This place is amazing. They only have fried dumplings. Either for $5 set or $10 set. Got the $5 one and it came with 13 dumplings which was a steal! Not really anywhere to sit down, more of a take and go spot. The staff are so friendly. And they make the dumplings fresh right there. Definitely recommend.
13 dumplings for $5 cash? Honestly, it’s a steal of a deal! I swear the prices haven’t changed in 3+ years. This no frills dumpling spot is THE PLACE for a quick snack! Service is fast (and sometimes friendly), the food is delicious and always hot and fresh.
Cheap eats in Chinatown. Dumplings were not too bad, with pork n chive filling but i have had better ones. The skin is a tad too thick / chewy to my liking. 5 bucks for small order ) 13 dumplings) is really very reasonable for New York City!
This place is a fantastic dumpling spot! 🥟 Fried Dumplings serves (as the name implies) fried ♨️ dumplings for a very affordable price! 🏷️
Definitely get their small order of 13 dumplings for $5 - they are incredibly delicious! 🤤 This place only accepts cash 💵 and has no seating 🪑 so prepare taking your order to-go! 🥡 Staff 👨🍳 is friendly and the service is super quick. ⏲️ I wish I came here sooner!
This was hands-down, some of the best food I had in New York City lol I didn’t have enough cash to go to Sit down restaurant as I did not know, most of the places were cash. Only, I found this little gem, From the screaming lady when she was taking my order to the actual food I got this was probably the most authentic and best experience. I’ve had in Chinatown in New York City lol. 13 dumplings for $5, and a can of soda for a couple more $, can’t go wrong
We expected nothing. 13 dumplings for $ 5. And they were fantastic. These dumplings made my day 😋. I would give 6 stars if they would offer more toppings. If you like dumplings go there👍. It looks like a small kitchen and not like a really fast food shop. But the result is important. Dumplings top.
You may ask why I gave the service such a low score and the establishment such a high score, so let me explain. It is part of the charm of this restaurant. It is very small inside and the idea is to get in, get your food, and get out. Don't follow those rules and get chastised. Don't take your whole group inside only those who are ordering or if a large order and you need help carrying bring one along with you.
However, the dumplings are really indescribable in words. I am not personally a dumplings fan, but my family is so we stopped to get some. I tried one for the experience and they were very delicious. In hindsight I wish I had got a larger order.
Oh, and by the way have an idea of how many you need before you enter. There really isn't much debate about what to get other than dumplings and so the question really comes down to how many. Get some extra because you will not want to stop eating them. Take a stroll to the park about half a block away and enjoy.
im sure we just came on an off day, but our dumplings were not crispy at all. they were slimy and stuck together. clearly from other reviews and pictures, this is not normal, but was very disappointing as we leave nyc soon. the flavor was still great and we finished them and i would definitely come back if i was in the area in hopes of a better experience. $5 for 13 is a great deal!
Great small hole in the wall dumpling shop! The menu is tiny and there are really only 4 options- fried dumplings, 15 for $5 or 30 for $10 or frozen dumplings 30 for $7 or frozen pork buns $7 for 25. There are soy sauce and hot sauce if you want. The dumplings are on the small side but they are flavorful and really hit the spot for cheap. Place is take out only and while the menu on the inside is more expansive, seems like they pared down the menu because of the pandemic.
Want a quick snack or cheap meal? This is the place! The prices have been nearly the same since the beginning of time. In college I used to come by for lunch… 10 dumplings for $2 ($2.50 nowadays)!! Be sure to check the freezer in the back for frozen dumplings to take home; 30 for $6! The woman running the place is hilarious and really sweet when she recognizes you as a regular. The place is tiny, so expect to take your food to-go. Occasionally there is standing room at the counter.
Great place for a snack. Hole in the wall that only sells fried dumplings... They taste great and are really inexpensive.
Sooooo good if you are in china town you have to check it out. The prices are unbelievable, 15 for $5 and 30 for $10. We also got the hot and sour soup for $3. And these were probably some of the best dumplings I’ve had, super juicy and tasty. The service is also super quick. There is no seating but we just walked across the street and sat in the park.
Really good dumplings off the beaten track & well for 6worth the trek. However, she could have some more sauces out as well as napkins. Be advised, it is take out only & $10 for 26 or $5 for 13 dumplings.
This… is the best dumplings I’ve had in my entire life..
There is something very unique to the flavor!
We got 15 pork dumplings for $5
The lady is nice and friendly!
Just a quick cheap grab and go. Got 13 pieces for 5 dollars. Very nice lady
I have walked by Fried Dumpling a thousand times but didn't go in. A woman coming out of the store with her order of dumplings prompted me to go in.
Can you believe 15 crispy, juicy dumplings for $5 ??? And that is a small order. What a deal. Great snack for a small group or lunch for 2. The place is a tiny storefront run by mom/daughter team. The place has been there forever on quirky Mosco street. Take note, there is no seating. But you can take your dumplings across the way to Columbus Park, eat, sit and listen to the Chinese musicians.
Very quick service, tasty dumplings and for an excellent price! Definitely come here you will not be disappointed!
