Great iced vanilla coffee. I see that they had a good selection of quick grab-n-go snacks but we weren’t hungry at the time.
This is one of my favorite chains in the city. First of all, organic coffee. Second, soy milk, cream, milk and skimmed milk are organic as well. Yoga Bunny is one of my favorite drinks and the freshly-squeezed tangerine juice is a steal. I am not a big sandwich fan, but the Pret sandwiches are really great because they bake their breads fresh everyday and use quality ingredients.
I once tried to re-engineer their egg salad sandwich with sun-dried tomatoes using organic products and quality ingredients and it still was sub-par. Also, if you write a review about their employee, they get a Tiffany's star, made of Sterling Silver. They seem to get that Happy Employees produce better quality products.

They have the BEST HOT BREAKFAST SANDWICHES THAT I HAVE EVER TASTED!! I tend to visit the one located on 8th Ave & 50th street!! The staff are SO VERY NICE AND COURTEOUS!! UNLIKE STARBUCKS ON WEST 48TH STREET!! The staff at Starbucks between 8th & 9th aves, most of them are very nice, but the store manager, this little twerp of a lesbian (I ,personally have NO PROBLEMS WITH PEOPLE WHO CHOOSE THEIR SEXUAL ORIENTATION DIFFERENTLY) I am from Hell's Kitchen born & raised and grew up with gays way before they came out and I am speaking about the late 60's to the early 70's!! I am sorry for rambling on about Starbucks. But, back to Pret A Manger, their food and bagels are ALWAYS FRESH!! The prices are a bit steep, but the food is well worth the trip!! I recommend this place to ALOT OF MY FRIENDS AND TO MY DAUGHTERS, AS WELL!! My family owns a produce market on 48th St & 9th Ave, so the workers, I tell them about Pret A Manger and they have started to go there and sample the food!! WONDERFUL PLACE AND THE STAFF ARE ALWAYS CHEERY AND VERY HELPFUL!!! I still have yet to try the coffee their and I LOVE THE COFFEE MACHINES THAT MAKE THE CUSTOM COFFEE FOR THE CUSTOMERS!! AND, IT'S ALWAYS SO NICE & CLEAN & SHINNY!!!
The chicken Cesar salad was pretty good. The chocolate chip cookie was phenomenal! Hardly any seating and if you manager to get a seat you're pretty much on your neighbors lap.
Pret has reliable fresh food and they use great baguettes for their bread! I love going for lunch. My favorite is the grilled Ham & Cheese, and their Chicken & Mozzarella sandwiches.

I don't like Pret because simply they are expensive as hell $$$$$ sandwiches that you can make at home and have taste very similar. $4 for a half, not even a half a piece of baguette with a slice of mozzarella, tomato, basil and shredded chicken. Really?! There are also a large variety of options so of course you're going to want to come back to try them all. I also hear they make a mean ginger beer ale. This is why people are in debt. I refuse to go to take out restaurants like this on my lunch break. I bring my lunch from home if I chose to even eat on any particular day. Also, I've ALWAYS been HORRIBLY TEMPTED to try a sandwich from here like a taunting sick little game it plays with my mind. Finally I caved because Finlay lives here when she has no food in her fridge at home. I will admit, the sandwich was TASTY. My French baguette was soft and perfect. The mozzarella divine and the tangy balsamic reduction on my shredded chicken just satiating enough to make me happy for a few hours. I hate you Pret.
Small yet fully stocked. Fast and friendly service. Love coming to the east coast for my fill of Pret coffee shops... I wish they'd move to the west coast too!!
our favorite ham and cheese bagette in the city. darn good tuna on bagette, and cheese with chutney on bagette too. generally quick service, even when they are swamped, because they have 8 registers up front. oatmeal mixed with granola is good too.
Lovin' me some Pret! You can't beat this. Faster than fast food but REAL food. Fresh, unique items + staples, reasonable price, Great variety, so everyone in group can be satisfied.
Live the ice coffee here, far better than Starbucks. Awesome vegan options as well. My favourite lunching spot in NYC
The food is good and it's nice and cozy inside, great if you are just hanging out with friends. But it's a bit pricey.
always fresh sandwiches and soups with nice comfy chairs and a pleasant atmosphere makes this fast food place standout in a sea of mediocrity.
Employees are very nice. Shakira is good with water and Effé is pretty cool too.
I was shocked, in disbelief at what I just heard from the cashier. I had a chill run through my body, my hair stood up, and I asked the cashier to repeat what he just said. That’s when he leaned closer and repeated those words…. “The coffee is on the house.”
