Well the coffee is similar to Starbucks or Gregory, but the location next to Rockefeller plaza provides an extra star. Tried a coconut pineapple macron and that was nice too.
Bouchon is a French style bakery opened by Thomas Keller so it's not surprising that it excels with dessert and pastries. It was hard to select from the smorgasbord of treats displayed but we ended up with the Oh Oh Cake and two types of macarons. The former was a chocolate Swiss roll enrobed in a hard chocolate shell. It might sound simple on paper but it was a superb dessert especially for those who like their chocolate dark without an overload of sugary sweetness. The cake inside was moist and fairly light, not dense like a mud cake (but it still had a deep chocolate flavour). The cream inside provided some balance to the rich chocolate. For the giant macarons, we chose the rhubarb (seasonal flavour) and the pistachio. I enjoyed both as they were quite different, the fruity rhubarb being a bit tangy with a hint of strawberry, while the pistachio had a nice nutty profile. Texture-wise, they slightly chewy as they should be. Our cafe au laits were burning hot and as you can imagine, did not taste good so feel free to avoid. Absolutely lovely staff who were patient and friendly despite the queues and some indecision on our part. A terrific spot for a break while visiting the Rockefeller Centre though seating might be an issue. But you can always takeaway and eat elsewhere on the grounds of the Rockefeller complex.

They've got excellent big, buttery and flakey croissants and a good spot for people watching in the morning. Not much more I can ask for this early in Manhattan. :) For some reason the croissant tasted better than at the location in Las Vegas.
Perfect location and reasonably priced, with some delicious brownies and PBC to die for! The coffee itself was average though the pleasant service made up for it. The little garden outside is perfect for people watching
Josh instructed us to go to Bouchon Bakery and pick up a selected number of goodies. No problemo! He wanted some macarons, a brownie, and a TKO (Thomas Keller Oreo). Easy enough - he made my shopping list for me, too :). Delicious!. Amazing! It was everything I had hoped it would be and more! The Bouchon Ho Ho is huge, yummy and we went back for a second one the next day! We stopped by again (a third time) on our way to the airport and grabbed sandwiches for the flight -- I got the ham and cheese and my wife got the caprisé.
Great sandwiches and the best double chocolate chunk cookies I have ever had.

Quick and Delicious. When you can't afford the time to sit down anywhere this is a great place to grab a sandwich, salad or some delicious deserts. I had the Caprese Panini and was very happy I opted for savoury as opposed to sweet before exploring more of New York.
However, I was able to try the small Almond cake/loaf which was a perfect balance of sweet and savoury with a dense cake and shavings of almonds. The croissants were very good as well and lineups move fast.
Macaroons. My wife been longing to grab some macaroons. And when we visited NY last Dec,we decided to stop by here. And sure their macaroons don't disappoint her because she was all smile when she tried them.
Nice spot!. We tried this bakery in Rockefeller Center and we would definitely return! We ordered a pistachio macaron, a nutella macaron, a TKO (oreo style cookie but larger), and a malted cookies and cream cup. We liked everything except for the nutella macaron (just wasn't our style, I guess) but everything else was really nice.
SWEET BAKERY. Coffee is super hot in temperature and strong. The pastries are fresh and too pretty to eat. But they are good! It's crowded during the Today show and prepare to wait in line during concerts.
It’s literally a bite of some of the best chocolate cake I’ve ever had.
Last year we went for breakfast at Thomas Keller's Bouchon in Las Vegas, and absolutely loved it! When we booked New York, I was keen to go and sample Bouchon Bakery at Rockefeller Plaza, to sample their baked delights.
The flavor: excellent! Passion fruit tasted like...passion fruit! The texture though was inconsistent. Parts were soft with the perfect crispy outer shell but some other parts were hard. We also picked up a few of Bouchon's chocolates on the way out. They looked like obese Yorks haha
Through a process of elimination we settled on a Bouchon Oh Oh and Chocolate Eclair. Stunning and categorically divine.

wonderful items to take home to the family and friends (or hide for yourself)
I’m not sure if or when I’ll ever visit Thomas Keller’s Per Se or The French Laundry, but I figured that visiting Bouchon Bakery will be the closest I’ll get for a while. So Alli and I took a train to Rockefeller Plaza and arrived to the cafe around 4pm and found a long line inside. Most of the sandwiches were sold out for the day but we luckily had all of the desserts (pictured above) to choose from.
Top notch pastries and great coffee. I did not have lunch there or anything savory but I would assume it is good. Macarons are pretty awesome as well. A+ from Thomas Keller. Friendly staff is the icing on the cake. Long lines, high volume, worth the wait.
The food was good. Just basic pastries done right and there is nothing more beautiful than a well done croissant. I felt a little unclear on how to order or I would have ordered more but that being said, the system they have in place for the number of people that go through there was impressive. The prices were also really great considering the location and the food served. I think I spent less than $10 for the coffee and pain au chocolate which for the city is a good deal. The macarons were also really reasonably priced compared to other areas of the city and I wish I would have gotten some. There's seating but it goes quick. Overall. It was a nice start to my day.
Always love this place, any time that I am in NYC come here for a coffee and some of the pastries. They have a good selection of drinks, savoury and of course the sweet, a few tables outside in a good day and is perfect for a breach, this time we have bird eating with us at the table. Must try
Stopped in here to grab a quick snack and to warm up. The hot chocolate is the most expensive item on the menu but I'm sure that's supply and demand. Don't get me wrong...I wanted more hot chocolate after I had it. Very good and the barista is legit! The coffee crumble cake was great. I like the small layer of chocolate added in the middle. YUM!!! Wish I could have tried more.
Always a great experience! Have been to each location now in NY, Las Vegas and California and all are consistent in a great product. Love the service and having my items ready for a seamless cash out. Favorite every time is the giant Pistachio Macaroons which don’t last long in the bag. Great quality coffee and hot chocolate too! Definitely a place to try if your near Rockefeller!
Great place to grab a snack or a coffee. Their chai latte was awesome! The staff does a good job to get you in and through the line...just be sure you know what you’re wanting to order by the time you get up to the counter. Their oatmeal raisin cookie was out of this world...and it’s huge!
Very busy cafe but the service was quick. We tried the corn soup, which was mediocre. The coffees were good. We ordered the PB&C (peanut butter and chocolate) sandwich cookie, which was tasty, but we enjoyed the chocolate babka more. The pistachio macaroon was perfectly chewy and full of flavour - and the blueberry macaroon wasn't bad too! The staff were super helpful!
We had black coffees, a croissant (A++), a cinnamon bun (solid B, nothing special but tasty), a couple macarons (yes! Get the apple pie with the edible gold paint) and a chocolate chunk cookie I am saving. Everything was very good from the price point to the service. We meant to return but lost time. So, next time!
The sandwiches are very tasty as is the coffee, excellent customer service, they have a lot of freshly baked options. You can see the baked goods straight out of the oven.
Awesome bakery, the smell is amazing, the taste even more, I wish I could try everything there. Large choise of sweets and sandwiches, add to the fact that the coffee is great and the service is quick, and you found amazing place in best location.
