Very accommodating staff. Got there so much earlier than our reservation time, and seated after 10-20 min wait. The place was packed during lunch time and very tight between tables with a clear plastic divider. It's smart to do that to separate the tables while conserving the space for more tables. Food was good, we finished all our food. Drinks were strong. If you haven't tried up Thai, you must go and try but be prepared for the tight space. Staff were very attentive with refilling our water, love it. Will def be going back again in the future

This place is awesome and now among my favorite Thai spots in the city. Though judging from how packed it was at 2pm this past Sunday, it ranks highly on a lot of people’s lists. If going during prime time, best make a reservation to avoid disappointment. The place has a wonderfully cozy atmosphere, friendly service and amazing food - which they will adjust according to your spice tolerance. What I especially like is that they have a few less common dishes along with a menu of seasonal specials and everything we had was exceptional. Highlights on this last visit included a duck that came out perfectly crispy in a nice southern style curry and the mango salad which was wonderfully fresh and flavorful. I’ll be back!

Came in on Monday for lunch at this place after reading the reviews. It was quite busy, but not overly crowded so I was seated immediately because I was one person. For my meal, I went for the lunch special, which offered a variety of choices. As an appetizer, I got the ginger salad and chive pancakes. Both dishes were absolutely delightful. The salad is simple with a delicious dressing, while the pancakes were served as two small crispy triangles with a sauce on the side. Yum! Moving on to the main course, I ordered the chicken pad Thai. It was decent, though I felt it lacked a bit of flavor. Personally, I would explore other options next time. However, the portion size was more than generous, leaving me satisfied. The interior had a pleasant and cozy atmosphere. The service was good too so I would revisit to try something else.

Up Thai was such a great dining experience. We took seats at the bar and were served quickly. The bartenders were so sweet and attentive. The food and drinks were absolutely declined. I can’t wait to come back again and try new menu items.

Reservation accepted but all parties need to be present to be seated. Regardless if you have reservation, unless they are not busy. Small but cozy environment. Enjoyed the Pad See EW and Pad Thai. The place gets packed.

Great experience! The spring rolls were crisp, and the masaman curry was a delightful blend of flavors. Curry puffs are the best! You have to try also the corn soup! The overall dining experience was excellent, and I highly recommend trying these dishes. Great food and a satisfying culinary experience!

This is my fourth time coming here and this time with my parents. We absolutely love here and all dishes are great! Short rib panan is my go to and the Tom Kha soup is also great! They also have seasonal winter menu. One of the best Thai restaurant you could find in the City. Also thanks Bob as our server!

I love this place. The food is so good. Every dish I ordered was so delicious. Only the Thai tea was too sweet. Definitely recommend the Thai wings(sweet and a bit spicy, so special and yummy), beef short rib(very soft and I love the sweet and creamy soup, the vegetables inside were so good) and Clay pot fried rice (omg try it, the sausage and chicken inside was amazing; sweet). For some reason, the beef was so much smaller than the last time I ate it. Sad, I love it a lot.

I went a couple of weeks ago and loved the food and service. We ordered Pad sew ew broad noodles w/ chicken and it was delicious, curry puffs-and spring rolls. Basil Thai rice which I thought was okay. Ordered lychee ice tea which is a must not too sweet not to blend. We ordered some drinks out of the menu and when we told they weren’t up-to the standards they were kind enough to not charge us.

If you are in the craving for Thai food, this is a nice option in the Upper East Side. The portions are generous and the relation quality/value is very good. Pad Thai, Crispy Duck and Fried Rice are nice tasty. Service is cordial

This place is extremely nice. Great food, amazing service, and very good atmosphere. The food was delicious, as well as the drinks, and the staff were very attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend Up Thai to anybody looking for good Thai food in NYC. Furthermore, the dining area is very well-decorated and comfortable. In all, me and my family definitely enjoyed our experience here.

We had excellent service from our waiter Bob. We went here on an impulse search. The food was a delicious surprise - definitely had a kick to it if you like the spicy. Very cute for a date night or hanging out with friends. Highly recommend for your Thai nights.

Great food at the restaurant, along with great service from Gunn. We ordered the Pad See Yew — definitely recommend that. The duck was great too, but perhaps some sauce on the side would’ve elevated the dish. I loved the tofu in the soup but the coconut broth wasn’t for me. Besides that though, I’d easily recommend this spot. Great ambience as well!

We discovered this restaurant just recently and so happy we did. We liked it so much and we definitely will come back. The staff is very friendly and polite. We came shortly after the opening time and the place got filled with customers right away. By the time we were leaving , people were waiting to get in there. The food was very very good, very fresh and tasty. And prices are reasonable.

Fantastic thai restaurant! Highly recommend the lunch special. I had green curry tofu + salad + deep fried spring roll. So delicious. Food came out quick and had great flavor. Will definitely go back again. Lunch seems to fill up quickly so arrive early for a guaranteed spot.

Love the decorations and food, I am a big fan of Thailand food and have been to Thailand twice. Great memories! I prefer the clay pot and beef curry. We order too much for two people and we pack up for take home.

We had a great lunch at Up Thai! The ambiance is very cozy and aesthetic and the service was very warm and kind. Our server Up was very attentive and pleasant. My husband and I both got lunch specials where you can get a soup or salad, an appetizer, and an entree for around $16 each! It’s a great deal. I got the Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) which is my favorite noodle dish. The flavor was great and the noodles were well done. My husband got a similar noodle dish. Would definitely recommend coming here for some solid Thai food!
