The first time I went there was after I had taken care of the brother of the owner while at St. Vincent’s. I held onto the card for quite a bit but went there one Friday night and presented it to the waiter—-the meal was so good. I enjoyed the meal and the history of the place.

By far the most amazing pizzas we have ever had. Came all the way from the UK to see what all the fuss was about. And now we understand. This is the pizza paradise. Pure melt in your mouth heaven. Don't even waste your time or dollar trying somewhere else. The queue out the door shouldn't put you off, it don't take long, and well worth. Will be back very soon. ✌️

I'm from CA. What a perfect place for true old style New York pizza. Loved talking to the waitresses. So down to earth. I know why there was a longgggg line waiting to get on!

Initially needed to use the restroom urgently so decided to order a pizza in the meantime. :) Had the mushroom, sausage amd cheese pizza. Mind blowing pizza! Excellent crust, awesome tomato sauce and cheese. Definitely the best pizza I've had so far.

I grew up in NYC and ate a lot of pizza in my life. I even ate out at the expensive fancy places that served pizza. No one makes pizza like John's unless you want to take a jet to Naples. Eating John's is a lot less expensive.

Some colleagues of mine recommend this place as the authentic ‘New York style’ pizzeria. I don’t know if pizza here actually is New York style, but I can say it was veeery good. All ingredients were fresh and tasty. Way better than other so-called ‘Italian’ places in Little Italy, for instance. Staff were quick and super nice. Totally recommend.

As a native New Yorker who grew up in neighborhoods with every fourth storefront being a Pizzeria, it's exciting to go back for one of those all too rare visits. John's of Bleecker was on our list for our previous 2 visits, but we just couldn't get there. This trip we did and it was wonderful. We went for a late lunch, so only had a 15 or so minute wait on an outdoor line. The staff kept us regularly informed of our place in line. Once seated service was friendly and quick. The Fried Zucchini appetizer was excellent and is always one of my favorites. It was crispy on the outside and hot and tender on the inside and was accompanied with a good marinara sauce. I thought the undipped Zucchini needed some salt, but the dipped was perfect. The pizza was a welcome respite from what we've reluctantly become used to after 26 years away from NYC. The crust was thin and perfectly prepared. The cheese and sauce transported me back a generation or two. We didn't do dessert, opting for a local Greenwich Village dessert place instead. We would definitely return, probably opting for a slower time of the day again.

I thought the pizza was delicious. Ordered the house Salad (it's huge, servings for at least 6 people) and Margherita with half pepperoni. Pepperoni had a very nice flavor, and the sauce was incredible. Personally would have like some more crunch to the slice. Crust was great. Lines form very quickly so be willing to wait. Moves quick.

This is the one. I don't think I've had a better classic NY Italian-American pizza than this. It's pricey unlike Joe's, but far more premium for an actual sitdown joint. Get the original with pepperoni added and you won't regret it. The full pie has thin crust (as it should) and so will feed two hungry people or three not-so-hungry people. The wait is long but it's worth getting into this Bleecker street legend.

After eating at over 250 pizzerias, a new King is crowned. Could not get seating the day before due to over a 100 people waiting in line, literally down the block. The Pizza Gods were good to us today. They do not take reservations so be prepared to wait. By the way, it is well worth it.

I mean…y’all already know why your going here lol. My god…pizza tastes perfect! And it looks beautiful! We got lucky and got to sit outside in our own little tent and got to people watch while we waited. Server was friendly and surprisingly we hit this spot around 1:30pm and didn’t have to wait in a line or anything. Famous spot for a reason, just go and get a pizza, you won’t regret it! ❤️🍕

I ordered takeout and my order was ready within 30 minutes on a busy Sunday...the line was out the door. When I got home/ I warmed up the pizza in my oven.. The slice is just perfect- not too heavy- not too light with a perfect amount of cheese and sauce- and the crust was crispy... I'm def ordering 3-4 pies during the Super Bowl from here.. highly recommend this place- lives up to expectations

The best pizza I've had in NYC - thanks to my brother-in-law's obsession with Dave Portnoy! It is on the pricier side of any pizza place I've been to (think we spent about $60ish on two pizzas), but for good reason. Everything about the pizza was perfection - the crust, sauce, toppings, all of it. It is also super filling, feeding three people with two pizzas with maybe a piece or two left. I would definitely recommend getting there early, or risk waiting a bit. There was a line forming about 20-30 min before they even opened. It did seem to move fairly quickly though!

We were introduced to this little gem during our pizza tour (Scott’s Pizza Tour) and it did not disappoint. It has been around since 1915 using a coal fired oven to make their pizza. They opt to place the cheese first, then pour a bit of sauce on top versus the traditional sauce then cheese. You cannot buy just a slice, rather you have to buy the full pie. Honestly, you will probably house that whole pizza anyway so no fret. We fell in love with that initial slice that we tasted on the tour that we decided to go back the next day to try more. It was delicious! We got there around 3 pm and it was packed, but there was just enough room for us. The service is excellent and fast. I highly recommend trying this place because it is deeeeelish!

One bite everybody knows the rules! After one bite, I could not stop! Definitely the best pizza I personally have ever had. With so many fantastic pizza places in the city, this is definitely one I can see myself coming back to every time I visit. Fresh ingredients, the sauce was so freakin good, perfectly cooked crust. Good undercarriage! we also had the meatball appetizer, which is absolutely out of this world. We had great service as well. 10 out of 10 highly recommend!

John's on Bleecker Street Pizzeria in NYC is an absolute hit for pizza lovers! While there might be a bit of a wait to get in, the anticipation only adds to the experience. Their reputation as one of the best pizza places in the city is well-deserved. The moment you sink your teeth into their delicious, thin-crust pies, you'll understand why people flock here. The ingredients are top-notch, the flavors are authentic, and the atmosphere is classic New York. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this is a must-visit spot for an authentic NYC pizza experience. 🍕

Great pizza. We tried the original cheese and the Boom Pie. Both were delicious. Perfectly crispy and cheesy and great flavor. We sat outside on the heated patio and it was very cozy out there. The inside is really cool, as well.

#1 place we wanted to visit while in the city and it certainly did not disappoint. Experience starts at the door where the host was a true professional and managed everyone with ease and a smile. Top 3 pizza pies of my life. Welcome the open atmosphere and share food with your table neighbors, like we did, and enjoy!!

Had the John's original pepperoni pizza, and the fried calamari. They were all great and pretty crispy if you let cool down for a bit. The service was fast and great for how busy it was.

Man, this place was hopping for Sunday night dinner. We ordered a takeout pizza and some pasta. The owner/manager (Kevin) was outside taking carryout orders and managing the long line of people waiting for a table. It's always nice to see a manager working hard! They were busy but he took the time to talk with us. Once he found out we were in town for a "One Bite" pizza vacation, he asked where we were from and we started chatting about the other pizzerias in town, Dave Portnoy, and business in general. He was such a down to earth and friendly guy. Honestly, he made the whole experience. Now the food was excellent as well. Their pizza lives up to the hype. We got the Sasso, which I highly recommend. It was surprisingly just a good (if not better) reheated in the oven later that night. Great crisp, fresh ingredients, and probably the best sauce we had on the trip. So glad we made time to stop at John's. It is a must try for any NYC pizza lover. Hope to see Kevin again next time we're in town!!

A few days ago, I had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful restaurant. The pizza there was undeniably delicious, perhaps the best I've ever had. Not only was the pizza exceptional, but the staff members were also outstanding. However, on that same day, I lost a very valuable object, one that held great sentimental meaning for me. I initially believed that finding it in New York would be an impossible task. Two days later, I decided to call the restaurant just to inquire, and to my surprise, they had found it and kept it for three days. The manager even offered to send it to me, considering that I live in Florida. I am extremely grateful to them; not only was the food exceptional, but their exceptional service even after three days was truly remarkable. I wish to express my gratitude to them and to acknowledge that I am thankful that there are still people who uphold and care for others. It's not just about the excellent pizza, but also the wonderful people behind it.
