Beautiful classy place. Every dish was amazing. I was a bit taken back on the portion one night on the octopus First night I went I was very pleased on the portion of the octopus then when I came back 2 nights later with a friend to try the portion size was very small. It was still delicious but for the pricey appetizer it definitely should have been more like the first night I came. Anyway the Greek salad and the spinach pie were very tasty.

The restaurant was amazing! Decor was simple, serene and beautiful. Our waiters in the White Room were so attentive and helpful. We loved every dish. We love Greek food but this was a definite sophisticated twist. Duck baklava with cherry, spicy feta spread , grilled octopus with chickpeas and octopus and veal stifafo and my favorite, short rib meatballs. Deserts and martinis are excellent. We will recommend and absolutely return.

Probably the best Greek Restaurant I've ever been too. Great to see someone trying modern Greek food with a twist. Octopus, Stuffed Squid, Spinach Pies and the Pink Snapper to share are all delicious. Highly recommend if you love good food and don't mind paying a bit for it :)

A wonderful dining experience. Well trained staff from the moment I walked in. Marvelous food. Let us taste several wines to find the right one. Waiter was beyond great, passionate about the Chef's approaches to each dish, listened and made perfect recommendations. We ate upstairs, loved the environment, lighting, and how the entire team supports each other.

Excellent food and a very extensive wine list. The sommelier was really helpful. We wanted to try a Greek wine but don't know Greek wines at all. But we found the perfect one!

Quand ta fille de 9 ans mange avec appétit des épinards, de l'agneau, du saumon et de la pieuvre, c'est une réussite totale. Le service est accommodant et sympathique. Les conseils sur les apéros et le vin étaient dans le mille. On y retourne à notre prochain séjour! Merci! Quel régal!

Nerai Greek restaurant in Midtown Manhattan is an absolute gem for anyone seeking a delightful culinary experience. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with an inviting ambiance that sets the stage for a memorable meal. The food at Nerai is nothing short of exceptional. Their menu showcases the rich and diverse flavors of Greek cuisine, with a modern twist that truly elevates each dish. Whether you're a fan of traditional Greek or looking to explore new flavors, Nerai has something for every palate. The freshness of the ingredients is evident in every bite, and the kitchen's skillful preparation shines through in every dish. I loved the branzino and what they call crackers. Also the Greek salad was delicious! One standout aspect of Nerai's dining experience is the impeccable presentation. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu.

Nerai is amazing- elevated Greek food in NYC. From the moment you enter the doors, you're greeted with warmth and kindness. I dined with my family including my elderly mother, and the service was so helpful and accommodating while not being stifling. We ate inside, but the outside seating looks magical, definitely would have opted for an outdoor table if I was with friends. The food was incredible. This might have been one of the best lamb chops I've had in NYC. The whole roasted fish was fresh and cooked perfectly, I could eat it for every meal. Thank you Nerai, we will be back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nerai, a Greek restaurant located in the heart of the city. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that immediately made me feel at home. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a modern twist on traditional Greek elements. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the design, from the elegant lighting fixtures to the comfortable seating arrangements. It's clear that the owners have put a lot of thought into creating a space that is both visually appealing and inviting. Now let's talk about the food. The menu at Nerai offers a wide variety of traditional Greek dishes, all made with the freshest ingredients. From the classic moussaka to the mouthwatering souvlaki, every dish I tried was bursting with flavor. The presentation of each plate was also impeccable, with vibrant colors and artistic arrangements that truly showcased the culinary skills of the chefs. One standout dish that I have to mention is the grilled octopus. It was perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful, with a smoky charred exterior that added a depth of flavor. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and content. The service at Nerai was top-notch. The waitstaff was attentive and knowledgeable, providing recommendations and answering any questions I had about the menu. They were also efficient in their service, ensuring that my dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. To complement the delicious food, Nerai offers an extensive wine list featuring both Greek and international selections. The sommelier was helpful in guiding me towards the perfect wine pairing for my meal, enhancing the overall dining experience. Overall, my experience at Nerai was exceptional. From the beautiful ambiance to the delectable food and impeccable service, every aspect of my visit exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Nerai to anyone looking for a memorable and authentic Greek dining experience.

Food here was so good it was mind blowing. I’m shocked there wasn’t a line to get in because this is some of the best Greek food in the city. I’m gluten free and the waiter recommended the salmon with a lemon spinach rice, which was amazing and can’t stop thinking about, and some other dishes, and noted almost all the seafood was celiac safe. There are tons of gluten free options. The mushroom and spinach sides are also gluten free as well as the salads sans croutons, so is the raw bar. They also recommended a Greek organe wine that was so delicious I need to save the name. I’m definitely coming back and trying more on the menu because it’s definitely worth returning!

Food and service were top notch! Staff was really knowledgeable and attentive which Gia a huge plus in my opinion. Delicious dishes we tried the Lavraki & Salmon both were exquisite and the drinks were amazing so overall great experience! Tried a few drinks old fashioned was great, smoked banana was exotic and strawberry Basil all were winners. Appetizers were also delicious we had the saganaki and zucchini chips! Definitely worth trying, highly recommend!

It’s great, their food and atmosphere. I had TUNA TARTARE and SEAFOOD ORZOTTO. Especially, seafood orzotto was nice smell from mussels and shrimp then great flavor. Also, orzo was good texture. I love it.

An place for an intimate or business need. Unassuming from the outside, but upon entering you transform into a charming and upscale atmosphere where the food and service is to match. The menu has a modern flare while embracing the origins of traditional Mediterranean basics. Don’t pass up this great place

Very rare to find a restaurant that has 5/5 service and food. Modern Greek cuisine. Indoor and outdoor (seating area) decor transforms you out of the city from the moment you walk in. Service was very on point. Our server was very attentive, gave good recommendations and checked on us every time with a smile. We felt welcomed and not rushed. We got the grilled octopus (tender and flavorful), zucchini chips (delicious and table fave!), fried cheese, Brussel sprouts (this was recommended by our server, this was one of the best Brussel sprouts I've had - next time i come back I'm getting 2), aged steak and lamb were both cooked well and not overcooked. Must leave room for dessert. The yogurt sundae (recommended by server) was our fave. There were a lot of flavors that blended very well together in one bite. The yogurt trio each had a unique taste that was very easy to distinguish. We came on a Sat night and had reservations for 530pm (perfect time if you're able to go early as the restaurant was busy but not packed yet).

"A Memorable Celebration at Nerai for Mom's 80th Birthday" Last weekend, we celebrated my mother's 80th birthday at Nerai and it was an experience we'll cherish forever. The moment we stepped in, we were greeted by the warm ambiance that set the tone for the evening. The restaurant's decor, with its elegant lighting and tasteful furnishings, created a serene environment that was exactly what we were hoping for. What stood out the most was the impeccable service. The staff were attentive yet unobtrusive, ensuring our comfort throughout the meal. They even surprised us with a special birthday treat for Mom, which was a thoughtful gesture that made her feel extra special. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was a masterpiece, both in presentation and taste. The menu offered a variety of options catering to different preferences, and every dish we tried was cooked to perfection. The flavors were balanced and the ingredients were obviously high-quality. One of the highlights was the restaurant's ability to maintain a peaceful atmosphere. Despite being busy, it never felt crowded or noisy. This allowed us to enjoy our conversations and truly celebrate this milestone birthday in a relaxed setting. In summary, Nerai exceeded our expectations in every way. It provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening filled with delicious food, exceptional service, and a tranquil ambiance. It was an absolute delight to celebrate such a special occasion here, and we're already looking forward to our next visit.

surprisingly good restaurant! One of limitation of our group this time was one of my friend is vegetarain so restaurant we go has to have vegetarian option and Nerai has it. I have tried all food, vegie and regular and they were great! quality and service was professional and wonderful. We had salad, drinks, pasta, duck, coffee and dessert. There were a construction and smell near by so they moved us to sit in different table to avoid the unpresented smell. The vibe is good. I have a mix feeling between tourist spot and local spot because this place is in a tourist area but for me as a resident I still go because I was shopping in the area and just want to find some nice place to eat.

I can’t say enough amazing things about this restaurant! Our waitress was Viola. The atmosphere was amazing. The drinks are soooooo delicious and I’m not a drinker. The food, the food, the food, OMG 😍 We had the 2 different shrimp appetizers, the zucchini chips, the Greek salad, the fish, the seafood orzo pasta, the spinach and rice sides and the Greek yogurt dessert. We ate wayyyy more than we wanted to but we could not stop eating. The food was too good. Even the chips and cheese they bring out before you order was so good we asked for more. I wish I asked to take some home lol Now the service..sheesh! They were extremely attentive. I’ve been to many 5 star restaurants and never have I been to one with a staff so attentive. The restaurant was completely packed and still as soon as we filled up our side plates with shrimp tales or anything they were instantly replaced with fresh plates. As we went from one course to another they removed all the plates and gave us fresh knifes and forks. I cannot wait to go back! I want to try everything on the menu. I’m getting hungry just writing this review lol Thank you Viola! Absolutely, absolutely outstanding experience!

Valentine’s Night post. This is one of my go to spots for solid Greek/Mediterranean dishes. It is uptown between park and Madison with close proximity to fifth Ave shops and Central Park. The one thing that I have to highlight is the service over the phone, it is very quick, easy and accommodating. The service was great along with the dishes. The menu was set with two options for the entree: New York strip or halibut. We went with one of each. The halibut was dry and the flavor was very bland. Everything else was fantastic. It was disappointing that a separate cocktail menu was not available at all upon request and only one cocktail was available.

Nerai is good, with a wide variety of options on their dinner menu. We ordered the zucchini chips, the chicken, and the squid ink pasta. The chips were good, the pasta was okay, and the chicken was exceptional. While the food was good, their service was slow, and the food was very expensive. While we enjoyed our visit, we didn't return on this trip to NYC, even though our hotel was across the street.

My mom and l had an amazing experience at Nerai! The food was delicious, you can tell the chef uses the best ingredients because it was fresh and tasty! The Greek wine we ordered was amazing! Divine bland of native Greek grapes! Their wine list is very well done and offers lots of options, but l love Greek wines and would highly recommend them! The service was very friendly and attentive. I hope to dine at their beautiful patio soon!

Food, service, and dining vibe were all great. Good for friends and family gatherings. TUNA TARTARE potato kataifi, tarama espuma & fish roe - fresh and full of textures and flavors. ASTAKOMAKARONADA poached Maine lobster, squid ink linguine metaxa bisque - the sauce was different from most of the classic bisque. I guess it’s made of pumpkin so it was on a sweeter side. ORZOTTO THALASSINO saffron Orzotto, octopus, shrimp, mussels, loukaniko sausage and barley breadcrumbs - my favorite dish of the night. Assorted seafoods were cooked perfectly, especially octopus! LAVRAKI whole-grilled loup de mer deboned, spinach, capers, lemon vinaigrette - classic Greek dish. Great to share.
