Tasty fresh food, an exceptional place for an inexpensive lunch. We had the Ginger BBQ Brisket and Pulled Pork and both were delicious. Prices between $9 and $12 for the food. The iced coffee was also a nice pick even though I found it unusually sweet. Down side is that there’s not a lot of seats available and space is limited. It’s really meant for a quick bite or takeout.
I absolutely loved this place. It's quaint, but has a nice feel. We stared at the chalkboard menu for a few minutes and the worker noticed, so she offered recommendations based on how much time we had and what's popular (she was awesome). We both got the pulled pork (since it's their most popular sandwich) and it was superb. I don't know if I've ever had a better pulled pork sauce. Also, pretty decent price for NYC and good location.
I love this place!! I am blessed to work just a few blocks from it. I have tried every single sandwich on their menu and even though I like all of them, by far my favorite is the five spice glazed pork belly. Their lentil soup when in season is amazing too. I was a bit skeptical at first trying "Cambodian" sandwiches but now they are my favorite! Lunch lines can get long so call in your order for pickup or get it delivered.
I do not eat gluten, so I cannot review the sandwiches, but the Roast Chicken Salad is pretty damn good. I highly suggest it. Cabbage, Peppers, Lettuce and delicious chicken with a fish sauce dressing. Its amazing.
In nice weather, this place can have a really long line, but it moves fast and is well worth the wait.
Give it a try if you are in the area. I have been back 15 times or so already.
The pork belly sandwich was delicious, very tender and well spiced pork. Service was quick but it was empty so that was expected. My only complaint is that for just over $10 it could have been bigger! Also I would have ordered a happy hour (4-7) sandwich for $6 if the poster had not been hidden on one side!
Yes, this sandwich shop is small-- there's a counter across the room from the ordering area so that you can get your food, pull a 180, and scarf it without sitting down. But the flavors are big! I ordered the five-spice glazed pork belly sandwich and never looked back. I will note that most of the components are on the sweet side, but the tang of the pickles (though mild) coupled with the chili mayo help to keep it all in balance. Just the right amount of mayo on my sandwich, not overpowering or palate-coating. The belly is exactly what it should be in texture, nicely rendered, not tough in the slightest, and the pieces were glazed and shining, with a nice bit of char at the ends. The five spice was very muted, which I could see being a negative for some. I especially loved the pickled Asian pear! I honestly could have just eaten that and the slices of meat; the rest of the sandwich was just icing on the cake.
I don't usually hang out in NYC before 3pm but when I do I try to hit up many places.
I stopped by looking for a quick bite to eat but not from a franchise or a cart. This place hit spot. I ordered the catfish because it usually don't see many places selling catfish sandwiches.Even though it was busy for the lunch crowd the orders came out quick. The bread crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The veggies was fresh and crispy. The fish was hot and flaky but might have been too salty for me. lucky everything else in the sandwich was able to tame the saltiness. IT might have been because I didn't buy a drink to wash it down.
I wish there was seating but I guess the rent is too high for that.
Many times in food, it's always the simplest things that are the hardest to get right. One would think that sandwiches should be pretty straight forward and easy to prepare. But even peanut butter and jelly can get screwed up royally. Safe to say this place does Vietnamese sandwiches right... something that's hard to find in this area.
I ordered the Five Spiced Glazed Pork Belly sandwich. It comes with fresh cucumbers, shredded carrots, pickled Asian pear, a spiced mayo, all on a crispy baguette. The pork was soft, flavorful and had a slight kick to it without being over bearing. I actually grabbed a thing of sriracha but didn't end up using it. The veggies were all crunchy and fresh tasting. But the superstar of the sandwich is the bread. It had a nice toasty crisp with a soft chewy center. It absorbed the sauce well and made each bite that much more flavorful.
With a great staff and quick service, and not to mention other delicious options on the menu, I will definitely be back to try them all at some point. Hopefully, the seasonal menu doesn't change before I have that opportunity.
I've tried Num Pang a few times and let me tell you, this places gets HOPPING in the warm months. I've had the Peppercorn Catfish, Pork Belly and Braised pork... all are really amazing though I have to say the portion sizes can leave you wishing for a bit more meat. But everything is always marinated and seasoned perfectly and the bread is quite fresh and right amount of crustiness. Drinks are also pretty good. Lemonade is always tart and sweet.
I have been frequenting this place for only two weeks now, but this place is amazing. If you want to eat healthy food without feeling like you are punishing yourself for your Friday night gluttony, you should give this place a try. Even if you are not specifically looking for healthy food, you should still give this place a try because everything tastes great. The portion size is perfect, filling without making you overeat. I would love to recommend one or two must-try items off the menu, but honestly everything is amazing.
I came here for the first time 4 years ago and they are still amazing (if not better!). This place got me hooked on bahn mi!
Delicious, unique sandwiches here. Simple but so tasty. I tried the 5 spice pork belly, and the steak and both were great. There are only 6 seats in the place though, so plan to eat elsewhere during peak times.
Cute shop with decent sandwiches options (the pork belly and the coconut shrimps are good).

This place is amazing! Heard from some friends at Fox News in NY that this place just opened up next to them and it was a great place to have a quick bite. When I entered the inside was filled with great wall art and a fantastic smell of different kinds of meats and veggies. I ordered the limited duck sandwich. Filled with not only meat but carrots, cucumber and other great veggies; I topped it off with Siracha! I cant wait to go back and try out the other sandwiches they offer.
The sandwiches here are tasty. Very worth the visit. The pork belly is my favorite and just done right. The blood orange lemonade has just the right amount of tang. If you add the siracha sauce it adds just enough kick for your sandwich. You really can't go wrong with any choice you make.
The ingredients here are as fresh as they get for sandwiches. I love the brisket sandwich which comes with pickled vegetables. The catfish is pretty on point as well. Corn on the cob is delish minus all the saucy stuff. Perfect to grab a sandwich for lunch or take a quick tourist break midtown
I ordered spicy tofu sandwich which was good. The bread was nicely toasted, tofu so soft and warm. It comes with cilantro chili mayo which gives little kick of that spicy. The only thing I did not like was the server was rude. She can show some smile.
Food was delicious, I bought the 5 spice pull pork sandwich and ginger brisket sandwich it was really good. Topped it off with the coconut corn on the side for dessert. It’s a bit pricey for the sandwich. Portion could be bigger.
