Now one of my top restaurants that I have been too. I would suggest doing the 8 course meal. The food and service was exceptional. Would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting the best of the best!

Extraordinary! We had the captain’s tasting menu and the service and every dish was out of this world. Each course was delivered and cleared with choreographed timing by the staff and described in mouth watering detail by the service captain. Each dish was remarkable but the highlight was pasta with browned truffle butter sauce. The simplicity of the platings elevated by the finess of each layer of flavors. Don’t miss this opportunity if you have the chance, the splurge is worth it.

Formal Italian restaurant with romantic ambiance. Excellent service! The cocktails were creative and the five course dinner was very good but not great. Still it's worth the experience. My exact rating would be 4.5 stars.

I visited for lunch. Impeccable service and delicious food; certainly worth the price. The pastas are amazing and their bread with cultured cream was simply heavenly. The space is elegant and wonderful for dates and meetings. The meal is extremely filling, especially with the pasta course added. This restaurant is a must-visit.

Came here to celebrate a birthday. We opted for the Captain’s Menu - 8 course tasting menu. You will be SO full by the end. Service is very attentive. They make sure your glass is full and there is very good timing between the courses. We had 4 servers who consistently took care of us and each dish was explained. They answered any questions we had and even made suggestions. My favorite dish was the black truffle pasta dish (which included a $20 supp per person). It was just delicious. You also get a couple small tasty finger foods to start and the dessert was over the top. We got about 5 different bite sized desserts. I was done. The lighting was good and comfortable. But made it difficult to take pictures. Overall, I had an excellent meal. Although not necessarily a place I would say I need to come back to.

Impeccable service and every dish was nothing but excellent. We came in for the special lunch menu which is by far one of the best value for money options in the city. Alongside the menu 3 course flow, we received a bundle of mouth watering treats - all ended in a 3 hour culinary journey. All that, plus a couple of extra dishes and cocktails ended in ~$110 per person - not cheap, but very worth it.

Del Posto ** Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ** ** Food: ** ** They start you off with Kosher cream which is very delicious and very light. Bread is homemade in house which has a light crisp and fluffy inside! ** ** I ordered the 28-day aged rib eye which is excellent as well, but I would add more crisp sides and also a tad bit of sauce to this dish. Next, I had the pasta dish with the mussels-in it which was amazing and the perfect amount of creamy sauce in it. Lastly, I had another pasta dish which was excellent! Best meal I’ve had in a while. ** ** Dessert: ** ** Their dessert was amazing and can’t go wrong. ** ** Cocktails: ** Dauphine: Excellent- crisp and smooth ** ** Overall, their bartenders are extremely friendly and know how to make an excellent drink. ** ** Atmosphere: Atmosphere is very classy, romantic and calm. I must say, it is very well decorated and if you want to impress a date, this place will do. ** ** Music: classical music which you would hear in a luxurious hotel elevator. The thing I like most is that there is an individual playing the piano. ** ** Customer Service: As you walk in, they greet you from opening the door for you all the way to the front hostess. They are charming and welcoming with a big smile. ** ** Michelin Guide: Yes | 1 star

When you walk in the inside of this restaurant is beautiful. They have a coat check after first doors then you walk through to the main entry. The service from when you enter to when you leave is the best. If you want to get a drink at the bar before dinner it has a great area and recommend that since there isn’t much besides Chelsea market in the area. Outside of the set menu they bring out a little treat to start the meal and bread/butter. The butter looks like cheese and almost tastes like it so much that someone at our table ate the whole thing! Ha. Food is great, but smaller portions. If you are looking for not only good food, but very upscale and fancy meal this is the place. Dress code is business with jacket recommended, but I just came in slacks and a button up. Great experience and service!

A really nice environment with beautiful atmosphere good for business meetings and probably a date. Friendly staff. Now let's talk food, I had the 8 course meal for around $209, the server will ask you couple questions to customize the menu to your liking, the food was great, but for the reputation and the big names behind this restaurant the food wasn't that exciting, out of the 8 dishes only one that was memorable and that's the pork Agnolotti, other than that I don't think I would revisit any of the other dishes. The wine was nice, not much of a variety on the menu but enough to satisfy the diners, I personally didn't like the wine and I tried 3 different once, I was drinking white wine and tried two different once and had to switch to rose which I liked better, it was too acidic but better than the other options, it was a $18 market priced bottle which is a bit odd for a restaurant of this tear. 8 course menu with 3 glasses of wine $340, I can't really say that it was worth it. In conclusion, nice restaurant, good staff, good environment, solid food that lacks excitement, so it's one of those places that you visit and say "that was alright" and probably never think about going back again.

Del Posto is high end dining that caters to a gluten free crowd. This place is extremely thorough when it comes to contamination and I would recommend it to the most sensitive gluten free eaters. We had the 8 course tasting menu and it was all truly great with the pastas being the highlights. The bread (available gluten free) also comes with whipped butter that looks and tastes like burrata. Be careful not to fill up on this course.

One of the most taste tantalizing experiences we have ever had!! We opted for the Captains Menu and were not disappointed!! Not only was the food and ambience out of this world & romantic but, the service here was on another level! This will be one of our go to places when visiting NYC again! Thank you to the wonderful staff and talented chef!

Outstanding! From the beautiful restaurant, too the excellent quality of cocktails, to the amazing service, and of course brilliant food. Expect to pay top dollar, however well worth it. I was there for business, yet will certainly be taking my wife there for a romantic dinner next time we are in NY together.

According to my mother in law: "This just wasn't that good for Christmas eve." I don't know about the guide Michelin or the NYT, but that is THE HIGHEST COMPLIMENT I have ever heard. All joking aside, an absolutely lovely meal. Service was just top notch.

Favourite Italian in the city. Had the set lunch menu and it was amazing. The service was great and the food was outstanding. Wine went great with the meal, started off with the pink champagne, well worth it. Added the pasta course and had the orecchiette with lamb, was amazing.

Very exquisite. This is an experience, great service, delicious food in a very nice setting. We went here for a bday celebration, and it was a great choice overall. The service was on point, awesome wine list. And the captain menu was simething else. All 4 of us have a good time and enjoy everything at the restaurant.

My husband took me there for my birthday the other day and although I can’t say anything bad about the service and the atmosphere the food however was great but not out of this world great. For the record- we had the 8 course vegan tasting menu paired with wine. I get it that it’s hard to cook vegan but I expected a bit more from this kind of place. Even tho it’s nice that a Italian owed restaurant put a vegan menu together to begin with, I’m not sure if I’d go back to have the same menu for that price. For that kind of $ you can have a better meal somewhere else. The service was very attentive and sweet and the live piano music definitely gives it that romantic vibe that most of NY restaurants are missing. In that aspect, it’s quite a gem :)

A well wound coheisve experience. The pacing is tailored to your table and the servers seamlessly whisk your mind away from the fact you're probably dropping $500 per seat. Food is delightful, and the cocktails, if you manage to sneak one in before your meal, are top notch.

Fantastic refined Italian food in a beautiful and elegant space. We had the 5 course menu which also included 2 amuse bouche and post dessert petit fours. The wine pairings were excellent and meant we tried wines we wouldn't usually try. The service was fantastic, attentive without being intrusive. I also liked the fact that the tables were well spaced, something we don't often get back home in London. It is not cheap but worth it for a special meal.
