I often grab lunch here and haven't yet tried their dinner, but I gotta say, this place nails it during lunchtime. The vibe is just right and the service is top-notch. Their burgers are a must-try, especially with those crispy fries. And don't even get me started on their Morton steak sauce - it's the bomb on a burger. Pro tip: ask for caramelized onions on top; it's a game changer. Heads up, their medium burgers are more on the medium-well side, so if you're a medium fan, go for medium-rare. Trust me, it's worth it!
I visited Morton's The Steakhouse while in New York City. Two dear friends treated myself and another dear friend to dinner for our birthdays! The atmosphere was warm and inviting! The ambience was calm and soothing! Our waiter was good! I would have said great but he gave more attention to the table of folks that was spending more money. That's understandable! I'm sure he received a huge tip that night. I just think everyone should get the same service regardless of the money they spend. Morton's presented my birthday friend and me with an individual sized cheesecake with strawberries on top and lemon curd on the bottom. It had a lit candle in the middle! After blowing that out, and diving in, we immediately tasted the deliciousness of that dessert. Then they hand wrote us a nice card with a picture of all of us at the table. That was a genuine, heartfelt touch. Thank you Morton's for your excellent customer service!
It was an absolute delight to come here for a celebratory lunch with my co workers. The food was so fresh, savory and the service was pretty great! They were very attentive and quick to correct any mistakes which I appreciated.
Everything was very good but not great.
There are better steakhouses in new york and manhattan.
The potatoes au-gratin we're amazing and probably the best item that we had.
The lavender cosmopolitan drinks were above average.
The onion bread was superb.
The lava cake with ice cream was average.
The Wife and I did our annual trip to NYC to check out the tree and all of the Christmas festivities the city has to offer. This year we wanted to try Morton’s. We first were given bread which was served with plenty of butter to go along with it. Next was our entrees, we wanted to save room for a number of sides so we held off on any appetizers. We enjoyed the 8oz Filet, the 16oz NY Strip complimented with bacon wrapped scallops, the creamed spinach, brussel sprouts and smoked Gouda & bacon Au gratin potatoes. The steaks were delish especially when doused with the truffle butter. The creamed spinach was incredible and so were the Brussels sprouts. I thought the potatoes were okay, but I was happy to give them a try. To finish off the meal we enjoyed a few coffees and a crème brûlée to share. It may have lasted 2 minutes. Very delicious. Our waiter was incredible and made the dining experience wonderful. Glad we stopped in and look forward to go back in the future!
Great decor, ambiance and food. The filet mignon 6 Oz was a perfect size for lunch and super high quality even though it was part of Restaurant Week menu. The French onion soup (they kindly accommodate my request not to add cheese) was also very delicious. As well as garlic string beans. All very solid 5! Oh and omg, the onion bread is bid, fluffy and warm (and complimentary)!
The service was a bit slow (but friendly) though the restaurant was may be 1/3 full on Friday afternoon. So we had to steal spoons from the neighbor table for Creme Brulee eventually as we never received them.
Loved the mellow jazz music, definitely added to the experience.
Wow what an amazing birthday treat. I was treated so well and greeted on the spot. I recommend for the best experience making a reservation and stating what it’s for. I was given a birthday menu specially for me and a picture taken. April is a real doll and great server they are lucky to have her. This experience was a once in a lifetime! Definitely worth it thank you! Thank you Morton’s steakhouse great pick.
Had a wonderful solo experience at this location in Midtown manhattan earlier today during New York Restaurant week. Staff were attentive and friendly. The wedge salad was crisp and plentiful. The filet mignon was juicy and delicious. The prix fixe ended with a smooth and tart key lime pie. Prices for dinner normally start at $100. I would definitely return.
I have been there about four times. The first time everything was great. The second time was wonderful, the third time, one of my guest didn't like the way his meat was cooked. The fourth time I ordered a cheese burger deluxe but instead of fries I asked for mash potatoes. It was Ok but not what I expected. I hope they improved the food section, the wine was excellent and the location was superb. It will be good to give it a try.
Food was amazing! Tender steak, flavorful crab cakes, and a loaded baked potato made to perfection. Very intimate atmosphere. Great for family dining or date night.
