I got 2 donuts; the glazed and the maple cruller. The glazed was decent, the maple was ridiculous. One of the best donuts I have ever had and it is definitely worth going especially if you are nearby. They are made in small batches so quality is top notch!
We've been coming here for years, and decided we needed them for our wedding dessert. They did not disappoint! We thought we had ordered too many doughnuts, but only ended up taking home a few. Our guests loved them so much, especially The Bronx, cinnamon roll, and The Manhattan Cream. We love stopping by for their weekend special flavors because they crush it every time when they think outside the donut box. Thanks providing awesome donuts, see you soon!
As someone who's never been a fan of donuts, The Donut Project in New York managed to change my perspective entirely, thanks to their incredible Maple French Cruller. I reluctantly decided to give it a try, and wow, was I blown away! The unique combination of flavors and the light, delicate texture of the cruller won me over instantly. It's not just a donut; it's a culinary masterpiece. The Donut Project has turned this skeptic into a believer. If you're like me and haven't been a donut enthusiast, this place might just change your mind!
First time trying Doughnut Project, and it won't be our last. We tried the Lemon Love Letter, and the glaze was perfection. The lemon flavor really stood out, but wasn't overpowering. The doughnut was nice and soft. Definitely coming back!
The Doughnut Project is open from 9am till 2pm. I stopped by on. Thursday afternoon around 1:30pm and this was what they had left. The donuts were delicious. I got the Lemon Love Letter and Milk and Cereal. The Milk & Cereal donut was vegan and you got the flavors of cereal. It was a crispier donut but there was still softness on the inside. The Lemon Love Letter donut definitely delivered on the lemon flavor. The donut was soft and fluffy. If you’re a donut lover and haven’t checked this place out, add it to your list.
I was so curious about the cinnamon roll donut so I will be back.
We tried a lot of doughnuts in NYC and these are the best so far. Fresh of course, but first and foremost, tasty.
The lady who served us was the most gracious I have met in this city. I wish we could have more people like her 🩵
We ordered through a delivery service and requested coffee creamer and a knife and did not receive either. The brownie batter donut was good, but too rich for our tastes. The lemon was donut was good and I enjoyed the beet and ricotta donut. The cinnamon roll was very good!
Without doubt the best doughnut I've ever eaten in my life!
Theres plebty to choose from, and they do limited time doughnuts too! But we chose from their staple menu: I had the brownie batter doughnut, and my partner had the lemon and poppy seed doughnut. Both of them were absolutely amazing!
If you're ever in NYC, and in want of a doughnut, be sure to slide round to this place because you won't be disappointed.
Step down a small side street and you'll find this gorgeous donut-filled cave, with all kinds of recipes you couldn't imagine... Flavours include blueberry and lavender, rhubarb, maple or creme brulee donuts...
The Manhattan cream donut was simple and well executed with bitter chocolate balancing the sweet cream filling. The peanut butter and jelly donut, the owner's favourite, was all that it promised to be with ample amounts of gooey filling liable to spill all over your boyfriend's leather jacket and a delicious tart berry icing.
A passion project of a cafe that stands out for its original flavours. You can feel like you're taking part in a giant donut experiment. As the owner said, 'they're all delicious' - I bet she's right!
Love the vegan options! If you’re looking for that deep fried cake donut that you loved as a child (shout out to the best gas station donuts in the Midwest), you can find it at the Doughnut Project.
I ordered a chocolate sprinkle and a cinnamon one and loved them both but holy moly, they were quite greasy, so be prepared. Perhaps I’m more of a raised donut kind of gal, but of course I still enjoyed them 😋
There were 4 or 5 vegan options when I went around 1pm on a Saturday. Chocolate sprinkles, cinnamon, cereal milk crunch, and a fruit flavored one that I can remember. The vegan flavors listed online were not in to date, so def stop by to see what they’ve got!
