Friendly staff and great environment. First time i tried cuban food. Choose ropa vieja and it was very tasty. Just a little bit salty. The mojito was perfect! š. š
Went for lunch on a Friday afternoon when most of the office crowd was headed home. Lovely restaurant with a great vibe and colour...am sure it would be buzzing in the evenings on weekdays. The service was attentive and very helpful with a vegetarian menu for my friend. The food was good and the portions were just right.
Had an excellent slow cooked pork dinner with vegetables and rice. Atmosphere is festive and the drinks are good! I would highly recommend this restaurant!!
We had a great dinner. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We ordered guacamole for appetizer and we had a nice surprise, comes with plantain chips. Everything we ordered was delicious. We will be back next time we are in NYC.
Been having the Cuban Black bean soup for years now and it is the BEST food in NYC for me personally. It goes so well with the Yuca Frita & Garlic Dip.Ā
Been there in Happy Hours after work and I love their Mojito.
Super happy client of Havana and yes I will come here the next time I am in NYC in 2015
Happy Hour. Stopped in after a full day of Central Park and exploring NYC. Loved the lighting, music and drinks. The caipirinhas and mojitos were delicious and left us craving more. We didn't try any appetizers but they looked and smelled delicious. We came back on Sunday with friends and family to find that they weren't open :( We will definitely be back on our next trip to NYC.
We had a fantastic meal here! The food was incredibly flavourful and delicious. The roasted pork in garlic mojo sauce, tostones, stewed black beans and braised pork shank were all stand-out dishes. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, without being obsequious. A great choice for Cuban food!
Just Perfect. Being Cuban myself, I'm always on the look out for the "Real Deal" and "Havana Restaurant and Bar" is the real deal. The food is authentic and right on the mark. I had the empanada's and they were so good I finished them off. Then the Lechon en Mojo with the white rice and black beans were incredible. What a great fragrance when my plate arrived at the table. Also, I had the Yuca en Ajo. It tasted perfect.
My waiter was above par in the service he provided. If I can make one suggestion, get a table in the back room. It is just the perfect location to enjoy a meal here.
I'll be back again!!!!!
Excellent Experience. We had fun with the server, excellent food and atmosphere. The mojito varieties were plentiful and all were good.
Drinks were fantastic, atmosphere was wonderful. Happy hour specials were fantastic. It was loud enough to not feel awkward, but quiet enough to carry a conversation. Come during happy hour. Caryn was our server: request her if you can, she was the best server I have ever had, and I was a server myself for years.
The Sangria was the best I've ever had - as a matter of fact, it went down a bit too easily. The atmosphere was pretty and the drinks were cheap. Food was good but my bistec encebollado was overcooked and dry.
As appetizers me and my friend Chenster shared ham croquettes and meat filled potatoes, hmmm.. Yummy. I love me some āRopa Viejaā, shredded beef, so I got this dish with yellow rice and beans.Ā Chenster got a pork chop, a dish that due to the humongous portion half became mine. The food was good overall, my dish, the shredded beef didnāt really sit well with my taste buds. I wasnāt really feeling it so I didnāt eat much from it. This is where it gets interesting.
Very good food and comfy experience with awesome with awesome service. We enjoyed two glasses of the red wine during their happy hour which are about $10 each and they also have some cocktails on the happy hour and beer at a great price around six dollars. To eat I had the fillet which came with a yummy peppercorn sauce and heās really good crispy onion, strings and green beans and very nice mashed potatoes and my husband had the pork chop with the truffle sauce, which was smelled really good for my side. I donāt eat pork, but he thought it was delicious and it was quite a good portion. The prices again theyāre not super expensive, but it is common for the area I would say. They also have a nice long bar to enjoy.
More fine dining, entrees tend to be around $30+. Portion sizes are moderate and service was fast and nice. The food itself is great, very flavorful.
The fish tacos had an amazing thin, crispiness and great acidic balance. Quiet and nice atmosphere.
I had a great experience here. Ordered the short rib snd it was fantastic. Her? Not so much. She got the Salmon croquets. Not great. It was busy and we had somewhere to be so we ate at the bar. The bartender was friendly and quick with our order.
This was one of the best dining experiences I think I've had in my life. From the first foot in I was greeted by name by Starlin who seemed to be a psychic. The starter was a blissfully tender octopus that genuinely melted in the mouth. Starlin never missed a beat to answer our questions before we even asked them. I had the short-rib grilled cheese which was to die for and heaps of fries. My partner had a tuna blt which was amazing and felt refreshing at each bite.
If you're in New York city do yourself the pleasure of coming here even just for the service. The delightful food is just an excellent bonus
Beautiful place ! Loved the food and the atmosphere
The lavender martini was outta this world b delicious š
BSTRO 38 is a hidden GEM in the midtown area that was giving a blend of a warm, old-fashioned ambiance vibe but with that modern culinary creativity. The drinks were def a highlight, being "By the Fire" cocktail, perfect zesty start to the meal. A friend got the "Old Fashion," by far smoothest I have ever had. The Tuna Tartare was a fresh and balanced appy, setting the stage for the main event. The Filet Mignon, cooked to tender perfection, melting in your mouth with every bite. The staff are amongst the nicest as they come, always trying to make sure you have the best experience possible. Will definitely be coming back soon!
Excellent food and service! Very festive inside and welcoming. Our server, Sayette, was fantastic giving us recommendations when we asked. Chicken Marsala was delish. Donāt leave without eating the cheesecake!
Great service! Everyone enjoyed their meal. My salmon was perfect and I loved the sauce and veggies it was served with! My husband had the braised short ribs and raved about them.
Good price for the atmosphere and service. Good food, too. Been here several times so as many other places in Manhattan, this place can be pretty crowded especially at the rush hours for dinner and drinking time š. I would definitely visit again when I am back in town. I love how thoughtful the restaurant is with its food. I love the mussels! āŗļø
OMG! This place was amazing! The service could not be beat. I dropped my knife... Oliver was there with a new knife... I dropped my napkin... before I even realized it, the napkin was up and someone else was handing me a new napkin. It was insane. And the food.... the calamari was perfectly tender. Both of out meals we so amazingly good. We came be cause we read a review that this was the best meal of their life.... couldn't agree more!
