definitely come back for the sweet cream cheese.
The sourdough bagel with scallion cream cheese and Lox is undefeated. Easily the best bagel I’ve ever had! Great hospitality as well. The general manager makes the effort to check in with you and see how everything is going. We appreciated everything about the place! Definitely a bucket list bagel.
Easily the best bagels I've ever had. We came here for breakfast and the shop was quite busy. Despite the long line the workers are very fast and efficient at what they do so it moves quickly. Service was excellent. In addition, despite the fast service the bagels did not take a hit in quality at all. They were fresh, soft and delicious. You can get any typical bagels you would like here, including begal sandwiches. They also have a variety of unique cream cheeses to try including an espresso flavour that kind of tastes like desert (in a good way).
so many tofu spreads making it such a good vegan options place - I got recommended to try everything bagel and it didn’t disappoint 10/10

Best bagel I had in New York! Fantastic variety, a bit of a queue when we went but the staff were super efficient and our order was ready by the time we reached the till - would highly recommend.
Absolutely delicious place to get any type of bagel your heart desires. They have a wide variety of cream cheese and toppings and the taste is unparalleled! Plus they do offer inside sitting which is great.

There's usually a line here and it's easy to see why. I'm a tourist and this was a worthy stop in NYC.
I ordered the whole wheat bagel with plain cream cheese because I wanted to go simple. It did not disappoint. The fresh cream cheese was light, fluffy, and less tangy than the store bought. I'm spoiled now.
My friend let me try the bacon chive cream cheese and it was so, so fresh. What a difference!
I also bought a fruity pebble fruit loop rice krispie treat for my son. There are other tasty goodies like lemon bars.
Even if they had just the gazillion types of bagels and fresh toppings, this place would still be awesome. They are pup friendly and I'll give a paw-out to the adorable ruby cavalier KCS Willa whose human gave me the fabulous recommendation above.
