Perfect place and so festive around the holidays. They seated us as quick as possible. Although it was very busy around the theater district. Holiday decor was maxed out in beautiful and our server was so sweet bringing us extra french fries as we were eating them rather quickly. Very reasonable as well for good quality food
Quite nice! I have walked by this place for years (when visiting NYC) this was our first time. We dined after leaving a show nearby, so it was a late meal. The restaurant was not overly busy and it seemed they were closing up by the time we were ready to leave.
The service was generally good, quick and efficient. The food was pretty good as well. My husband ordered the AVOCADO RANCH BURGER (Pepper Jack Cheese, Guacamole, Lettuce, Tomato & Ranch Dressing $17.50) which he enjoyed. We both liked the side of Onion Rings ($7.95) and I had the CHICKEN & WAFFLES (Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Vermont Maple Syrup $23.95) which was very good... but, it was the oddest C&W I've had. They included a few chicken fingers and a random drumstick. It felt...weird. But it was pretty good. Pricey.
Excellent place for burgers. The meat was juicy and tasty, the sauce was full of flavor. The burger was just the right size. The French fries were good.
The cocktails were good, only pricey as within New-York.
Service was nice, we walked in and waited only 10 minutes before being seated.
It is very noisy during peak hours but good ambiance.

Went here a few days ago with friends.
All three of us really enjoyed our meals.
I had the new, seasonal Thanksgiving burger. The patty was stuffed with sausage and cornbread stuffing, and there was cranberry mayo on it. Great flavor combos!
One of the others had the Five Napkin Burger and she loved it!
The third person had the regular cheeseburger with the 5oz. patty so he'd have room for the seasonal dessert: pumpkin cheesecake. He loved both.
When in the city, we'd definitely return.
Great spot to eat with a lot of variety if you’re with a group. It’s rare to go somewhere where you can order a burger and someone else order sushi and both taste delicious! The staff was more friendly than usual compared to restaurants in the area, which was a nice treat. If you are in the area for lunch, I would strongly recommend their lunch specials. ($15 for a decent amount of food)
Great spacious place, nice decor and good food options.
Got roasted brussel sprouts, it was a bit hard and not much taste to it. Also got the impossible burger and fries. Fries were great. Burger was okay I would say. My friends got the one with beef patties and fried chicken, they loved it.
Food was great! Staff was friendly and attentive. Enjoyed a table outside with the exception of the street hustler. Staff was quick to run him off though. Overall enjoyed a delicious meal.
We popped into 5 Napkin on 9th, while in town for a show, and absolutely LOVED it!
From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. The decor was warm and inviting, and felt like a modern place with an old school diner feel.
Leo, our server, was EXCELLENT and represents everything that is great about NYC! He was funny, charismatic, friendly and had a big personality with a smile to match! He took great care of us.
Now, for the food - it was DELICIOUS! I had the turkey sausage, egg and cheese sandwich that was sooo good! We also gad the garlic parmesan wings - do not go here without getting them! To top it off, the espresso martinis were top notch!
We wanted to share feedback on how much we loved the place, so we flagged the manager over, Aaron, and he was super nice and made us feel right at home.
We had to get to the airport for our flight home, or else we would have stayed all afternoon, eating and drinking and enjoying ourselves!
Long story short, I'll be back to NYC in May and will definitely stop in again!
Great burger! Went back on my latest trip to Manhattan and once again, I was delighted! Had the 5 Napkin Burger again and it was delicious. Also had the Brussels sprouts which were excellent as well. The bar came through with a great extra dirty martini. Server Kay was very friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be back next time in town.
5 napkin burger, truffle burger, truffle fries and patty melt. all cooked to order. also had a boozy milkshake enjoyed everything about the place... crowd was hopping 4 a Thursday nite. cocktails, mocktails flowing. ✌️❤️🍔 updated review in 2023 back for more and of course you were amazing again! staff, timing, taste were all awesome
I used to lice this place but last time I went I got a bit disappointed. The onion ring towel was tasteless, the French fries are frozen McCain French fries look alike and tasteless.
Burgers were fine. The music was way too loud couldn’t get a conversation with my partner seating in front of me across the table !
If you like your burgers, you’ll like 5 Napkin. The patties are juicy and the overall burger is rather well balanced. Onion ring tower is a good app, especially with the sauces. Will come back with more of an appetite to try more stuff.
When that burger craving hits, I swear by 5 Napkins. Seriously, they've got spots all over, and every time I swing by, the food and service are just spot-on.
Their burgers are like my guilty pleasure—they've got this crazy mix of flavors that just works. Whether I'm keeping it simple with a classic cheeseburger or going all out with one of their specials, it's a taste explosion. And the best part? The service is always top-notch.
What's cool is that no matter which 5 Napkins I stumble into, it's a vibe. It's like the perfect combo of chill and a touch of fancy.
Lovely hamburger place located in the 9th Ave, in Hell's Kitchen. We've been there on a Saturday afternoon. As weather was great, we've chosen an outdoor seat - but the interior looks great as well. All the staff was lovely with us. They offer a good variety of burgers - and all the three we had were delicious. The blackberry lemonade, suggested by the waitress, was perfect! Nice place to have a burger.
Came here with my mom and boyfriend after Moulin Rouge matinee and couldn’t be happier with the service, quality of food, drinks and amazing happy hour! I’ll definitely come back and highly recommend it to others. We had the vegan cauliflower buffalo wings and guacamole to start, they’re very delicious! I also recommend their cheesecake.
Nice corner restaurant in Hell's Kitchen. Went with a small group on a Sunday and was immediately seated. They seem to regularly have a wait but they are very accommodating. The prices aren't amazing outside of happy hour specials but the burgers are great and the waiters were friendly.
Easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. There was a wait but the hostess squeezed us in and made sure we were seated promptly. The staff were great, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was lively but tolerable. I ordered the Truffle burger and cheese and bacon fries. Would definitely recommend and will easily return here in the future.
I do not have to complain. Environment is very cool and staff very friendly.
Pineapple margarita delicious!
This was the best spinach dip I’ve eaten, the crispy Parmesan on top was delicious.
Truffle burger was amazing, we add a egg and bacon, spot on!
The original burger was very good, juicy and delicious.
I thought good might be generic but not. They do perform decent and good. Especially the onion rings with blue cheese dipping sauces, they are so goood!
