First of all, it was a wonderful evening and we were able to sit outside which made dinner even better. Our server was very exciting and friendly. I had the lamb which he recommended and I was not disappointed. It was falling off the bone and was surrounded by the most delicious sauce and risotto. Our cocktails were expertly mixed to perfection and my companions loved their meal as much as I did mine. The bread and olives they bring to the table is wonderful too. I highly recommend experiencing this restaurant.

I like pleasant surprises & just happened to stumble across this obscure restaurant for a late lunch. Very intimate place, inside & was pristine and simple, we dined outdoors. I am not a gazpacho fan but their chilled watermelon gazpacho was simply delish... then I tried their signature Lobster Rissotto topped off with one of the best bloody Mary's (kudos when delicious food is complimented with a competent bartender). Superb dining experience.

The food was delicious and the service excellent. The restaurant staff are professional, friendly, attentive and let their charming personality come through. I had the Roasted Muscovy Duck Breast with Wild Rice, Cranberry Chutney & Mango Drizzle - medium rare - fantastic! The flan for dessert was a pleasing finale! And the cocktails were expertly made. My companions' dishes were equally delicious. Excellent! Thanks for a wonderful evening.

Great staff, good food and wonderful atmosphere. We were visiting from New Orleans where we have our fare share of fine dinning and good food. Bistro Les Amis did not disappoint. The owner was present and pleasant and very engaging.

Simply delectable food.Every flavor screams French. Your steak tartare and Soupe Gratinee a l'oignon are outrageously " tres bonne." I hope to visit this Bistro again on my next trip to New York.

Fun people watching, great lunch, and good portions. My wife said her French Martini was the best she had in the City during our 4 day stay. Friendly staff too, thank you.

Came here because I was craving French onion soup and was told this restaurant is known for it. We came in around 8pm on a Wednesday night and were able to get seated without a reservation. The French onion soup was great and so were the service and vibe of this place. I will be back for more soup :)

The place is charming, service on point, the duck and lamb chops well prepared and tasty and the creme brulee was good. Wish I could give it 5 stars but need to deduct 1 star for the sides. While the duck and lamb were amazing, the sides were pedestrian and simple, lacking any flavor. Not knocking green beans and mash potatoes, but when I can make better tasting versions at home, then something is not right. Same for the wild rice, it was good but had better. And while sides will never be the star, they should contribute, not take away, from the dining experience. I love french food but the lack of flavor on the sides, difficult to ignore. I sincerely hope mgmt takes this as a constructive comment to make sure every plate of food is 100% amazing...even the sides.

The vibe of this place was phenomenal. I popped in around 5:30pm for a drink and dinner, and was promptly seated and taken care of. I ended up ordering the lobster grilled cheese and a royal hawaiian (a gin cocktail from the late 50s) and they went together perfectly. This place is also perfect for people watching, and super close to the Spring St. subway stop, so easy to get to. Would highly recommend.

I had some free time this afternoon. So I stopped by here cause this is my favorite French restaurant. Tho, I’ve never tried the desert before. They were really good! Super smooth and soft. Went really well with a glass of ice Americano in the beautiful afternoon.

Bistro Les Amis is a great French restaurant with amazing decor and an inviting ambiance. The menu is filled with French dishes, including crepes, croissants, and quiches. The coffee was great and flavorful, while the sweet crepes and savory crepes were heavenly. The service is friendly and attentive, making for a lovely brunch. I liked that they had gluten free and vegetarian options so that my friend could have a nice time at a lovely restaurant with me.

A wonderful restaurant. If you are a person that enjoys high quality food at a good price this is a perfect place. It’s not an overpriced restaurant, but the service and every single ingredient is perfect. Went with my wife for a date and we enjoyed a red wine from the house, it was strong and flavorful, and an orange juice that was so fresh and delicious. My wife tried the barley soup, it was full of good ingredients and the salt and spices were great. I ordered a pasta with scallops and shrimp, dried tomatoes and olives, it was simply spectacular, the server told me it was good but it was better than good. After that we share a waffle with strawberries and blueberries, the fruit was fresh and the honey in the waffles was from a quality that is amazing. We will be back for sure. I totally recommend this place.

Wonderful brunch experience. Food was delicious and the waiting staff was super nice. Right near Dominique Ansel Bakery. We got the calamari, the fried gnocchi in pesto, and the eggs Benedict. You also get complimentary bread and butter.

What an evening this was! The restaurant has delicately decorated each table with real candles and a small bouquet of flowers. Their bread was warm and generously, but my only qualm is that it was quite poorly cut. As I was only mildly hungry I opted for their French onion soup and my gosh, this was the best FOS I have ever eaten! So cheesy and warm! For dessert I had gotten some sort of blueberry pastry and the French vanilla ice cream sent me to heaven. The staff were just so friendly it really felt as if almost I was back home. I was truly impressed and shall return ASAP!

Went here for my friend’s bday and the waiters were just nicest people ever! We had the escargots, crab cakes, oysters on half shelf with mussels to share and they taste amazing! I definitely recommend their mussels because the white wine sauce is super tasty and also escargots if you have never tried before. I had the penne with shrimps and scallops and the portion was huge with lots of big shrimps and scallops. My friend had the braised lamb shank and it’s just melt-in-your-mouth delicious!

Wonderful little restaurant. Owner is very personable and involved in making sure the food is exactly to your liking. The calamari was particularly excellent, the other items we ordered were very enjoyable. The setting is cozy, yet open and very welcoming. I look forward to returning, though next time i hope to sit outside.

Wonderful cozy meal recently at Amis. A bit drafty by front, but great to sit by window and watch street action! Our server was fantastic, a French gentleman who was very attentive! The mussels were superb, meaty and broth delicious. The champagne offered both by bottle & glass delicious and reasonably priced. Thank you for a memorable evening!

(12/18/2021 + 12/19/2021) 10 STARS. Both our Brunch and Dinner experiences were simply lovely. Amancio took great care of us on both occasions. From the Chicken Paillard to the French Onion Soup, the Pommes Frites and Tuna Tartare, everything was tasty, creative, fresh and well balanced. Our bar tender and the maitre d' were both extremely hospitable and caring. We simply LOVED dining and spending time @ Bistro Les Amis. We will return on out next trip back to NYC, guaranteed. The SoHo District is a great area to walk and explore as well, take advantage of everything NYC has to offer!

Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at this restaurant this evening. French onion soup is claimed to be the best, and I now understand why. The linguine and clams were served in a creamy tomato sauce which was amazing and the chocolate lava cake just oozed out with dedicate chocolate. Will definitely be back in the near future!

The hubs and I were doing a date night/Christmas wondering/end of a very busy year celebration. We didn't have reservations, but we were out kind of early for dinner and got lucky getting a table at this adorable little restaurant. The staff was friendly and tucked us near the bartoward the front. We ordered a bottle of wine, dinner and dessert. The food was amazing! And the flan, perfect. I had been craving it for months and was excited to see the option. It was creamy, smooth and the perfect caramel meld of flavors. I would definitely recommend this spot. I hope to get back here soon.
