What a great place! The food was awesone, minestrone soup and plain cheese pizza. Might be the best pizza I've ever had😋😋😋
Best Italian restaurant upper West side Manhattan New York no question. Best value best food best wait staff. You will not be disappointed.
We had a quick lunch with Mammas Meatballs and Margarita Pizza. The meatballs were huge and delicious. The pizza was also good but I would have preferred it a little more done in the middle. Tiramisu topped off our lunch with coffee. Great place with good atmosphere.
Absolutely delicious food! Sal, the owner, is super friendly, and the wait staff is absolutely wonderful. Can't wait to go back!
Every bite of food was delicious! Service excellent and the restaurant was so quaint and comfortable. I will be back!
Excellent service and wonderful food! Love the ambiance! We will definitely be back!
The food was fabulous and the service was great. Excellent wine selection.
Food was amazing and portions were unbelievable staff was friendly atmosphere was nice
What a fantastic find in the UWS... we knew immediately by the ambiance, the intimate seating and short but sweet menu that this would be an amazing restaurant... so glad we took a chance. Everything was delicious, the service was outstanding. Definitely returning.
Excellent food and service!!! Love the atmosphere and the staff!
Great food. Fabulous eggplant parmigiano, and the salads are wonderful.
Excellent food, very cousy place for a date, we wanna come back any time soon.
Unbelievably good bruschetta, Branzini with potatoes and spinach, ad infinitum!
After a scrumptious dessert experience at another restaurant, we decided to continue our culinary journey and stumbled upon Coppola's West, an Italian gem that left a lasting impression on all of us.
Upon entering Coppola's West, we were immediately charmed by its cozy and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant exuded a rustic charm, creating a warm and welcoming ambiance for patrons to enjoy. Our attentive hostess seated us promptly, and our friendly server made us feel right at home.
Having recently indulged in dessert, we weren't as hungry as we were eager to explore the restaurant's offerings. However, we couldn't resist accompanying our meal with some delightful beverages. The menu boasted an impressive selection of wines, and we chose a red wine that paired perfectly with our chosen dishes, enhancing the flavors and creating a convivial dining experience.
We'd selected this restaurant in advance as it was close to our hotel. We were pretty bummed out when we found out it's now takeout only... The weather was amazing so we decided to order anyway and eat out in Central park 3 blocks away...
The food was delicious and well priced.
The service was done with a smile and we felt welcomed even if the counter was filled with orders ready to go and 3 delivery runners were trying to get them.
The ducked star is for having no other options to walk around to find a place to sit. I understand the concept of eating on the go in NYC, but we would have appreciated a couple of tables/chairs in the empty terrace set up right in front of the restaurant.
Everything we have tried is fantastic here. Great Upper West Side Italian restaurant. The Eggplant portion is huge as is the Cappellini. The Broccoli side is great, we love the garlic bread and calamari. Also love their meatballs, chicken milanese, mashed potatoes & grilled veggie mix.
food was amazing, huge portions and could only eat about half. a bit pricey but portion size makes up for it. giving 4 stars because the restaurant is very small and the waiters/waitresses gave off a bit of a weird judge vibe.
I had grilled eggplant and my friend had pasta. The food was very tasty, portions are big, they had complimentary appetizer, service was great (polite, ontime), reasonable price (mine was $15, my friend’s pasta 25), service fee is included when you get the check(18%), you can pay more though. All and all great 👍🏻
Beautiful little restaurant. Super clean. Staff is polite. The food was great. Good portions. My kids loved it. Will be back.
Old-style Italian. Fresh, classic, cozy atmosphere, great menu, delicious food. We were greeted by the owner who was really friendly. We had accidentally reserved a table at the same restaurant which was located on the East side even though we came to the West side, but the owner arranged a table for us in 25 minutes and had us sit at the bar while we waited which was really nice. The dishes were huge, which came to us as a surprise, a great surprise since we were extremely hungry! Dishes were a tad too pricey, but worth the size and flavours. Only minus was that the service was a bit too hasty, I hardly had my last bite from my plate before it was taken away by the waiter. It was a bit stressful at some point since they were constantly jumping back and forth between different tables. But on the contrary, the service was one of the fastest I have experienced in New York, and very friendly and professional! I am definetely pinpointing this place on the map, and coming back again if I’m around the area!
Going there since 1989... i was younger then.
Great food and service. The Italian cheese cake is truly Italian - Ricotta cheese. Pasta dishes are great, good salads, fish and meat.
Other than having to sit at the bar at the closest chair to the door where I was constantly struck by cold gales, I loved this place. And that's not even a real complaint because it was my fault for showing up there with my girlfriend at dinner time without a reservation at all. Still, the food was great, the drinks were great, and they gave you like two or three things as quasi appetizers without even having to order them. My partner and I had a great time and would love to go back when we put a bit more effort into actually planning the experience. Still though, chef's kiss.
We loved the experience here. Surprisingly fast service despite the exceptional quality of the food. It was fresh and delicious. The staff are all respectful and friendly.
this is one of my favorite Italian restaurant's in NYC which is saying a lot due to the sheer number of other Italian places. there menu is. always spot on with food from all over Italy from comfort food to delicacies. great staff make you feel at home. great for a date dinner with friends to business dinners this place works for all.
Awesome Italian food on the Upper West Side Liquor it's still not available but I'm patiently waiting for its return
Great cozy place for a meal.
The meatballs were delicious. Tender and flavorful with a great marina that perfect: not too sweet or thin like others.
We both enjoyed our dishes. Loved the sauces and everything was fresh.
The service is phenomenal, the food actually tastes homemade, and though the price is up there, it's actually WORTH it! The attention they give you is so intimate and respectful I'd come back and pay just to be treated like a human again. The complimentary bread is a nice added bonus. Their chicken alfredo was AMAZING. I've never been to a place where I ask to see a dessert menu and they return with a whole friggin' platter to choose from, I mean good Lord! And the dessert portions are HUGE! Great place to eat.
Very good Italian choices and hefty portions. I really enjoyed the Salmon. It was perfectly cooked.
The food was incredible and portions were very generous. The attention was excellent and the place is very cozy.
I definitely tell my friends to come here if they want to try Italian food.
Amazing food with quick service! The penne vodka was probably the best I’ve had.
