Bonnie Tandy Leblang - BITE OF THE BEST
+3.5
I headed to the Upper East Side at 94th Street to meet some friends at Nick’s Restaurant & Pizzeria. Had I not been invited, I would have passed it by, as it — like many places on Second Avenue — is hard to access surrounded by scaffolding and craters housing what will be the Second Avenue subway.
Great Meal!!! There were 4 of us that had dinner and we all loved this place! Veal Marsala, Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan, and Chicken with lemon butter was all amazing! Service was great. This is a place we'd come to again!
I will come here again and again. Great atmosphere and better food. Had 3 kinds of veal at our table and all were fantastic. Shrimp marinara apptizer was awesome. Save room for dessert or carry it out but do get some.
Nick's is off the hook. When I am in the mood for good Italian food, I make my way to Nick's
This place is totally brick oven pizza restaurant Vibe. You can be blindfolded and know you are about to indulge in some brick oven.
Mimosa was really. Fried calamari tasty with the perfect amount of marinara sauce. (Cause am I right.. most places are cheap with it. NOT this place.) Large Pie: prosciutto, arugula, and red onions. .... ohh my. It was finger licking good. Olive oil on the table for added drizzle for the perfect bite. They did have a dessert menu but honestly the food did enough.
The restaurant had seating but it was a Monday afternoon so would have to see weekends. There seems to be a back room maybe for bigger parties not sure.
Restaurant cleaniness: front of the house spotless, the kitchen and brick oven area looked clean and organized from what I can see, and Bathrooms were cleaned and stocked.
Server Juan was super attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Overall, will definitely come here again.
The pizza was was great and was delicious and my son loved it! You can see them cooking the pizza in a wood burning oven and it comes out hot and gooey. I would recommend the margarita pizza as it is a classic but it is great. Don’t be fooled by the lack of people as it is underrated. The atmosphere is a roomy, vintage style place.
Great atmosphere. Wood fired oven, one of last in NY. Great taste. Will be back again!!!! Great staff!!! Has alcohol menu!
Great place for a delicious meal with a larger group or family! The pizza is incredible and the other dishes are just as delicious. They have family style portions or individual portions. Definitely recommend the margarita pizza, penne vodka (you can ask for it without the prosciutto if you want a vegetarian option), and a side of asparagus, maybe a glass of chianti. Anything on the menu is great, though!
Wheelchair friendly, thankyou to Nick's guys. Great helped at the door! We found it a bit loud at first. After the beer on tap and "Nick's Special Sangria" delicious pizza and eggplant parmigiana appetizer we adjusted. We also felt at home! Everything is served hot, pleasant service and loaded with high quality freshness!
Fyi: Found I believe secret party or family room in the back too. So....I'm getting ideas!
Planning a Nick super challenge suggestion! "The Speedy Birthday Special: Eggplant Parmigiana". We want more eggplant! Your appetizer was the bomb!
After a long day trekking around NYC, we stopped by for some pizza and we were not disappointed. Pizza was so tasty and the service was great. Would certainly recommend.
Food was ok
Nicks home shangria was good
I think the staff was little unwelcoming maybe he was under some kind of trouble
First time in the food was amazing exceeded my expectation. Love supporting our local businesses, look forward to trying new things in my next visit.
If you like wood oven pizza, this is where to get it in the UES!
OMG the bread is fresh, the pasta is plentiful and the service is outstanding. I am so happy that my wife and I stumbled upon this gem and cannot wait for our return trip to NYC to eat here again! Thanks Nick's for the excellent meal and great memories of the Upper East side!
Fantastic pizza and quick, friendly service! The crust is perfectly crispy and the mozzarella tastes so fresh. 10/10 recommend!
Pizza was good, little soggy, but still flavorful
Very solid pizza and great family friend atmosphere!
The pizza is good, the toppings are where they really some. Very fresh, very tasty, including fresh basil on top. Though it was very good, it is not, however, the best, even in the area. If you find yourself here feel free to eat, but it's not even a mile to better.
While new to NY this place was awesome for a first real pizza in the city. Crust was chewy but crust was crispy, was excellent and quick for in person takeout .
Good pizzeria around the corner. Seems to be quite busy in the weekend nights.
