The food is always exceptional, the service is on point, the cocktails are beautifully crafted, the place is absolutely stunning. Zuma never fails to impress.
Wow. An amazing experience. We did the tasting menu and every bite was to die for! Truffles for days and the cocktails were perfection. Service was very detail oriented. A great celebration!
Every dish bought out was an assault on the senses the flavors were beyond. Highly recommend
Everything was amazing from the food to the decor down to the staff . The Tiger Prawns was one of my favorite dishes along side the Prawn black cod dumplings Def my new favorite spot .
The food was amazing and our waitress lovely! The atmosphere and the music also incredible. Thank you for the great experience.
Excellent ambience and top notch service! One of the best modern Japanese restaurants in Manhattan
Had a group business dinner here and certainly would come back. We had our own room which was nice and private. The food and presentation was what you'd expect from a high end restaurant, delicious and fresh. A good spot for group client dinners.
I had a pleasant dining experience overall. While it wasn't particularly extraordinary, the restaurant offered a decent ambiance and enjoyable elements that made the evening enjoyable.
The atmosphere was pleasant, and I particularly appreciated the presence of a DJ, whose music added a lively touch to the dining experience.
The food served at was satisfying. Although it didn't stand out as exceptionally unique, the dishes were well-prepared and flavorful. The menu offered a decent variety, catering to different tastes and preferences. The presentation of the dishes was appealing, and the portion sizes were appropriate.
The service at the restaurant was noteworthy. The staff members were attentive and friendly, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the evening. The overall service added to the positive experience.
Alfredo was extremely attentive, professional, and knowledgeable. The entire staff were poised, respectful, and helpful. Zuma is more than just a restaurant, it is a true dining experience that I believe everyone should experience.
Thank you for having us and I look forward to visiting again in the near future.
In one word? Divine!
We celebrated a friend's birthday in one of Zuma's private rooms, and it was an incredibly enjoyable experience. Having the entire room to ourselves, along with two attentive waiters, added to the sense of exclusivity. The room itself was spacious and cozy, although I must admit that the choice of music didn't quite align with the restaurant's overall ambiance. Nevertheless, the rest of the establishment exuded a luxurious atmosphere without feeling pretentious.
When it comes to food we were presented with a pre-selected menu consisting of 12 different courses—a sheer delight for any food enthusiast! The dishes were not only meticulously presented but also flavorful and overall delicious. Every item served was of exceptional quality. While I definitely had my favorites, there wasn't a single dish that I didn't enjoy. One that stood out particularly was the seared tuna with chili daikon, which surpassed all expectations and it was so soft it simply melted on my tongue. The thinly sliced sea bass sashimi was another highlight, offering a delightful texture and delicious flavor. I also enjoyed the chef's selection of fresh sashimi and maki, as well as the rice hot pot with mushrooms, even though I'm not particularly fond of their texture. While the beef tenderloin looked visually appealing, it fell slightly short of the anticipated taste. Nevertheless, it was still tasty. Despite feeling full after having 11 courses, I still made room for the sweet finale in terms of a dessert platter featuring fresh fruit, ice cream, and a chocolate fondant.
It definitely was not a cheap night, but everyone's should treat themselves once in a while and Zuma is perfect for that! Visited in June 2023.
Loved this place, great service, food and atmosphere! Would definitely come back.
Great service, our waiter took the time to explain menu items and gave us adequate time to go over the menu. The food was served promptly and the waiters verified it was what you ordered. The prawn and black cod dumplings were my favorite. The drinks were great. I just wished they had more side options.
Yes, yes and yes! Ambiance, Service, Drinks, Food, walking distance from Time Square. It was all amazing! We came here for dinner after watching Lion King on Broadway. It was easy to make a reservation and walk over. Had a great time.
I wanted to come to Zuma in New York after having a great experience at the Las Vegas location. I had an incredible time here. We were celebrating a graduation and the kitchen surprised us with a note on the dessert that we ordered that none of us planed for or asked for. So thank you so much for that Zuma. Super thoughtful. Everything was delicious. We came in. They originally wanted to sit our party across from each other at a long table they have, with other guest. We asked them if we could wait for a booth. They were very polite and said we were more than welcome to. We waited at the bar. Zuma has one of my favorite alcoholic drinks I have ever tasted, the raspberry & passion, fruit martini. The wait was quick and we got seated at the corner booth which was great. The staff was super kind and friendly. I asked our waiter for recommendations and she recommended the pork dumplings if I recall correctly and they were absolutely delicious. I’d pass on the calamari next time but I’m happy to have experienced it. The steak was delicious. I love how the steak is cut for you. The dessert looked amazing and it was fun to eat the different kinds of fruit and treats they had in the bowl. There was a DJ playing when we went which we really enjoyed. He seemed very passionate. Can’t wait to come back.
The plates were nice and heavy and cement like. The decor was great. The ambiance was great. Every detail was nice even how the set the chopsticks up on the chopstick stand.
Awesome food & cocktails. Service was also great. Will go back soon.
I thought this restaurant was so good!! They have such good sushi and it’s so elevated! The food was great but even the space itself is so pretty and nice. It’s a fun vibe and I think it’s worth exploring the different areas. The service was also great and I would for sure come back here again since the food was actually really good.
Zuma New York is the place to go if you’re in the city looking for an awesome vibe, fresh and flavorful food, & industry standard service. Teddie was an accommodating host, as was her staff consisting of Cesar, Ehman, Joe, and Ryan. I can’t even list everything I ate, but some some of the stars are the Torched Sake, Tartar, Waygu, Chilean Sea Bass, Passion Chile Marg, Skirt Steak, and the dessert platter. I will be back.
We started off going upstairs to the lounge area for a drinks since the table wasn’t ready yet. When we are seated for dinner downstairs. We ordered the premium omakase set for 2. I found that they don’t have a lot of sashimi offered in the set. Food quality is good but for the price we paid for. There are better places. The atmosphere is great and do make reservation as this place can get very busy.
Zuma New York offers a delightful dining experience with exceptional Japanese cuisine and a sleek, modern ambiance. While the food and service were impeccable, we were seated 30 minutes after our scheduled reservation time, hence the 4-star rating. The menu offers a diverse range of authentic Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi, and grilled meats, all of which are beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Despite the delay in seating, Zuma New York is still a must-visit for those looking to indulge in high-end Japanese cuisine.
Zuma never disappoints! My husband and I have been to Zuma in London, Istanbul, Dubai and this time it was in our hood in New York! We live so close, but never ended up going there somehow. The food and service were amazing! We ordered dumplings, soft shell crab, tenderloin steak, mushroom rice, tofu salad, and beef skewers…..and we ate them all!! Drinks were good too, though we stuck to whiskey and Prosecco. So, can’t comment much on the cocktails. The music, am romance and professionalism of the staff was high standard. They also have great space for private events. I would go there again!
My review will based on 2 things
1- reception: our reservation was 9 pm we came on time and the host at the door asked us to wait at the bar. We waited 20 min and we asked again and they took us to a counter table which is too bad location and facing the wall .. i asked to change it as I never asked for such table … on of the host was so cold and no hospitality skill at all .. until we met another hist called Norah and she managed to fund us a good table after 45 min !! However , we managed to have a good table in the main restaurant ,, hence the 4 star rating…
2- the food : is great as always prices considerably high but worth it…
Stunning quality food, brilliant service. Having been to the London Zuma, we were keen to try the NYC version. It was as good...if not better!
Our server was fab, friendly and helpful. The food is top drawer. We had a mixture of dishes and I would struggle to pick my favourite! Scallops...Ribeye...Calamari, the list goes on.
Not the cheapest eat, but wonderful. Will be back again hopefully.
Better then Nobu! One of the best resturants in NYC. If you havent tried it's definitely a must try. Dress code is strictly inforced. If your in nyc i highly recommend. All dishes posted below are incredible.
The venue/ambiance are amazing, the food is great, however the service was slow and we had to wave our server múltiple times to remind them of the plates ordered
