Had champagne tea. Service was amazing. Beautiful view of Central Park. The scones with jams and creams were delicious. The open sandwiches were also delicious. The bread on the closed sandwiches were on the dry side and felt like they had sat out for a while. Overall an enjoyable experience.
The Gotham Salad is huge, fresh and delicious. I honestly couldn't eat anything much after. I did have some wonderful sorbet with berries and I think a coffee. The only reason I am giving a four is because I found my server to be very anxious, not rude but definitely hadn't mastered the art of quiet confidence. A confident server makes a big positive difference.
Nice and Cozy Restaurant with amazing view if you have reservations.
You also have a bar service that doesn't require reservation, but 1st come 1st Served. Service is seriously fast.
I ordered Golden Pina( Mocktail), Lobster Bisque, and Lobster napoleon. 🦞
Food tasted good and bartender fid a great job as well.
Do not waste your time trying to get high tea at The Blue box across the street. This IS the place to have it.
Professional service, attentive staff and scrumptious fare, from the amuse bouches (two of them topped with caviar) well assorted sandwiches, and on the sweet side the scone with clotted cream had nothing to envy to their British counterparts.
The only reason I awarded four stars is because the serve ware (my striped porcelain dish) looked a little worse for wear: the gold striped had lost their sparkle and the white center had dark greenish stains probably from repeated washings.
Elegant surroundings, lovely views of Central park and an impecable waiter (Ken).
After roaming through the Bergdorf Goodman store, we stopped for lunch with a view! The food was delicious and their afternoon tea was a real treat! The design was beautiful all the way from the wallpaper to the different water glasses for each person. Definitely a place worth visiting!
This was my first afternoon tea experience and I loved it! The food was amazing, I especially loved the homemade scones ✨, and the view of Central Park was also so beautiful!!
I want to go back for lunch or dinner because everything looked amazing!
Amazing place in the 7th floor of an amazing restaurant overlooking Central Park. Bergdorf Goodman is a staple in New York and eating at their restaurant BG is a real treat. While here I discovered the absolute best and most amazing ice cream I’ve ever eaten. I’ve always been partial to run raisin but this is my new favorite. I’ll be back for this ice cream.
My fiance and I had an incredible experience here recently. They were able to sit us by the window in the lounge area, and we had the pleasure of having Nick as our server. He was so attentive - such a wonderful guy full of personality and laughs. He advised us on most of the things we ordered, and honestly made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant- a feeling almost never replicated even by some of the highest end restaurants in this city.
The food and drinks were great. Just an overall great experience. We’ll absolutely be back soon!
BG Restaurant is one of my favorite places to go for an afternoon tea with a view. It’s located on the 7F of the Bergdorf Goodman - a great place to get a sip during my shopping breaks!
During the weekends it gets quite packed but you can always put your name down and come back when the tables are available. I’d also recommend to always ask for a window seat for the stunning Central Park view.
It has a great view of the southern Central Park and the Plaza Hotel, so if you have guests visiting from out of town, it’s also a nice place to take them. I’ve tried both their dinner and afternoon tea, and most of the food I tried are pretty good, although a little overpriced. Their desserts are amazing and my favorite savory option goes to their deviled eggs and duck dumplings!
I was just there a few days ago, and it seems they now work with Aubi & Ramsa on the ice cream options. Would love to come back again and give it a try!
We celebrated our wedding anniversary with a beautiful and highly memorable high tea experience at BG. Such a special treat with delicious classics such as scones, small sandwiches, chocolate, macarons and lovely tea. We chose to do the service Royale and the champagne was absolutely delicious.
Our server was attentive and kind, treating us to a special afternoon and making us feel very welcome.
It’s a beautifully designed room, I loved the green accents and of course that view of Central Park.
Highly recommend if you want to treat yourself to a special moment with a loved one!
Pretty good restaurant for afternoon tea. It’s not the best in New York City but it’s good value for the money. The place is really busy and tables are so close apart that you think you are eating / drinking with the whole restaurant. They have a good variety of tea selection and they are flexible with the food options. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Good overall ambience and experience.
"The afternoon tea at BG" is always great experience for me. The sweets and sandwiches are delicious. The tea itself is nice as well, you can choose your favorite tea from variety of tea menu.
The view of central park from window is beautiful.
I visited here with my friend and my family, they all enjoyed their time here.
It is better to make a reservation befor you visit, if you want to have an afternoon tea set.
Excellent service and delicious food. The food always comes out quick and hot!! Everything is delicious. I would eat here all the time if I could. They even give my baby a little cake with a candle for his birthday. I love it
A beautiful, elegant room with lovely views of Central Park and also one of the best restaurants in New York. The food and service are always exquisite. Nick at the bar always mixes great cocktails besides being funny and charming.
We never miss a visit to BG when we are in New York.
This was a nice spot for afternoon tea with excellent service. I felt for the price the sandwich bread could've been a bit fresher, they weren't the best I've had. Very expensive per person and seconds were not offered. The scone was delicious and the tea was lovely.
This was my first time going out to tea with my friend. The vibe and atmosphere is calm, relaxing and busy. The tea was really good, this coming from a non tea drinker. Food was good, I felt we could have gotten more for the price we paid.
A gem for the perfect Afternoon Tea experience! Definitely request a seat at the windows!
I went for my birthday with a few friends and was treated to an excellent time. (Including an unexpected gift of strawberry shortcake!) The server was friendly and charming and all the food, tea, and cocktails were excellent.
This is a dining experience I will have every time I am in NYC. Tea was fabulous and dinner was amazing. My daughter said her lobster roll was the best ever. The Croque Madame was superb. The staff is amazing and people watching is a plus.
Would return. The service was great. The food and tea were of great quality. I did think that they were stingy with the scones. Most places give two scones per person. But what annoyed me a little was some inconsistency with how pretty the strawberry shortcakes looked depending on whether it was your birthday or not. They put more effort into plating some other people's dessert than others with more strawberries. Mine looked very sad in comparison. Also, it was extremely packed and the tables are very close together, so I would definitely recommend reservations. There's a great view from the window
