Great place, food was excellent, portions are huge. Loved it and would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good steak.
Service was also great. We didn’t have any reservations so we had to wait for the table for about 20 minutes. We got our drinks at the bar (which were also good) and in about 20 minutes received txt that out table was ready. Waitress was constantly checking how we were doing and asking if we liked the food and if we need anything else. When I asked about different steak options she was able to explain the different between three options that I was considering and I ended up ordering exactly what I wanted.
So I must say again this is a great place with excellent food, drinks and service.
The service was absolutely incredible. We loved it so much we went two nights in a row. Each server was extremely knowledgeable of their menu items and was able to make great recommendations for us. My wife and I agreed we’ve never experienced food of this caliber. Our steaks were done to perfection and the sides were out of this world. I highly recommend the sautéed shrimp, peppercorn steak, lobster mashed potatoes, as well as the Gorgonzola mac ‘n cheese. My sweet tooth has never experienced a dessert like the warm butter cake and cream brûlée. We visit New York every couple months, and I will anticipate returning to this restaurant each time. I would give it 6 stars if I could!
Absolutely loved this place! Came here for my last meal in New York! Ordered the New York Peppered Steak 16oz and didn’t disappoint! Beers were great too and had a very friendly hostess! Will 100% recommend!!
Excellent food and superb service! Steaks are melt in your mouth good. It’s pricey but well with it. I usually don’t eat at the same restaurant twice in NYC, but you can be sure I’ll be back. Theo is one of the best waiters I’ve ever come across
Mastros is ridiculous. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was festive. Bone in strip and filets were some of the best steaks this table of lifelong carnivores ever ate.
Crab stuffed mushrooms, oysters and shrimp cocktail were off the charts. Creamed spinach, Brussels, and scalloped potato’s were off the chain.
Upstairs dining room is jamming with cool live eclectic music. A couple of tables by the kitchen I would avoid. Downstairs is a very mellow serene dining room more appropriate for a serious business dinner or quiet conversation.
Our server Sean was the consummate professional, proffering the sort of friendly, non-pretentious, USF awesome “Danny Meyer-esque” service that in my mind is the new Gold standard.
Prices are high but they should be. L.A./NY reciprocity lives on.
The food was amazing but our waiter was just terrific. I have a cough I can’t get rid of and he brought me hot water with the perfect amount of honey and lemon {without being asked} which worked. Then he sent me home with a doggie bag of lemon and honey. Can’t remember his name {we had multiple conversations going on at the table }but had a beard a a vibrant personality!
We had a great dinner. Beautiful restaurant the ambiance. the music, the great service, efficiency was on point and dinner delicious. Thanks for making a husband birthday a great one. xoxo

Believe it or not I had the best scallops I have ever had here. My husband said the French onion soup was the best he has ever had. My mouth actually waters ever time I tell people about the warm butter cake. It's not just about the food though, it's an experience. There is live music and the service is second to none!!
Peter Luger and now is the time for Mastro’s to switch around and taste for the best steak house in town.

We have eaten at this Mastro's location dozens of times over the years. The food is always excellent and this particular location is absolutely beautiful. You can really never go wrong at a Mastro's. This is one of the best Steakhouse chains in the country, with this establishment in New York City being one of the company's flagship locations. I much prefer this Mastro's to Del Frisco's Double Eagle steakhouse down the street.
Very pricey but worth it. Food was perfectly seasoned. I am a huge proponent of adding extra salt to all meal but in this case all of the dishes I experienced were salted perfectly. The raw oysters came seasoned with cracked pepper.
We went here last night, 11/12, for dinner before a Broadway show. 25th wedding anniversary celebration. The place is beautiful and has fabulous food and drinks. Unfortunately, the level of service was lacking and less than expected when spending $400 on one meal. The server's did not ask about a special occasion. However, the server's support guy was top-notch...wished he was our server instead. The young female server was just okay. She was unfriendly, impersonal, unattentive, and in a hurry to do something else, it seemed. The food was phenomenal, which helped make up for the unfriendly service.
Mastro’s Steakhouse on 6th Ave New York provided me an unforgettable dining experience.
I received very attentive service, they delivered a memorable fine dining experience that will definitely makes me want to visit again!
Did the mention the bread basket, the assortments of the bread was definitely a bread lover heaven.
The drinks was definitely on point….
The atmosphere was beautiful and the live singer while playing the piano offer a wide variety of 80’s music!
Now let’s get into the butter cake…. It was everything and more!!
I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough for its food, hospitality, and atmosphere.
The waiter was great! One of the best I've ever had in a restaurant. We sat downstairs, which was not nice. NYC has a lot of great steakhouses, some even slightly better, but I just love this place!
Our dining experience was extraordinary! Warmly welcomed when we walked through the door, seated immediately even though we were 45 minutes early for our reservation!! The food, presentation and service was exceptional from start to finish. Mastro’s steakhouse is absolutely beautiful inside - warm and inviting. I can honestly say it is the best restaurant I have ever been to, and look forward to many many more visits.!!! So many restaurants these days are so secure in their ratings that they no longer give quality service or food. They seem to take for granted that people will just keep coming back because of their ratings or reputation. Mastro’s is the best of everything ! This was the most refreshing and beautifully orchestrated dinner I have had in many many years. Definitely, you should try it, you will not be disappointed! BRAVO!!!
This place gets very busy so service can be slow. The steak was amazing. For the amount of liquor in the place, their Jack and Coke needs work.
My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary and as always we have a great time at Mastros. Our server was very attentive, helpful, and friendly. The food was delicious and cooked to our liking. My husband ordered the ribeye, crab cakes, & mashed potatoes then I ordered the cold water salmon grilled with lobster mac n cheese. I can't believe I forgot to order veggies on the side. Next time god willing i will remember. Our Anniversary dessert was also good!
Please understand the famous Butter Cake 🍰 is the famous dish on this menu and anytime I went to Las Vegas I was at Mastros Table enjoying there excellent meals. Topped off with the Butter Cake
Came here on my 1YR anniversary. The only pictures I got so sorry in advance lol. The ambiance was very elegant yet friendly. Dim lighting to set the mood. My first time here and was blown away by the service. We got the NY strip, ribeye, mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. This was enough food to feed 4! The serving size was not minimal which I loved because I came HUNGRY! The servers even served our sides right onto our plates and even packaged away the extras for us. The cheesecake was delicious. I would definitely come here for special dinners (bday/ anniversary) but you can also come here for a night out and enjoy drinks which was equally amazing. Mastro’s will be seeing me again.
